It's probably worth noting here, that ubisoft are probably the first developer for the wii to actually utilise the wii shop/wii points in a way that might actually make people aware that it's there.

Not even Nintendo do that.

On the grounds that I was willing to buy the stunning-but-criminally short 'Ico', I'd buy this if it's heading for full release.

Actually, hilarious sarcasm aside, I'm quite pleased about this, as it means no 'having to download DLC to artificially boost the profits', and there'll hopefully be a LOT more content to this than there would have been had it been on WiiWare.

If only there was some way of 'gift-wrapping' games..

WHY do people buy games from genres they don't like just because it has favourable reviews?

Thing is though, Metroid is a franchise which is only really known of by people who have some basic grounding of Nintendo's Big Names.

As a Recognisable Icon, Samus comes a poor third to Mario and Link.

I quite like the idea of getting into the car to go to work to the sound of the opening fanfare.

As far as I can tell from the covers, they're new games.

The downloadable games from the BBC site are solid, well put together efforts with some rather fiddly(at times) controls and some cunning(ish) puzzles, they kind of play like a point-and-click Prof Layton with stealth sections and are surprisingly playable.

If these games build on that, they could be half decent.

Why would you want to play a FPS with a controller that makes it less intuitive to play?

I can't help but think that winning the World Cosplay Title is a bit like winning a medal in the Special Olympics.

@ Klapaucius - why would you play with CC/GC controller - that's a totally unwieldy way of playing a FPS, when the nunchuck/wiimote combo is possibly the best, most untuitive way of playing a FPS on any console?

I really hope the game's graphical style apes the concept art, couple that with some decent controls and inventive gameplay and this could be a winner.

I like how the abundance of shovelware is the fault of Nintendo.

The fact is, the biggest selling consoles will attract the more opportunistic developers, there was as much, if not more, shovelware, lazy ports and and half-arsed re-hashes on the PS2 as there is on the wii..

Doesn't matter what it's called, if it's like the last two Transformers games it'll still be rubbish.

Early impressions of this is that it's delightful with potential to be even more life destroying than Animal Crossing.
