It's safe to say this isn't your garden variety game. As long as there are no bugs, then the game is probably grade A. They have been churning out these games though year after year so I wouldn't be shocked if this didn't yield the results they were looking for in sales. Bottom line, moove over other farming sims... this takes the blue ribbon.
Awesome I guess that their Switch took that beating with just scratches..
but do they live in an RV park? Are they on vacation? Do they tour the country throwing around for a living? I have a hundred questions about what I just watched that have nothing to do with juggling or the Switch.
These are those moments when I sit in my office on a Friday, watch a video like this, look out my window and question my life choices. lol
40+10 for Takumi!? Wow.. he's overpowered enough as is. I have mine I was fortunate enough to get grinded up to 40 but I can't imagine 40+10. I use him to level up my 20 somethings higher once they get to that point. If they get in trouble, he rushes in to save the day. LOL
Now that the switch (and Zelda) are here, I've probably played my last serious games with it. I didn't even touch it over the weekend. I got a good few weeks out of it though but they are releasing Mario Run at a really weird time... for android at least. Switch is going to drowned out the mobile games.
@SmaMan Well shame on me anyway I guess... That looks awesome! I can't believe that was on the GBC especially when the GB version was so awful. I did really miss out on that one.
The original Dragon's Lair for Gameboy was such an awful game I wish it would have just came up with a warning screen that said "This game shouldn't be played on Gameboy at all." I didn't even know they made another one for GBC but it wouldn't have mattered. Fool me once...
MAPPY!! LOVE Mappy.. can still here the little "sprongy" sound from the trampolines echoing out of the arcade I grew up with. The sound on that game was louder than all the others in that part of the arcade. Probably by design to attract attention now that I think about it. I'd love that on mobile!
@thesilverbrick That was the same thought I had when it first came up. Glad they didn't go with that design for the Boo hat...
Although it was kind of a missed opportunity design wise to not make that one a ski mask. I can see a Shy Guy Gang start a string a bank robberies across the country.
The Futuridium deal only works the one way correct? have to buy the WiiU version to get the 3DS one free? I have my 3DS with me at work to play over lunch but if I need to wait til I get home to buy, I will be doing that instead. Oh.. and SCIV.
@shaneoh When I was growing up in the eighties, my mother and all her friends called it "INtendAH". You boys run along and play your Intendah machines. Mom... for good grief... NIN.. NINtendO. You sound like a hillbilly when you say it that way.
@LegendOfPokemon I completely agree... I had my hopes up all week looking forward to Super Punch-out today. Should have known better. It's the cherry on top of all the disappointment from yesterday.
Yes! Finally a game on my wishlist went on sale! It's been so long i forgot this feeling of satisfaction in being patient. SmileBASIC is mine! I loved programming in BASIC as a kid... can't wait to get back into it. I may even be able to see a few ideas I had as a kid come to fruition.
This video put a stupid grin on my face this morning making me think back to one of my favorite Christmas's growing up. I had spent the entire summer mowing yards to save up enough money to buy my NES but after all that hard work, I only had enough for the system. No extra games. In a world where the only "fix" you could get for video gaming aside from the actual games themselves were the colorful magazines on the shelves, only having Mario/Duck Hunt wasn't much. But after a few months, that Christmas I received three classics. Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and Super Mario Bros. 2. I just remember staring at them for what seemed an eternity to make it through Christmas Dinner and the usual family proceedings until I could rip them open and play.
I agree with all the other "old" gamers above. I feel like kids today take for granted a world full of gaming where more truly is less. I'm so grateful to have grown up through the birth of the gaming era. To have lived in a time when less was actually more really makes me appreciate what all there is to choose from today. This video is a testament to that.
And to how much the Indiana Jones game sucked. Come on.. the four year old even knew it. LOL
I think from the reaction of a lot of people, that those that like specific franchises want games styled like they usually are. If Nintendo wants to include different controls or mechanics or an all new storyline, thats one thing but Metroid without Samus? An Animal Crossing board game? If they want to try different things then make a whole new IP. It worked great for Splatoon. I don't think that concept would be near as fun if it was just Mario and Friends running around splatting each other with paintball guns. All the charm would be gone.
Don't use existing IP's that only leave the fans of them disappointed with what they are given. They draw out new games for certain ones so long that when they finally come out with something and it's this... that only makes it worse. Now how long will it be until a REAL Animal Crossing game comes out? Or a REAL Metroid? Those fans are left with nothing until then.

Re: Review: Farming Simulator: Nintendo Switch Edition (Switch)
@Mr_Pepperami Can't. I'm too chicken.
Re: Review: Farming Simulator: Nintendo Switch Edition (Switch)
@Milton_Burle Oh man.. if they did that, I'd say they would have had a game that was the GOAT. As is... it's not too baaaad.
Re: Review: Farming Simulator: Nintendo Switch Edition (Switch)
@Mr_Pepperami It's ok. Don't be sheepish about it.. we're all just horsing around anyway.
Re: Review: Farming Simulator: Nintendo Switch Edition (Switch)
@Mr_Pepperami Hay... those jokes were corny.
Re: Kickstarter Title Anew: The Distant Light Is Heading To Nintendo Switch
@MrPuzzlez Oh they took notice... and if it is TOO Metroid-inspired, they will give this developer a notice of their own in the form of a C&D.
