Re: Zombie Panic in Wonderland Rising Soon in Europe

@Aviator
If this game doesn't get the equivalent of the U.S.'s Teen rating, I'll eat my hat. I think you'll get it.

@Omega
Actually, you might be onto something. If SEGA made a new Space Harriers game for Wii that let you move with the nunchuk's control stick, aim with the Wii remote, fire with the B button, and still somehow not be too similar to Sin & Punishment 2 (even though S&P2 is probably partially inspired by Space Harrier), my interest would be peaked (or is it *piqued?) indeed.
I'm aware of Counter Force, but I don't find the idea of using the nunchuks tilt function for movement appealing and I haven't had a chance to actually test the game to know for sure.

Re: Mothers Against Violence: Violent Games Aren't to Blame, Parents Are

BlueFlameBat

Because you should never blame the people who are actually being violent, right? I'm sick of the blame game. Everyone is responsible for his or her own actions unless he or she is forced into something, and video games don't force you to do things. You also can't expect parents to watch their kids 24/7. They have lives too. Not that parental intervention would hurt.

Re: Zombie Panic in Wonderland Rising Soon in Europe

From what I've seen, it's basically an arcade shooter with a character on the screen that you can move to keep from getting hit rather than just trying to shoot everyone before they have a chance to shoot you.
This is why I wish they'd release the SNES game Wild Guns (not to be confused with Wild West Guns) on the Wii with optional controls that take advantage of the remote and nunchuk.

@turtlelink
Hey, why did you change your avatar? I kinda liked that one. What was it anyway? It looked sort of like a toonish Link with the minish cap, but it was hard to tell because it was so small and blurry. Are these the three fairies who created the Zelda universe?

@Chibi Link
I thought games hit Australia when they hit Europe. Isn't Australia a UK territory?

@turtlelink
I can't wait for Monday! I feel like I have waited 200 years ... and 39 seconds!! And when you say "Monday", are you sure it's this Monday? It could be several Mondays. It could even be a Monday next year or the year after!!
It's like there's a knife in my eye, and everyone is twisting it, turtlelink!
Stop! twisting!! the knife!!!

BTW, whoever is in charge of editing the pages should probably change the listed price from 800 to 1,000 points or have at least two price points.

Re: Feature: The Neo Geo Shooters We Need On Virtual Console

@Corbie
The graphics and colored banners containing the titles were loaded for all the games listed except for Twinkle Star Sprites. It's fixed now, so there's really nothing to worry about.

All of the Aero Fighters games I've played were awesome, by the way ... well, almost. Aero Fighters Assault on the Nintendo 64 was okay, but it could have been much better. Nevertheless, I think there should be a Sonic Wings collection pak which contains all of the Sonic Wings / Aero Fighters games including Aero Fighters Assault and Sonic Wings Special if they can get all the rights to do so. They should also have the SNES version of Aero Fighters on the Virtual Console.

No offense intended, Kristof, but this promotional video looks and sounds like it belongs in the world of South Park or Yu-Gi-Oh.

Re: Feature: The Neo Geo Shooters We Need On Virtual Console

Why is Twinkle Star Sprites listed under Untitled? Error in the making of this article? I haven't played all of these games (...yet...) but out of the ones I did play, I think I enjoyed Twinkle Star Sprites the most because ...er, never mind. But TSS is still my favorite.
I'm not into buying Neo Geo games on the VC, though. I'd be interested in the VC ports if they included the extra options like the ones contained in SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 such as infinite credits and complete controller reconfiguration. Yes, I have the Thrustmaster GameCube/Wii controller, and it may have been top of the line when they first made it, but it sure as hell ain't top of the line anymore.
I'd probably buy Twinkle Star Sprites on the VC regardless because I heard that there was going to be another Twinkle Star Sprites games (a new one, not a port) but it was canceled because the company that made it thought it wouldn't be successful. Perhaps if Twinkle Star Sprites does show up on VC, XBLA, and/or PSN and sells well, the unfinished successor can be resurrected and actually released.

Re: Virtual Console Confirmed for DSiWare

@theblackdragon
I've been burned by April Fools jokes before. I'm not setting myself up for another disappointment. Besides, I just checked the source. The joke was cruel, not funny.
Actually I don't own a DSi and I don't plan to buy one until Nintendo somehow allows users to transfer digital rights from one unit to another in case of getting stolen or trading up to a superior model. This still would be cool if it wasn't BS though.

Re: New Metroid: Other M Gameplay Trailer

BlueFlameBat

Now I'm just confused. I knew about the first-person missile shooting, but I thought the side-scrolling part was going to be side-side-scrolling like the 2D Metroid games. So it's gonna be more like Final Fight and Spider-Man Friend or Foe?

Re: Select Downloadable Games Available for Purchase on Nintendo's Web Site

BlueFlameBat

So even if I don't have any points left over, I don't have to pay $10 every time I want to buy a game that is less than 1,000 points?

aaronsullivan has a point. I learned not so long ago that merchants have to pay a fee for credit and debit transactions made at their stores. I think a deal like PSN where you buy a minimum of 500 points plus however many more points is required would be a much better deal and it wouldn't hit the merchants as hard.

Re: Cave Story to Cost 1200 Wii Points

BlueFlameBat

For 1200 points, I'll wait for at least one full review. Meanwhile, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Zombie Panic in Wonderland this Monday. If there's no Zombie Panic in the U.S. this Monday, I may blame Sean Aaron.
