I will join the chorus of readers saying the art style was a big let down for me. There are some indie devs creating incredibly looking modern pixel art with mood lighting which would be perfect for this type of game.
Also not a fan of the difficulty options here. The game just feels unfair on any setting.
Had the Switch 2 for a couple of months now and haven't bought any first party Nintendo games. I have no intention of buying 15 year old games for those prices.
Having a mouse style controller included in the box is a pretty big deal to me. Also - no one wants any company to be making changes just for the sake of it.
@DarkTron apart from the monster designs, Dragon Quest was also a monster catching game and it released in 1992. The first Pokemon released in 1996. 4 years seem like the ideal time frame to come with a concept for a similar game, pitch it and develop it.
Before either Pokemon or Dragon Quest there was Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei in the late 80s which introduced the monster catching idea.
@Elitepatriot Played it on Xbox and did not notice any microtransactions. Not saying that there aren't any.. I have not checked. But if they exist they're not in your face. Also played it entirely in single player and it was good fun.
@Vyacheslav333 I am 45 and at the Gamescom Nintendo booth I was told I cannot try Prince of Persia The Lost Crown unless I verified my age first. Nintendo policy.
@Polvasti There is a pretty ugly bug early in the game which locks you out of progressing with one of the guilds. Still has not been patched as far as I know.
I am not a fan of these visuals. The characters look amazing but I feel that 16bit pixel art or cel shaded 3d would have been better options. This style lacks charm.
I just got an Xbox Series X so I will be playing Outriders and Gears of War Tactics. Loving the buttery smooth framerates and sharp resolutions so far. Plus quick resume is pure genius. Goes without saying that Monster Hunter Rise is still on the menu.
@PBandSmelly I find absolutely no issue with having micro-transactions for cosmetics in game, as long as the game is made excessively grindy for those who prefer to play rather then spend extra cash. The extra cash encourages the devs to release extra content so it is a win win.

@FishyS I think Nintendo have their own lawyers, so this won't cost them an extra cent.

Re: Talking Point: If 'Switch 2' Isn't Coming Until 2025, What's Nintendo Got Up Its Sleeve This Year?
A permanent and proper reduction in price to 7 year old games would be a good start.
Re: Sega Reports 'Sluggish' Sales Of Sonic Superstars And Other Major Titles
I bought Endless Dungeon but at launch it was lacking. They made some improvements but the state of the game at launch made me regret my purchase.

Still crashing for me... And, as far as I can tell, the DLC is downloaded.

Re: EA Looking To Bring More Of Its Successful Games To Switch
Just bring Skate 3 and SSX to the Switch. A new IP would also be nice.
Re: Review: SEGA AGES Virtua Racing - A Truly Historic Remaster Effort By M2
@Silly_G The arcade machine supported up to 8 players. It would need a lot of work just to bump that number up.
