I have this on my SNES and I still bought it for VC so I could stop whenever I wanted and pick up right where I left off without resorting to unofficial emulators.
This is unfortunate but understandable. Ever since Mortal Kombat 1 on the SNES, Nintendo has been unable to shake the "kiddie" image from the minds of most hardcore mature-loving gamers. I myself have yet to buy an M-rated video game on the Wii, but I still have my eyes open on MadWorld.
I wish Nintendo wouldn't be so damn tight-aardvarked about their intellectual properties. They should take this as a compliment. It's not like these people were trying to make money off of it.
So I guess the Mario Kart*, Mario Party, and various Mario sports games don't count, huh? Those had Mario in the title. *All Mario Kart games after the first one, which was only two players.
I really want those Valis games, especially the ones previously unreleased in America (this includes Canada and Mexico). I'd be on board for Syd of Valis and the PC-CD Valis games. Not Super Valis IV though; I already have a hard copy for my SNES and it's too hard.
Tries not to have any hopes for Batman the video game for NES and fails miserably.
I know it's a license issue, but ... damn, that game is good!! I have a hard copy on my NES but that doesn't let me stop and continue whenever I please and playing it on an emulator makes me feel like a cheap whore.
I was hoping for a more 16-bit look, but as long as the game isn't ball-bruisingly difficult, maybe I'll give it a try. I'm sick of being knocked into a pit after one hit from an enemy though.
If they don't want to remake a Zelda game, I guess no one can force them. I personally think it would be nice to have the first Legend of Zelda get the "Link to the Past" treatment or Link to the Past get a 3D treatment, but then I'd also like a good Zelda game where I can play as Zelda. Notice I said "good" so don't give me that CD-i crap.
If I can use a virtual lock-on feature that links Sonic & Knuckles to the other three (including Sonic 1 cuz of the secret bonus stage), I might be interested. Otherwise, I already got at least the first two on my PSP.
While I also consider Final Fight 3 to best the best of the ones I have played (which does not include Revenge or Streetwise), ta gotta realize that it's still a matter of opinion.
I wouldn't mind a side-scroller for the DS provided I get the controls I want (B for jump, Y for attack, etc) at least through controller options. I'm still curious about Dread too.
I never carried my portable gaming systems in my pockets anyway, so this won't be that big a deal for me. Besides, is it really any bigger than the original DS? All I have to do before buying one is make sure my copy of Giana Sisters DS works on it.
And just for that, I won't be buying Super Mario Kart on the VC ... Okay maybe not just that. I've had the game on my actual SNES for years and I'm not crazy about it.
And then these games end up on XBLA and/or PSN ... and/or whatever the PC/MAC equivalent is. Steam? Anyway, if this is true, Nintendo needs to cut the crap. So a few people playing Bionic Commando NES may be inspired to buy the remake on a competitor's console ... so what? That's not going to hurt Nintendo's profits. And I've played bits of Street Racer on an emulator; it's not that great, but it doesn't deserve to be rejected just because it could take attention away from a certain pudgy plumber who's been getting way too much attention as it is.
It might be real, and I'm fine with that. If people want to act like idiots "in the name of God," I say let them. Although the peripheral makes it look fake. Why completely cover the entire Wii remote and add a red cover-button? I mean, the bowling ball I can understand, but this?!
I'm just shy of one Nintendo point or I'd get ExciteBike World Rally and I don't feel like spending ten bucks right now just to get one more point. The game's not going anywhere so I can just wait a while.
To Prosody: First of all, how did you get your message into a box that lets us know you replied to my message? I don't see any reply icons. Second, I'm not worried about gender requirements. I'm worried about boys getting dirty looks for getting a girly controller. Do you know how much crap I had to put up with because I liked playing with dolls as a kid? Luckily, a girl could get either color because blue is bright enough.
I hope they don't actually specify on the box which color is for which gender. Gender barriers suck and need to be crushed. They both look pretty flashy to me though. I might get one of them if they make it Stateside. I was willing to shell out $10 extra (s&h) for a new Classic Controller (Pro), but that's because it had more than just a black finish.
I hope the 500 point price tag doesn't mean this deal is too good to be true. I have been looking forward to this title ever since ... I keep forgetting his name, but in his picture, I think he's wearing a cap, has a goatee, and is holding a cell phone. Anyway, I've been looking forward to this ever since he brought it to my attention.
I hope it has two touch-screens that look better than today's DS touch-screens and that more points can be pressed simultaneously. And we really don't need another hand-held with "Boy" in the name.
I might have gotten a PSP if the internal memory was more like 120GB rather than just 16. I don't want to be swapping out memory sticks repeatedly just because I want more games than the PSP Go can have at one time. I'm not that fond of storing said games on a separate hard disc except for back-up purposes. I imagine it takes longer to transfer a standard UMD-sized game from a hard drive to the PSP Go than it would be to swap discs. Then again, how easy are the memory sticks to swap?

Make this game good and I'll get it. If not, well then...

What if I go out and buy two brand new copies of Darkside Chronicles right now?
Re: New Zelda for Wii Confirmed for Release in 2010
If you want to get my attention this time, Link will have to be a girl.
Maybe even a black one.

This has to be better than the Super Nintendo game, right? Right?!
Re: Early 2010 WiiWare and DSiWare Lineup
If Shantae has controller configuration options, I'll dash out to get a DSi. Otherwise I'll continue to wait for more games for it.
