When their game is released there will be videos, reviews, comments from people on this site, more than enough info for me to conduct enough research to determine whether or not I'll like the game. I don't care about being excited, like I didn't care about visiting that Smash Dojo every day waiting to see if Mario would be announced as a playable character.
I want to know if Hudson thinks their game will sell like Cue Sports or Star Soldier so when the game's released we know if Hudson is happy or not.
How many weapons have green triggers? Way too many.
Is that a Joke? No see jokes are meant to be funny. There's no point in asking silly questions that will be answered with the game's release. Does the game have blah blah blah? Who cares? Knowing now makes no difference. You'll find out when the game is released and shouldn't ask such useless questions in an interview. So your first three "best" questions are a complete waste of time. Your actual questions are great because they won't be answered with the game's release.
Look at past WWW interviews. They ask about the developers, and ideas, and not so much stuff about silly game info like how many characters have red hair. That's because Dazza and Corbie and whoever else does interviews aren't stupid, and they know not to waste their time on the stupid stuff.
Past interview questions with Hudson. Click Here For Said Interview What were some of the challenges you faced in updating a classic title like the Turbografx-16 version of Alien Crush? Was there a concern that the straight-up classic pinball action of the original title might not be enough to satisfy gamers in today's gaming world? Hudson has enjoyed quite a bit of success on the WiiWare service so far. What do you think one of the biggest factors in that success has been?
Those are great questions. Most of the questions being asked by people on this site are absolutely terrible. Bahamut has a good question because it's about the developers, not about how many weapons have green triggers.
please post all your questions here. Ask how well they're expecting the game to sell. Especially compared to some of their other releases.
Not sure why anyone cares about the little things like the controls and online stuff. The sales of this game could make or break an entire genre on WiiWare. That's much more important than knowing if I can customize my weapons 500 different ways.
Hell, we don't even know if it's coming to the U.S.!.
Yes we do. Developers don't make American-centric games and then only release them in the place that doesn't like them. Japan isn't big on FPS games, this wasn't made for them. Japan might not even get this game.
Europe and America like shooting things in first-person a lot more, so those two regions will get the game.
All I ask is that it please support the Classic Controller
That is a terrible idea and Hudson will never be stupid enough to take part.
Why thank you. As for the game, if Hudson can pull it off that'd be great. But if the online experience (which the game is centered around) is similar to Bomberman, you can count me out.
Okay pick a percentage which is high enough to support my point. A majority of everyone's gaming collection consists of casual games. Dismissing this game after seeing the word "casual" is almost as dumb as.... I got nothin'.
It's like someone thinking they hate cars but they happily drive one every day. And then when they go pick out a new one, and it says "New Car!", they're like "Oh God, a car?! Who the hell wants one of those?"
No question I think folk like AlexSays that downplay the storage issue don't buy a lot of downloadable content.
No, folk like AlexSays aren't ignorant enough to think they need everything on their Wii's memory.
Space Invaders takes up what, 800 blocks? And the Wii comes with 2400? So even if you take away 200 for game saves which is a stretch you still have 1400 blocks.
1400 blocks isn't enough for a few channels and a couple games? Please. ...I've never seen a console ridiculed for something so stupid.
It's amazing how I can have thirty-one games and several channels yet not experience the same "problem" some of you are. I think some of you just like to whine.
Try telling AlexSays that, then maybe he'll think a bit more about the storage "problem".
No, that only enhances my belief Nintendo fans are the worst among any console.
You don't need an SD card. There's a reason Nintendo lets you re-download games off the Wii Shop Channel. So he did something completely unnecessary and then tries to blame his actions on Nintendo?
And then he threw in game saves? Oh wow, all 1 block? So even if you copied 100 game saves you're up to 100 whopping blocks, which takes 20 seconds or so?
Game saves had nothing to do with that "hour" and the rest of the time was completely unnecessary. It's like pushing your car to work when you could just drive it, and then calling up Ford to complain. So yes that makes AlexSays think more about the storage "problem" and how it doesn't exist.
Then you mean almost all games are bad or shallow. Casual games make up 99% of all games.
So if you mean to say "most games suck" then I'll let you have that. I'd take every casual game ever made WAY before I took every hardcore game ever made.
Ness is absolutely right. For this game casual means good. Limiting themselves to the minority of gamers would be a TERRIBLE decision.
If this game was made exclusively for the "hardcore", it would not sell and they'd never make another WiiWare game ever again. Instead they're offering the game to everyone, like World of Goo and almost every other game on WiiWare.
Matter of fact, 98% of games on WiiWare are casual games. The only one that people could make a case for is Mega Man. And even that case is iffy. So if you don't like casual games, you don't like ANYTHING on WiiWare, which means you should probably find another site to spend your time.
I must point out that having a hard drive available for those who want it would be easier
So it'd be convenient? lol Which means it's not necessary, but it'd be nice to have for the lazy people? And since it's not necessary it can't be a problem, right?
Wiiloveit has figured this whole thing out guys. Now why don't the rest of you follow suit...
Congratulations, that is one of the most ridiculous comments i've ever read on WiiWare-World.
So ridiculous, you couldn't come up with an intelligent response. It's okay, I've seen your posts and know what to expect from you.
Alex, it's true people probably won't play that many games at once, but it's a lot easier to browse VC content and WiiWare games when they're on the system rather than having to delete and copy stuff back-and-forth.
Not everyone cares about browsing through their stuff, because they already know what they have. And the people that do feel the need to browse are experiencing an inconvenience.
A problem would be once you downloaded a game, you HAVE to keep the game on your system. Instead, you can download and play every game available multiple times again and again.
Do you know the Channels?
Yes I'm quite familiar with the ins and outs of the whole "Wii" thing. Thank you though.
I keep four games on my Wii. Two WiiWare games and two Virtual Console games.
No self-respecting gamer plays an hour of Zelda, and then an hour of Mario, and then an hour of Metroid, without ever finishing a game. So there's no need to have five hundred games on your Wii.
I've downloaded forty or so games and have about 1200 blocks left. So either I'm a magician or there's a problem... with the people on the internet.
Even IF you like to play 15 games all at once (nobody does but someone will say they do) Nintendo offered a great method of storage. 30 seconds and you can download the game all over again. Or 15 seconds if you take it from an SD card. Nobody's time is that precious..
Not all inconveniences (if it can even be called that) are problems and the world will be a much better place when Nintendo fan girls everywhere realize this.
Recently I've tried to make sense of all this. I came to the conclusion Nintendo is aware of how many new people received a Wii over Christmas. So after giving them a chance to get online, Nintendo's seeing if people will go back and download old games.
I'm guessing when all the Christmas-happy Wii owners stop downloading games, they'll start popping out more. Just a theory but I'd be willing to bet someone's life (not mine of course) that this has something to do with it.
You don't plan block size. Developers don't sit at a round-table and think "Hmm, I'm thinking 157 blocks sounds good, let's design the game around that!" Besides, knowing block size is irrelevant since every Wii comes with more than enough memory.

How big is the block size? and how many wii points will it be?
Let me apologize in advance...
These are absolutely terrible questions. The game isn't finished, how would anyone know the block size? And the game isn't finished, why would the developers and Nintendo discuss the pricing yet?
No it's not that. I intend on buying the game and have no interest playing it on my PC.
But some of the people here that have posted have previously said developers shouldn't take free PC games and make us pay for them on WiiWare. I'm just making sure I have all this straight, so I know who the credible and non-credible ones are.
I don't see how the fact that it sells well is an argument against split-screen's popularity on Wii.
Because that's the ONLY high-selling split screen game on the Wii. That's how. lol And most of that is because people love Mario Kart and even more people love Nintendo.
Comparatively, not many people know or love The Conduit, and even less know or love High Voltage. lol Split screen wouldn't pay off for them. They have no High Voltage accessory that people will buy for the game, and they don't have nearly as many people buying their game.
No you missed my point. Mario Kart has split screen because it's a racing game. Split screen isn't uncommon among racing games. They knew they could make a killing off split screen (third parties can't) with the Wii Wheel. /logic
Of course, but they just sell controllers, not accessories. And after reading my original post...
spend on controllers, plastic shells, and other accessory crap.
....You'll see I categorize controllers AS accessories.
Can you provide me with games made by Microsoft or Sony that are equivalent to Wii Play, Wii Sports, Wii Fit, and Mario Kart? As in they sell extra crap? Because that's been my whole point all along, they sell certain games so people will buy certain accessories. We'll see that again with Wii Sports 2.
No, the extra accessories sold I'm sure is a happy (very happy) coincidence for Nintendo. Nintendo seems very intent on having people play together.
With what games exactly? Wii Sports and Wii Play? Made so people will buy accessories. Mario Kart? Split screen isn't uncommon among racers, no real surprise.
They like people playing together because the more people want to play together, the more they're willing to spend on controllers, plastic shells, and other accessory crap. You'd have to be crazy to think it's a "coincidence", and Nintendo just really likes families being together. lol
I really don't think the average Wii user cares about 16-player online as much as split-screen. ....The average Wii user doesn't care about this game. In this case, we're talking about one or the other. If you're wanting to know whether more people prefer ONLY playing multiplayer when friends are over OR playing other people anytime via online, it's a clear choice.
"What people prefer" and "what sells games" would seemingly be the same. You're applying the right logic to a wrong subject. People would prefer to have online AND multiplayer. If High Voltage took the time to perfect both, the cost would outweigh the reward.
Everything revolves around money and if High Voltage thought split screen would bring a bigger profit, they'd pull the trigger.
As it stands, Brawl, Kart, and other big multi-player games that have online play also have split-screen. Mario Kart is split screen because Nintendo wants people buying more accessories. People buying Wii remotes, nunchuks, classic controllers, and Wii Wheels benefits Nintendo. Third parties don't make any profit off of people buying Nintendo accessories. So you can see how split screen benefits one and not the other.
And Brawl isn't really split screen. Unless you mean literally people are "splitting" screen space. If that's the case then Super Mario Galaxy is split screen because a second person can have a cursor on-screen.
I have sadly accepted that online has superseded split-screen on the other consoles, but I've seen no proof of it on Wii so far. How many split screen games are there compared to online games? That should be more than enough proof. lol
Please don't crush my split-screen dreams. I think High Voltage already did that. lol
It's not what about people prefer. The thing people always screw up is they think the industry runs on fun. lol
Split screen doesn't sell games any more. At least not enough to cover the extra time and money. It used to be "Hey wanna play with people? Here's split screen!" Now it's "Hey we have 16 player online with voice chat!"
Online multiplayer sells games. Split screen does not. For this being High Voltage's first huge game, spending extra time and money is not an option.
Split screen was NEVER going to be in this game. I said that from the get-go.
@ KnucklesSonic8 -- How'd they NOT mention you? They should have a picture of you framed and on their wall after all your support. lol
@ Shadx -- I'm almost certain the page on this site for Mega Man 9 has SEVERAL opinions on the game, one of those being from the famous Corbie.
Oh, and the reason David "DEMON212" Barber was in the manual was because he was the first person to properly play through PLATTCHEN before reviewing it
Oh so it's like a prize for being able to play that long?

Making a new forum would be silly.
VC-Forums has a WiiWare section and it doesn't receive nearly enough traffic to warrant an entirely separate forum.
I'm guessing they realized a new forum would be a huge waste of time, and rightfully abandoned the idea.

I have sadly accepted that online has superseded split-screen on the other consoles, but I've seen no proof of it on Wii so far.
How many split screen games are there compared to online games?
That should be more than enough proof. lol
Please don't crush my split-screen dreams.
I think High Voltage already did that. lol
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Niki - Rock 'n' Ball
It's not what about people prefer.
The thing people always screw up is they think the industry runs on fun. lol
Split screen doesn't sell games any more. At least not enough to cover the extra time and money.
It used to be "Hey wanna play with people? Here's split screen!"
Now it's "Hey we have 16 player online with voice chat!"
Online multiplayer sells games. Split screen does not.
For this being High Voltage's first huge game, spending extra time and money is not an option.
Split screen was NEVER going to be in this game. I said that from the get-go.
Re: Tetris Party Tournament No. 2 Details
So I have to find a buddy? A Tetris-playing buddy?
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Niki - Rock 'n' Ball
No whoever made that decision thought it'd be better to focus on the parts of the game non-dead. lol
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Niki - Rock 'n' Ball
I'm also hoping against all hope that I've been misinformed of The Conduit's lack of split-screen
You aren't misinformed.
Split-screen is dead and High Voltage has decided not to waste time with it.
Great decision by High Voltage.
Re: All New Screenshots From Icarian: Kindred Spirits
This isn't up for debate.
It's an evil rabbit and those who say otherwise are wrong.
End of discussion.
Re: Texas Hold'em Tournament
Just look at this trailer for example. Just LOOK AT IT!
That's not bad.
I had that game for my SNES, back in the day.
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Niki - Rock 'n' Ball
@ KnucklesSonic8 -- How'd they NOT mention you?
They should have a picture of you framed and on their wall after all your support. lol
@ Shadx -- I'm almost certain the page on this site for Mega Man 9 has SEVERAL opinions on the game, one of those being from the famous Corbie.
Oh, and the reason David "DEMON212" Barber was in the manual was because he was the first person to properly play through PLATTCHEN before reviewing it
Oh so it's like a prize for being able to play that long?
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Niki - Rock 'n' Ball
So you mean to tell me Drake didn't get his name mentioned after his good review? lol
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Niki - Rock 'n' Ball
@ longtimegamer -- Why?
