Re: Where To Pre-Order Donkey Kong Bananza On Nintendo Switch 2

Chasloyal

@Skippermonkey I've noticed them coming up as cheapest for a while now but delche may well be a tad squelchy so not even been remotely tempted.

I'd rather go with The Game Collection, Currys or Argos via Complete Savings and you get 10% cashback myself. You can save even more by getting discounted Argos gift cards or One4all cards from CS too!

Re: Sale Predictions Remain Unchanged Despite Switch 2 Price Concerns

Chasloyal

@OldGamer999 I'm hoping to grab a Cube controller from the Nintendo Store ASAP but I fear that won't be likely without getting a console from them.

That is highly improbable because I've been an additional family member for the Online sub for years now 😕 I went on to cdkeys straight away to grab my own personal sub with expansion pass yesterday but I fear I'm locking the gate after the horse has bolted.

Re: Digital Switch 2 Games Being Cheaper Than Physical Is A "Challenge", Says Retailer GAME

Chasloyal

@thenikdavies you took the words right out of my mouth 😄 I am a dinosaur that still has nostalgia for a video game specific retailer on the High Street so have continued to try to support Game. Alas the reality is that Game has gradually become a shower of the proverbial since Fatty Ashley bought it and it's a total disaster now, it's a terrible shame but it's over so RIP Game.

Re: Internal Xbox Email Details Desire To Acquire Nintendo

Chasloyal

If Nintendo were to make some terrible decisions with the launch of the next console and the 'Switch 2' were to tank Wii U style shareholders could be tempted by the billions a Microsoft buyout would bring in.

God forbid this would happen but you can never say never.

Re: Interview: Yosuke Oshino On The Origins And Evolution Of Super Mario Maker

Chasloyal

I am loving MGSV on another platform at the minute but seeing I've popped down to a friend to collect my SMM bundle I'm just going to walk Canine Loyal and then I'll give it a spin.
If you want to get your hands on big releases early it's always advisable to play nicely with your local independent game shop #justsaying

Edit: And yeah the 8 bit classic Mario Amiibo really is rather large and seems to weigh a hell of a lot more than all the other figures, I'd say only the SMC Bowser looks bigger and feels heavier

Re: Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario and Olimar amiibo Now Available for Pre-Order on Official Nintendo UK Store

Chasloyal

@ottospooky and @spideyroxas and @Shinnos and especially for you @jab187

I just received the confirmation email from Matthew Moulding's dark empire disguised as Nintnedo UK stating two, yes @jab187 that's TWO, each of Bowser Jr, Dr Mario and Olimar have shipped and are coming with pony Yodel again, what a joke!

But it does seem perhaps all my fall outs with Zavvi in the past mean they won't knock my orders back like they seem to do with others, just goes to show kicking off and moaning like a brat works

Re: Video: Unboxing the Yarn Yoshi amiibo & Seeing How it Works in Yoshi's Woolly World

Chasloyal

@GrailUK I have plenty of time on my hands, though I'd point out my life has far more important things than Amiibo in it I'm more than happy to let you think that if it makes you feel better about your rather lame complaint.
I'd have thought a thank you would have been far more apt than a dig but it's fine you keep playing the Scouser, believing you're some kind of victim.

Re: Video: Unboxing the Yarn Yoshi amiibo & Seeing How it Works in Yoshi's Woolly World

Chasloyal

@GrailUK
What should be illegal, people who pulled their fingers out and pre-ordered stuff they knew would be in great demand because the manufacturer is purposely releasing those items in short supply to max out their hype is that?

Even now at this very moment in time, 00.14 CET Monday/23.14 BST Sunday you can get the game and green Yoshi bundle for under 50 quid from gameseek.co.uk so I don't see what you're droning on about.......if you're too lazy/ignorant to pre-order highly desired items then you've only got yourself to blame really.

Harsh but true and we all know the truth sometimes hurts hohum

Re: Gallery: The Yarn Yoshi amiibo Is So Cute And Cuddly, It Hurts

Chasloyal

I did manage to track down a pink and a blue Yoshi here in the wilds of yokel Burgenland in the end and have decided to use a load of points I had with GameSeek back in England to put towards the game and green Yoshi box set too.

So that's another 3 Amiibo off the list on their official launch day, sorted

Re: Nintendo's Official UK Store Promises Extra Stock of "Certain amiibo Figures" This Week

Chasloyal

Amazon.de had Little Mac, Robin, Ness and Villager all in their own stock at €14.99 each over the weekend and it's a flat rate of around €5.50 postage to the UK whether you buy one item or loads. So in other words had you snapped up all four of those Amiibo at the same time they would have cost you around 46 quid including the shipping. Amazon.fr had Pac-Man and Toad at the same price last night with around the same shipping price to the UK. If you have an amazon.co.uk account you don't even need to register with any other 'branch' of theirs and their international shipping rates are much of a muchness and actually very reasonable.

I'm at a loss why fellow Brits have this obsession with only buying from UK retailers, it's all the more ironic that I probably fit the stereotype of the ultimate 'little Engländer' more than most but I'm very happy to make purchases from Johnny Foreigner if his prices are more acceptable.

Oh and @Le_Dook I think you'll find you chose to become a foreign country when all your sly draft dodgers kicked off that Easter Uprising nonsense whilst there was a world war taking place on the continent. It's the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.........NOT Eire so please get over it.

Re: Gallery: Marvel At The New amiibo Which We Will Probably Never Get To Own

Chasloyal

@Bat-Moves98
Gold Mario ain't even been released in Europe so the only option to get hold of him was to acquire him from the States at whatever price you could snap him up for on eBay.

Then you add $12 or so Global Shipping Programme postage and then the 20% import duty that is the going rate for all of us unfortunate enough to be citizens of member states within the Trotskyist European Union and the price soon shoots up.

Re: Gallery: Marvel At The New amiibo Which We Will Probably Never Get To Own

Chasloyal

Seeing so many of you whining like a big silly girl's blouse does make me chuckle.
The sense of Amiibo entitlement going on in here is staggering lol and reading the mutterings of you @SavoirFaire had me in fits of laughter. Game, most likely the biggest video games retailer in the UK, sells Amiibo figures at 15 quid which is over 23USD and you're giving it all the you won't pay over $20 bla bla......well good luck with that then.
Nobody is forcing anyone to pay anything but market forces are market forces and right now it's a seller's market out there when it comes to Amiibo. Most of my figures I have got at RRP or even a wee bit less but I've paid as much as £42(65 USD) to get Gold Mario from the States and £25(39 USD) a piece for Meta Knight from Australia and Shulk from Japan. If you want something enough you pay the going rate to get it but if you're not prepared to pay the going rate then you can't really complain about not being able to get it.

Re: Yoshi's Woolly World Launches in North America This October

Chasloyal

I've had this pre-ordered in the bundle with the green yarn Amiibo from Gameseek for months now, set me back 43 n half quid when I got it which is ok but of course with them you pay up front when you order rather than on despatch. I did it as I had faith it would be a decent game and this is actually the first trailer I've seen of it wow yeah it looks extremely coo and definitely was money well spent so roll on next Friday!

Re: Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario and Olimar amiibo Now Available for Pre-Order on Official Nintendo UK Store

Chasloyal

@Alundra-1998
Ok perhaps my gripe with Hermes is more to do with their absolute pony customer support/tracking/ETA once something is out for delivery, I guess they do eventually show on the day they're meant to. Whilst Yodel on the other hand, they make stagecoaches getting turned over by Sioux Indians in the Wild West look a more reliable option. It's no coincidence everyone that ordered the MK8 collector's edition with the blue shell figure this time last year got given a free DLC code of the game as an apologetic sweetener from Ninty............they used Yodel so loads n loads of punters never received the game on the Friday it came out, some were lucky to get it on the Saturday but plenty of others had to wait till the Monday!

@Charlosa
What's this obsession with British people wanting to talk like they're from redkneck Tennessee? I don't want to degenerate this in to another moody tête-à-tête but there's no need for it, plenty of suitable British English terminology out there not to use this backward 'scalp' expression that seems to be all the rage right now. I've noticed many of these who use this American patter that is disturbingly creeping in to our every day language invariably turn out to be types who are the biggest critics of American government foreign policy, oh the irony. Back to the crux of your response now, I'm not quite sure what you deem as touting 'the sh!t out of' people but I don't consider doubling up on RRP as extreme, especially not when there's seller fees, Paypal commission and postage costs to be taken in to consideration. As I said already, I was desperate for one of those Gold Mario Amiibos for my collection, he cost 35USD plus shipping and charges to HM Customs & Excise so ended up working out about 42 quid. Just because some of us inhabiting this planet refuse to pay premium prices for things we want I don't get their logic in slagging out people who provide a service to those of us willing to spend more. Do you go in a pub and kick off at the treacle behind the ramp pulling your pint giving it the you can get a can for a quid in the shop so you're not prepared to weigh her on the £3.50 or whatever the boozer is charging?

Re: Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario and Olimar amiibo Now Available for Pre-Order on Official Nintendo UK Store

@Charlosa
Should I replace the term frontier with the word boundary perhaps? Seeing I live on a road that has some inhabitants under Essex County Council and others under the London Boroughs I thought frontier was quite an apt description. I wasn't aware our manor leads the way in top notch trolls but if you say so who am I to disagree, any recognition of achievements is always welcome.

I would go along with your analogy of me piping up like the not so blessed wee man with his big sports car to be honest but when you're a sufferer of Charette's Syndrome like me it just happens and I mean no harm by it. I think it's safe to say I have got better things in my life to boast about than getting a few Amiibos at RRP but they wouldn't be of any relevance in here so if the shoe fits n all that. Just for the record though, dinlow flashy fast motors really ain't my thing. I can assure you I am just as capable of getting a speeding ticket in our ickle Mazda runaround than any wannabe Roland Ratzenberger in his Porsche is.

I haven't denied being a man child in many a year so no observation prizes for that spot fella but it's still a compliment from you to say so, thank you. You couldn't have read through all my contributions thoroughly though, as you'd have noticed I am actually in Austria already. And though my mummy is a very sickly old lady she does always try lecturing me on my manners, or lack of them, but she's clearly not having any success after all these months of me being marooned out here eh.

Have a lovely evening, tschüß tschüß

Re: Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario and Olimar amiibo Now Available for Pre-Order on Official Nintendo UK Store

@Jab187
I'm 42 actually and I live on the East London/Essex frontier whilst my mother's is 10 miles from the Hungarian border in Austria so you're not on form at the moment Sherlock, you must try harder

@PinkSpider
well that told me then, I'm getting very negative vibes here and I seem to be upsetting exactly the type of people that can't stand me in the big wide world either

@spideyroxas
yeah ordered them all in one order and I have no idea what the procedure is on Nintnedo UK's Amiibo policy. I know that Matthew Moulding's mob have taken over Ninty operations in Britain and that don't bode well. I got my gold New 3DS XL without a problem the day it released but my special edition Majora's Mask never arrived. Seeing my other half was flying out to me the following week they wouldn't mark it down as missing in the post so they refused to send a replacement and that was that, they did eventually issue a refund about a month later.

Re: Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario and Olimar amiibo Now Available for Pre-Order on Official Nintendo UK Store

Chasloyal

@PinkSpider
You just said 'scalper' but according to you you're from the UK so what's with all this septic terminology eh? If you're going to slag me out at least do me the service of using British English and call me a spiv or a tout eh! What next, you're off to an awesome soccer ball game to watch the tot-ten-ham hotspurs?

If you're so tight you refuse to pay a bit extra for your nipper please at least refrain from bringing your nipper in to it eh. I very much doubt your income is lower than mine and if it is then maybe you should be reading him a book rather than blowing your dough on the latest generation consoles with all the games and accessories that come with it for him.

If I was trying to flog anything in here I'd be spouting off my ebay ID don't you think? It seems to me you and plenty like you nowadays suffer from this outrageous sense of entitlement that you deserve everything for nothing because of some obscure notion that you're more worthy than others are. Well sorry there ain't no such thing as a free lunch and seeing you've already confirmed you're that much of a scratcher you won't even buy your figures for 15 quid from somewhere like Game or Amazon you are going to miss out.

And as for muggy @Jab187 calling me "scum" hohoho absolutely priceless. I wonder what terminology you use for the nonces of the world like Gadd and Harris or mass murderers like McGuinness and Mugabe then? Giving it the big bunny like that shows you up for what you are, a spoilt little boy who got sand kicked in his boat during playtime on his first day at primary school.

Enough said

Re: Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario and Olimar amiibo Now Available for Pre-Order on Official Nintendo UK Store

Chasloyal

@Jab187
well It actually means I will already have some fresh highly desired Amiibo back in blighty to list immediately when Mickey Mouse Hermes deliver them week after next rather than wait till she's over here next month and takes back that big batch with her.

When you're the full time carer of a dying relative on the other side of Europe and don't as much as get a penny in wages, never mind state benefits, for doing it things tend to be quite tight financially. So it ain't like my mrs is over every week you know, and she's of course got a full time job, kids bla bla bla

So it's another wee something extra to keep my Ebay ticking over till the she's over at the end of June/start of July. This is no wholesale global Amiibo touting operation, it's merely making my hobby a whole lot cheaper. I got Marth, Toon Link, Zelda and Lucario for 80 Euro off some trader over in Dortmund Germany today because my own Marth and Lucario back in London went for 50 quid the other day.

The only positive about this pony situation I'm in is I do have plenty of spare time to buy/sell stuff here n there. So if it means I can make my entire Amiibo collection pay for itself or make a small profit all the better. Hope that clears everything up for you, not that I owe some random on the interweb an explanation but that's how it is in the real world.

Re: Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario and Olimar amiibo Now Available for Pre-Order on Official Nintendo UK Store

Chasloyal

@Jab187
How do you work that one out, is it that far fetched to strike up a friendship with someone that works in a video game shop then? Nobody stopping you, or anyone else for that matter, from doing the same.

As I have already pointed out, I am prepared to pay inflated prices to get Amiibos I need for my personal collection so I see absolutely nothing wrong in getting a few extra in to sell on to help finance mine.

As for me coming here to troll, says the kid who trapped off at my post hohum

Re: Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario and Olimar amiibo Now Available for Pre-Order on Official Nintendo UK Store

Chasloyal

@PinkSpider
I've paid as much as 42 quid for the gold Mario and 25 quid each for Shulk, Meta Knight and Pac-Man so I know this might be ruthless, or even perhaps heartless, but I will buy to sell at profit any Amiibo that comes my way.

I'm in Austria indefinitely and I know someone in retail over here who has already taken a deposit to guarantee me 2 each of pink yarn Yoshi, blue yarn Yoshi, Pikmin & Olimar, Zero Suit Samus, Dark Pit, Palutena, Greninja, Jigglypuff, Dr Mario, Ganondorf and Bowser Junior which are slated for 28/05, 26/06 and 08/07. The mrs will take them back to sell on Ebay back in England like she does with any I get hold of over here each time she visits

I am prepared to pay stupid dough to get Amiibos I've not got so why should I feel bad about selling some at profit when they come my way at regular prices. That is how capitalism works and we live in a free market economy.

I'd have more faith in an 'I owe you' note from a government official in Greece than I would them Bitcoins lol but a nice suggestion nonetheless.

As for that Reggie, well being from this side of the pond and now actually being marooned in rural Austria on mainland Europe, I don't think it's my place to comment. Hmmmm but I will as I got a big gob, he seems quite an irritating individual with his head firmly lodged up his own Harris...........I been brought up with the notion that it's never a good situation when a boss/chairman is almost as well known as the firm/product/brand itself.

Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Bundles Fire Emblem amiibo with Code Name S.T.E.A.M.

@rjejr
I've got Splatoon with Inkling Squid, Boy and Girl pre-ordered for 60 quid(94 USD) from game.co.uk and no I'm not selling any of them three or the game itself on Ebay as they're all mine. This said though I've also got that Splatoon n Inkling Squid bundle pre-ordered from thegamecollection.net for just over 30 quid(48 USD) from months ago so at that price it weren't worth cancelling as I'll be able to flog the game and amiibo individually to go toward the cost of the other one

I have paid inflated prices for quite a few of my amiibos, including over 40 quid(65 USD) on gold Mario from the States, 25 quid(39 USD) on Pac-Man from Japan, 30 quid(47 USD) on Meta Knight from Australia so I'm sorry but when I get the chance to make some of that dough back I'm going to take it!
