Re: Sega to Abandon Mature Wii Audience?

BlueFlameBat

This is unfortunate but understandable. Ever since Mortal Kombat 1 on the SNES, Nintendo has been unable to shake the "kiddie" image from the minds of most hardcore mature-loving gamers. I myself have yet to buy an M-rated video game on the Wii, but I still have my eyes open on MadWorld.

Re: Nintendo Silence Talking Link

BlueFlameBat

I wish Nintendo wouldn't be so damn tight-aardvarked about their intellectual properties. They should take this as a compliment. It's not like these people were trying to make money off of it.

Re: Virtual Console Blaster Master To Spearhead Sunsoft Revival

BlueFlameBat

Tries not to have any hopes for Batman the video game for NES and fails miserably.

I know it's a license issue, but ... damn, that game is good!! I have a hard copy on my NES but that doesn't let me stop and continue whenever I please and playing it on an emulator makes me feel like a cheap whore.

Re: Mega Man 10 Heading to WiiWare!

BlueFlameBat

I was hoping for a more 16-bit look, but as long as the game isn't ball-bruisingly difficult, maybe I'll give it a try. I'm sick of being knocked into a pit after one hit from an enemy though.

Re: Nintendo: We Don't Want To Remake Past Zelda Games

BlueFlameBat

If they don't want to remake a Zelda game, I guess no one can force them. I personally think it would be nice to have the first Legend of Zelda get the "Link to the Past" treatment or Link to the Past get a 3D treatment, but then I'd also like a good Zelda game where I can play as Zelda. Notice I said "good" so don't give me that CD-i crap.

Re: Hardware Impressions: Nintendo DSi LL

BlueFlameBat

I never carried my portable gaming systems in my pockets anyway, so this won't be that big a deal for me. Besides, is it really any bigger than the original DS? All I have to do before buying one is make sure my copy of Giana Sisters DS works on it.

Re: Nintendo Blocking Third Party Releases On Virtual Console?

BlueFlameBat

And then these games end up on XBLA and/or PSN ... and/or whatever the PC/MAC equivalent is. Steam? Anyway, if this is true, Nintendo needs to cut the crap. So a few people playing Bionic Commando NES may be inspired to buy the remake on a competitor's console ... so what? That's not going to hurt Nintendo's profits. And I've played bits of Street Racer on an emulator; it's not that great, but it doesn't deserve to be rejected just because it could take attention away from a certain pudgy plumber who's been getting way too much attention as it is.

Re: We Pray - Coming To A Console Near You?

BlueFlameBat

It might be real, and I'm fine with that. If people want to act like idiots "in the name of God," I say let them. Although the peripheral makes it look fake. Why completely cover the entire Wii remote and add a red cover-button? I mean, the bowling ball I can understand, but this?!

Re: New Remote Colours for Good Boys and Girls

BlueFlameBat

To Prosody:
First of all, how did you get your message into a box that lets us know you replied to my message? I don't see any reply icons.
Second, I'm not worried about gender requirements. I'm worried about boys getting dirty looks for getting a girly controller. Do you know how much crap I had to put up with because I liked playing with dolls as a kid? Luckily, a girl could get either color because blue is bright enough.

Re: New Remote Colours for Good Boys and Girls

BlueFlameBat

I hope they don't actually specify on the box which color is for which gender. Gender barriers suck and need to be crushed. They both look pretty flashy to me though. I might get one of them if they make it Stateside. I was willing to shell out $10 extra (s&h) for a new Classic Controller (Pro), but that's because it had more than just a black finish.

Re: Nintendo Download: Winds, Warriors, Dinosaurs and Domo-kun (US)

BlueFlameBat

I hope the 500 point price tag doesn't mean this deal is too good to be true. I have been looking forward to this title ever since ... I keep forgetting his name, but in his picture, I think he's wearing a cap, has a goatee, and is holding a cell phone. Anyway, I've been looking forward to this ever since he brought it to my attention.

Re: Reggie Trash-Talks the PSPgo

BlueFlameBat

I might have gotten a PSP if the internal memory was more like 120GB rather than just 16. I don't want to be swapping out memory sticks repeatedly just because I want more games than the PSP Go can have at one time. I'm not that fond of storing said games on a separate hard disc except for back-up purposes. I imagine it takes longer to transfer a standard UMD-sized game from a hard drive to the PSP Go than it would be to swap discs. Then again, how easy are the memory sticks to swap?
