Don Bluth's Laserdisc classic Space Ace has been given the official ESRB treatment, which means that fans of full motion video arcade gaming will be able to play it on the DSi consoles in the not-too-distant future.
We've already seen the likeable Dragon's Lair on DSiWare, and a trilogy of Don Bluth's titles (including Space Ace) is inbound for Wii, so this announcement hardly comes as a massive shock.
If you've experienced Dragon's Lair already then you'll know exactly what to expect; pre-animated sequences stitched together with occasional pad and button input from the player. It was amazing back in the '80s, trust us.
Space Ace has been rated 'E' for 'Everyone' and 'H' for 'Hopelessly Linear'.

that spells eh...
I'm sorry, but what is this now? Seriously, I've never heard of it...
Uh... me clueless
It's like Dragon's Lair but in space.
Awesome stuff. These games are like interacting (in a small way, but still) with an 80s cartoon. Love it.
It would be hilarious if it were the SNES version. God that game was awful.
Dragon's lair was fun until I "watched" the whole thing.
cool, maybe I'll watch how you play it sometime.
dude what the snap? throw this on the Wii!!!! I love these games
@9 if you click that link that says theres a trilogy maybe you'll find something...
i loved Dragon's Lair so I'm most likely gonna buy this from the shop
Now that I've heard of it, it looks like one of those stupid FMV games that barely even deserve to be called game. Major pass from me.
This is based on an old Hana-Barbera cartoon.
What Mac said.
I'll be downloading this the first day it hits. I played this and Dragon's Lair to death in the arcades. Can't wait!
No thanks, but it seems like an interesting kind of game.
I'm reminded of an old English saying here.
'You can't polish a turd'.
@Mickeymac
Heavy Rain is basically a beautiful FMV game..
No one seems to be complaining about that one.
@ Capt N: Uh, no.
