Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Trailer Unveils Region Name And New Mechanics

ArceusSupremacy

@Browny are you seriously comparing the wild area to this? Have you looked at the map of Paldea? It's FULL of cities, it has much core points of interest than BOTW's Hyrule.

An open world is the biggest improvement you could hope for, not updating the core mechanics is a fair complaint, but it still should be the best Pokémon game ever.

I bet everything that anyone who doubts the open world is a huge game changer will change their minds immediately as soon as they play.

@Floki Bandai Namco is the publisher for Elden Ring, Bandai at least co-financed the project, and a large part of that 1 billion dollars+ from the 20 mil sold copies goes to Bandai, so they could invest that money into new projects, and Digimon is the biggest franchise that Bandai really owns, if I'm not mistaking anything, all those other anime games they do, they're licensed, it's not Bandais IP, but they do fully own Digimon.

Well, you're probably one of the few people in the world who thinks the first open-world Pokemon is not exciting.

@Floki "fresh ideas" that NO ONE cares about. With Pokémon, we still get mainline games. With Digimon, we only got weird spin-offs for 6 years.

You obviously don't follow the gaming market closely, have you heard about a tiny game called "Elden Ring" that sold 20 million copies?

And you obviously also don't play Pokémon. PLA was great and Scarlet and Violet look very promising.

Re: Video: Bandai Namco Releases New Commercial For Digimon Survive

@Floki yeah but they're not thaaaat good and not on Switch. I would like a new one, with a big budget and on my favourite hybrid console.Or a an improved port of Next Order, with new features, quality of life, I would take that too.

These last games like Cybersleuth were a baffling misdirection for the series, who thought making a pseudo-detective Digimon game was a good idea? And now an ultra-niche game like Survive.

Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Will Get A Brand New Trailer Tomorrow

ArceusSupremacy

@SuperCharr you have way too high expectations there. We've already seen it's not a 10/10 graphically, happy for you if you think that, but to me it's more like a 8.5/10, still the best graphics in the series.

It's not 10/10 in Pokémon already either, Fuecoco is fugly, Quaxly is blend, Sprigatito is cute, but it's a green weed cat with red eyes...

Re: Japanese Charts: An All-Switch Top Ten Is Lead By Nintendo Switch Sports

ArceusSupremacy

@Sonos the whole chip shortage thing for consoles is complete *****, they have enough chips, this is the fastest selling console gen of all time.

Is there even more demand? Yes, but it's not like it's the end of the world like Sony and Microsoft are trying to make it look like, they have enough and they are selling more than enough. This is probably business strategy to tell shareholders they have even more demand, and thus will likely sell even more in the future. It's a smart PR strategy, it's just that people over exaggerate the influence the shortage has on their business because of that.

Re: Video: Bandai Namco Shares New Gameplay Footage Of Digimon Survive

ArceusSupremacy

@EmoGamer no, I would make Digimon be better and sell more. All Digimon games are much worse than Pokémon in average.

It doesn't need to be exactly the same, it can habe it's own ideas, but it should be a lot more similar to Pokémon.

Pokémon needs concurrence, there are not a lot of big monster collecting games out there, you have Monster Hunter Stories now, which is great but still not anything near Pokémon in sales, and you have more niche stuff like Temtem and Rune Factory, where the monster collecting is more of a side thing, although I still love it.
