Awesome direct. So many games to look forward to, and cant wait to Get my hands on mk8 dlc! so many great tracks being revived 😃 I know people want mk9, but for me, this dlc is more than enough to keep MK fresh for a long time.

Nintendo dont buy any, its the other companys that pay to be a part of Nintendo.

There is alot more than the gamepass income they will Get from this. Just look at the WoW store alone and all WoW/blizzard related products around the world. And now they can do whatever they want to increase the income and franchise through Microsoft corp.
Dont think they belive they will go profit after 1 year.. main focus will be to increase/boost what already is, and slowly earn into profits.

My guess is that they have done this because of 3 factors.

1. Game changer against their rivals
2. USA vs china.. they are trying to make sure that tencent dosent Get to big or takes the lead.
3. was the right time to buy while Activision/blizzard lay wounded and needed a helping hand/escape route.

Cant wait ! One of my favourite games on the snes. Alot of good games coming this spring, got Nothing to complain about 😃

I belive MK9 and zelda botw 2 will be launch games for switch 2. So either next christmas or somewhere in 2023.

Would make sense to have Zelda botw 2 as a launch title in late 23/early 24. One thing is for sure, day 1 insta buy.

If i have to pick One, my GOTY goes to Mario party superstars. Have given and still gives me and my wife alot of fun moments together 😊

Short answer : Yes.
I belive many are like me, cant live without mario kart, mario, zelda, pokemon etc etc...Nintendo has their own style/genre/quality that no one is interested to compete against, so unless nintendo games starts to fail big time on what we expect from nintendo, i cant see how nintendo wont be highly relevant for many years to come.

Well deserved. MP superstars is the best MP i have played. Played since orginal MP.

If this is the last major update, do they plan to release a new AC game in 2-4 years ? Maybe because of the «switch pro» that will release in 1-3 years with stronger hardware 🤔

Maybe the best console i have had/have (have had them all since the early 90s, including this gen).
Only thing that i miss alot is some type of miiverse, social hub, and more party games like nintendoland and Wii party u. 😊

Using my oled these days, so im trying to many games to list, but Marvel ultimate alliance 3, mario kart and cozy grove gets alot of attention 😊

@Snatcher hehe. They are gonna buy into this, because its the future and its better than the past. People buy ps5 games for more, people bought n64 games that cost 80 bucks over 20 years ago. In my opinion the direction nintendo is taking is natural, fair and good. Its a payment model that gives alot of good content for little money, and nintendo gets the oppurtunity to grow more, its a win win. If everything Else was like before, when we rented 1 and 1 vhs movie etc and had high expenses on entertainment, then i would understand better.. but now when everything is digital its a different ballgame. Its costs almost nothing to have access to a huuuuuge library of music, movies, games, and u can decide month to month, year to year what you wanna use your money on.
Nintendo understand their market and uses their strengths. Old games that makes old people happy AND new generations that havent played it before, on top of that they now include content to their most popular modern game (maybe games).

Crazy times we live in. Consuming has taken a different level and nothing is good enough.

Because its one of their big hits right now this gen, and the content that arrives is a big puller. Maybe more dlc will show up for other games under that umbrella.

Its your opinion that the content is bad content, but my guess is that a very big % of the switch users are gonna unsubscribe from non or 1 of their 10-15 subscriptions that costs 60-120 $ each year so they can have the new nso subscription. And why ? Because majority likes the content, and its optional to unsubscribe later, like with everything else.

Its as simple as this.. for 50 bucks a year you Get access to 10s, if not soon in the 100s, quality games, online, AC content and other exclusivity. Its awesome value if you want it. If you want call of duty etc, Get an Xbox series s with gamepass.
Dont Get the problem at all. Stop subscribing on YouTube, Twitch, Apple music, Netflix, hbo, Amazon prime, Disney etc etc etc if its to much money... if you Get off One of those, you can afford that little sum of money Nintendo is asking for, for so much great content. I can understand that some dont see the value, but why complain ? Nintendo offers Nintendo content that suits their users.. AC is on fire and great focus by Nintendo. All the new great dlc is gonna make many log in again.

What are they getting away with ? Nintendo is unique, family friendly and do what they can so most people can have access to their content. They are always cheap and create content that puts a smile on many. They are the most indie FriendLy platform, just look at all the free advertisement they Get. The NSO is not something you need, the old games etc is a choise.. and the small amount of money they Get from this goes to improve Even further, and they have to take some payment, because the game industry has changed, and they have actually put some work into this, so they deserve the money.

Some would argue that their AAA titles dosent go on sale, but Come on... in my opinion there is 1 company that you can trust in delivery of high quality, and thats Nintendo.

And for last, they have to limit the content and spread it out or Else people would be overwhelmed and it would give a negative effect instead. They give you time to play thru games before loading another.

Cant understand why people complain about this. The orginal deal is super cheap. The new deal is also very cheap. Atleast Nintendo is offering options, 2 very cheap options. Cant expect Nintendo to give away everything for free, and i dont want them to, i want them to earn something and create more fantastic games. 20 years ago this was our dream... games are cheaper, content/library is 100x bigger and better, gamepass/NSO is fantastic. Gamers are spoiled today, you cant complain about these deals unless you are homeless with 0 money, but then you are the problem, not Nintendo.

Afraid ? They have done a mostly handheld upgrade, easy as that. Dont see why they should point out that its mostly a handheld upgrade. That would be wierd. I use mine in handheld alot because of family life, therefor i see a great value in upgrading to the oled because of a bigger and better screen. Its like with ipads.. if only the ipad mini was availble first, i would upgrade to a normal size when released. Bonus with a better screen and cabled wifi. And ofc.. white/black design is awesome.

edit: Just want to add that i see the nintendo machine as a ipad now. If they announce a new switch with only bigger screen next year, from 7 inch to 8-9 inch, i would buy that one to, but most likely a screen size like that wont happen before the hardware gets an upgrade bcs of resolution i guess.

This is an handheld upgrade, why talk about what it can do plugged to a tv ?

Cant wait to get mine. Says delivery date 12/10. Havent played any singelplayer games in a long time, waiting for the oled before i start new saves. Time to do something with the huge backlog. Bought a 512gb sd card also for it on sale.

Banjo was a Nice suprise. I second the hopes for diddy kong racing. So much good, an easy sub. Switch keeps on giving and giving. 😃

Hoping for an NSO update that will add n64/gamecube games etc, or/and release date for Zelda MM,Oot, ww remake/remaster . Some new games are also welcome, hoping for a hack and slash game from Nintendo that can compete against PoE, diablo.

I love this game. Worth every penny 😊

Here in norway i got the game today for 450nkr as a normal price at the biggest store here. Its about 45 dollars in U.S when i calculate the economy difference. A 60 dollars game in U.S usually costs 72 dollars in norway.

Its why i didnt bother waiting with the purchase, a great price for a great game 😃 Glad to see the success!
