I feel guilty, I actually got this on PS4, but just let me shout "WING COMMANDER!!!" (ok Privateer, technically) My dream of an modern, awesome space combat game came true! The style is fantastic! The music is fantastic! Juno is fantastic, c'mon she's a space trucker! The graphics are fantastic! (eh, I HOPE on Switch). I've been whining about wanting this for ages and it ACTUALLY delivered!!

It's OK, they just needed the extra time to implement Isabelle.

@SalvorHardin Heck, I still have my Dreamcast for NFL Blitz. Those Midway games were the best way to enjoy sports AND have a laugh riot with my friends.

I know I'm old school, but I wish they would monetise these games as either a full price product, everything included, or as free-to-play. I realize they'll keep milking the cow as long as they can, but there is so MUCH consumer resentment building up over these microtransactions.

Oh sure! Don't mention REBEL GALAXY OUTLAW!! Oh it's fine, I don't want brand new IPs, I don't want space combat for my Wing Commander/Privateer -starved heart. Give me more sequel platformers! No it's fine.

I know it's not the "same", but Tiny Metal was a spiritual successor to Advance Wars. It's plenty of fun if you feel the need.

@Dualmask I remember that article, where Guile and others could skip the 2second hold and trigger moves immediately. Even old Mortal Kombat would read your joystick and respond accordingly. One part of modern hand-holding I actually PREFER.

Dude! I'm western values all the way, but let people tinker and improve on vaporware. The ENTIRE reason we got Resident Evil 2 Remake was because some intrepid programmers were making the game themselves, so Capcom saw the interest and went with it.

Crazy about the disks. CDs and DVDs decay and degrade, solid state memory has limited cycles, yet old school magnetic data seems unkillable.

In all seriousness, I am all for updates and remasters. I actually see them the way studios remaster old films when new video technology comes out. It lets newer generations experience something they may have missed.
