Re: Racers' Islands: Crazy Racers Zooms to WiiWare

BlueFlameBat

The gameplay described reminds me of Cel Damage. I'm not that crazy about games where you lose completely when you're a half-inch away from the finish line because of an item though. On that note, I won't be buying anymore Mario Kart games until Nintendo cuts the blue shell crap ... but that's another subject entirely.

Re: Oh Look, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Sold Better Than Expected

BlueFlameBat

Okay, so Dead Rising for the Wii was a bust, but didn't they do more than just downgrade the graphics? Weren't some other features like jumping and taking pictures also removed?
I don't believe I have seen any screen shots of Marvel vs Capcom 3, but if it's done in sprites, Wii should be able to handle it.

Sorry. Something stuck in my throat. I'm looking forward to Monday provided there are no slip-ups.

Re: Nintendo's Upcoming U.S. Release Schedule Gets Updated

BlueFlameBat

@lz2010 The archaic "damsel in distress" angle. That Samus Aran is pretty much the only brave female in the Nintendo universe is degrading. With the exception of a few F-Zero pilots, that's pretty much it. I think it's time for Nintendo to step forward. You don't have to agree with me. In fact, I almost expect you not to, because people on message boards tend to shoot my opinions down a lot. That's the price I pay for being a critical thinker.

Re: Nintendo's Upcoming U.S. Release Schedule Gets Updated

BlueFlameBat

Well at least it's less money for me to spend now.
I'll give SMG2 a look-see, but I am getting deathly sick of stories involving princesses who are constantly getting kidnapped can't even defend themselves from a damn baby turtle with a paint brush!!
I wonder how much protesting the talented but politically archaic Miyamoto made against Super Princess Peach.

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th April 2010 (North America)

BlueFlameBat

I can appreciate DLC that requires currency if it's made after the game is released, but when it's already on there and you have to pay for it anyway, especially if it's right there on the character selection screen and it tells you that you have to purchase it when you select it, is tacky and I won't support it this time. This time I won't be getting the game at all unless I find out for certain that having both versions will mean getting everything. CAPCOM should do the right thing and provide free unlockings for both games, but we all know that's never gonna happen. At any rate, I think everyone who bought Street Fighter IV and buys Super Street Fighter IV should be entitled to every costume at no additional charge.

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th April 2010 (North America)

BlueFlameBat

Nothing interesting here. And after finding out that CAPCOM will still be charging for alternate outfits already on the disc of Super Street Fighter IV, I'm quite pissed off at CAPCOM at the moment, so pretty much everything related to CAPCOM right now, including Mege Man, only makes me sick.

NEXT!!!

Re: Sega Bringing Gunblade NY and LA Machineguns to Wii

BlueFlameBat

This is great and all, but when are we gonna get Virtua Cop?
And how many credits do we get this time?

As for Time Crisis, Sony may not own the series, but they probably think they do and would threaten NAMCO for even considering ports to a non-Sony console. I don't know what they could threaten then with, but they probably have enough highly-skilled lawyers to get them acquitted from assassinations even if the evidence is clear. Of course that's just speculation.

Re: Ryu, Ken and Sagat May Get Street Fitter on Wii

BlueFlameBat

Most XBox 360 and PS3 fanatics say TvC is more than a fair trade for Wii not having SF4, while some complain that TvC should be on XB360 and PS3 anyway. Well, XB360 and PS3 have a ****-load of fighting games that the Wii doesn't so I think it would be fair to have Super Street Fighter 4 on the Wii!

Re: Wild Guns

BlueFlameBat

The d-pad usually moves both the character and the cross-hair, but when you hold the shoot button down, your character remains stationary and the d-pad moves only the cross-hair. You can dodge enemy fire while holding the shoot button by pressing the jump button while holding left or right. And yes, you are firing rapidly while holding the shoot button.

What I want for a Wii remake is to move the character with the nunchuk's control stick, move the cross-hair with the Wii remote, shoot with the B trigger, jump with the A button, bomb with either C or Z on the nunchuk, and quick-dodge enemy fire by shaking the nunchuk left or right. How would that sound to you? I'd also want controller options because I'm not selfish and I know there are people out there who prefer firing using the A button for whatever reason.

If any of Luc Bernard's games make it to Wii, that'll be a miracle in itself. I'm still waiting for Rose Princess.

Wait! What?! It is?! I thought this was just added to the website for reference purposes!

Re: Review: Zombie Panic in Wonderland (WiiWare)

BlueFlameBat

@climber
Kinda short. How's the replay value? Personally, I'd like a Wii remake of the SNES game Wild Guns, but you already know that, don't you?

I'm making a point to quit obsessing about this game and remakes of Wild Guns. I'm not making any promises though.

Re: Don't Toss Those Old Controllers Yet

BlueFlameBat

So I could finally play Sin & Punishment the way it was meant to be played ... minus Rumble Pak compatibility of course, I'd imagine. Hopefully Nintendo cannot (or at least will not) disable this with an update. I only want it for the N64 controller if it's mapped correctly. I have a two classic controllers as well as several rechargeable batteries and I don't have a problem holding the Wii remote sideways like an NES pad.

Re: Zombie Panic in Wonderland Rising Soon in Europe

BlueFlameBat

Dammit! I was just about to provide This link here as a surprise to cheer the Australian hopefuls up and then this happens! How can they make time to pass silly laws like that one that compares exposed adult females' small breasts to kiddie porn but not rate a few games?! Australia needs a revolution!
And no, I'm not encouraging a violent uprising in which the officials are captured and killed, but Australia's book of laws needs some serious re-editing.
