Re: Nintendo are 'very impressed' with Monster Hunter 3's Graphics

AlexSays

Waggle isn't accurate enough to replace a button and with your way of counting, the PS3 controller has four more buttons.

Not only does it have more, but the buttons are all in very close proximity to each other.

Pick any two PS3 buttons and then pick the d-pad and 2 button and you should come to a sudden realization.

No 360 fans, I'm not leaving you out of all the fun, I just don't have a 360 controller to count buttons on.

Re: Nintendo are 'very impressed' with Monster Hunter 3's Graphics

AlexSays

So other people point the issue out, and they're complaining... But Capcom and Nintendo point out the issue and it's okay?

No. A few people all over, Wii lovers and haters alike, have noticed there is a lack of buttons on the Wii remote.

This isn't anything new. Just ordinary people were castoff as "haters" for pointing out the problem before Nintendo themselves.

There's not a lack of buttons

The company that made the thing disagrees.

Re: Nintendo are 'very impressed' with Monster Hunter 3's Graphics

AlexSays

Hey guy with the weird user name and the obnoxious comment right above Machu...

He's right, the Wii remote doesn't have enough buttons. And the ones the remote has are so spread out, it's impossible to reach each one in a timely manner, like with a standard controller.

Not sure why you have such a strong emotional attachment to the Wii remote, but a lack of buttons has been a complaint for a long time.

Oh and your "truth" is nuts. Nintendo is focused on the billions of people without gaming consoles, not the few million that already have a 360 or PS3. That's common sense forya.

Re: Epic Games: Give Us HD Wii and We'll Talk

AlexSays

Still, it would be nice for The Conduit to have some worthy FPS competition, don't you think?

Competition at the bottom? Sure.

Do you want them to make games for the Wii?

Uh, no?
I'd rather them make good games.

Re: No US Plans For Black Wii

AlexSays

Josh hit the club on the seal.

Of course it's not coming here yet. Sales are fine here.

Once the Wii becomes unhealthy in America like it did in Japan, we'll also see colors.

Re: Review: Bit Boy!! (WiiWare)

AlexSays

Now that I have a chance to read everything, a few people here are a bit off their rocker. I've been more critical of these developers than anyone else on this site, maybe even the internet, but a few of you are out of touch with reality.

Wiiloveit doesn't have strong emotional attachment to Bplus just because they have his name in the credits. There's no reason to assume his relationship with the developers affects his view of the game, especially when his comments are more about factual information left out of the review rather than opinionated disagreements.

oh and the bplus forum is creepy!

Much creepier things have been said in NintendoLife's own forum.

Your opinion is WRONG my friend.

That'd be great and all if that were possible. You throwing the bias sticker around and personally attacking someone's site doesn't really help your credibility either, chief.

Re: Cave Story Nearing The Finish Line

AlexSays

Consistent basis? On the contrary.

Yeah, no.
They've already given us three great games this year, and later they're releasing the prequel to Dead Space and a new Madden that has been completely rebuilt for the console.

It's fine if you don't like sports games but that doesn't mean EA doesn't put any effort into them.
Then factor in the several other franchises and they're one of the Wii's biggest contributors.

And the whole "Oh we have to support this little guy" thing is really turning me away from this game. "He", whoever that is, doesn't "deserve" anything.
This random person everyone is in love with will make their money. Your five bucks divided among the developers and Nintendo and your continuous displays of affection aren't going to make any huge difference.

Re: Cave Story Nearing The Finish Line

AlexSays

See you change that up a little and you have a company that gives the Wii great games on a consistent basis and a guy that made a free game and now wants money for it.

I'm buying the game just because I hate playing on my computer - that's for owning noobs and such - but I have no desire to give this whoever money just for emotional support.

Re: Cave Story Nearing The Finish Line

AlexSays

.....really? NO! the freeware version for PC's was finished LONG ago, there are still working on the Wiiware version

Oh so the free version is done, but the one they're charging money for isn't?
Gotchya.

Re: Wii Treatment for Parkinson's Trialled

AlexSays

One day,Sony and Microsoft will go bankrupt and Nintendo will dominate the video gaming industry. It will be a SUPER-JOYFUL DAY!

The day Nintendo has no competition and can be as lazy as they want would be a "super-joyful" day?
Right.

Doesn't really matter because of the three, Nintendo would be the first to go bankrupt, but this is why I dislike so many Nintendo fans. I rarely see Microsoft or Sony supporters hoping the other companies all fail.

Re: Designer Says Metroid: Other M Not As Violent As It Seems

AlexSays

I loved seeing the trailer for the first time.

At first I saw the water and I thought Zelda, then I saw the clouds and thought Kid Icarus, then I saw the space and asteroids and thought Star Fox.

Then I recognized it was Metroid and I was like "Woah!" and almost dropped my yogurt.

It was a very exciting time.

Re: Hackers Expand Wii Storage, Door Now Open To Filthy Pirates

AlexSays

From your comments guys I think you are all innocent angels.

Actually...

Anyway the poor thing isn't a good excuse. "Yeah I really didn't want to steal but I'm poor"
Oh great. So you can't afford something but you decided you should have it anyway? Gaming isn't food, it's a luxury.
Does that work with other markets as well? Can I say "Nuts, I can't afford that Porsche, hey I know, I'll just steal it!"

Re: Monster Hunter 3 (Tri) Gets Japanese Release Date

AlexSays

They won't make us westerners pay a subscription. The only reason Japan gets not-so-special treatment is because they'll buy the game no matter what.

Capcom doesn't need to sell Monster Hunter in Japan as much as they do in America.

Also I don't think it will take that long for us to see Monster Hunter 3.
Some of the hype from the Japanese release will carry over and they'll want to capitalize on that.

I'm expecting a 09 holiday release date.
I'm in the mood for a turkey sandwich, so I'll go Novemberish.

Re: Modern Warfare 2 Wii-bound?

AlexSays

Dual analogue was sooo last century!

And yet the vast majority prefers dual analog over Wii controls.

Yeah I bet that all those "I better get the xbox/ps3 versions" are either viral marketers or trolls.

Yes because upon making our accounts we all agreed upon a Terms of Service that prohibited the mentioning of the other consoles being superior in any way, shape, or form.

Just because this site has Nintendo in the title doesn't mean we all have to blindly love the Wii, and hate the other consoles.

Re: Modern Warfare 2 Wii-bound?

AlexSays

Oh this won't be good. I'll stick with my PS3 for this one.

I wonder who Activision will have port the game to the Wii, since Infinity Ward won't be touching the Wii version.

Re: Monster Hunter G Gives Wii a Sales Boost In Japan

AlexSays

Yeah that's where I was going with that.

Nobody worry about having some huge debate about this, because the staff isn't going to eliminate a source for the preference of a certain member.

Edit: Since we're talking though about the direction this site is going in and what we don't like about it...
What's up with the advertisements? One click and I see a dating ad and the next I see one for Biggest Loser?

Are you implying us NintendoLife users are all overweight AND need help getting laid? lol

Re: Monster Hunter G Gives Wii a Sales Boost In Japan

AlexSays

Also, if anyone is looking for sales numbers and other statistical information, avoid Kotaku like the plague and instead visit http://www.vgchartz.com/

Did someone really just recommend VGChartz?
What's next, Wikipedia?

Damo, keep doin' your thing.
We don't need members of the site deciding for the staff what's reliable and what's not.
