Most Japanese developers are still focusing on PS3 rather than PS4 and are making cross gen games. The next Yakuza game for Japan is still coming to PS3. KH3 and FF XV are still the BIGGEST Japanese games coming to the system. Japan doesn't care that much for big Western releases and I actually love that about them.

@AVahne The Japanese support will come when the Wii U sells just a tad bit more stronger. We got a One Piece fighting game and that's their way of testing us if we like those type of anime fighting games. JRPGs are so accustomed to Playstaton platforms that its gonna take a good while even with the PS4 selling badly in Japan to come to Wii U.

Better software lineup = better sales. You can only find certain experiences on Nintendo platforms... hence why people are becoming more interested.

@dumedum Well, I'm not really laughing at the PS4. It just shows the downside to being so western. PS4 is selling well everywhere else except Japan because it so western. It really does seem like Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV are the biggest Japanese games coming to the console.... which is good and bad at the same time. But I'm sure Japanese developers will come to PS4 over time.

The Wii U is doing okay.... but seriously... the PS4 is doing horrible in Japan and the big media outlets just don't care. I've only seen one article about how the PS4 is doing bad in Japan.
