This game is such an underrated gem on the SNES and it probably has one of the best stories, music, and gameplay to have ever existed. I'm glad it is still talked about today
In my opinion, as unfornate and complicated when it comes to the topic of fan games, I think there are a lot of things gamers don't know about the game industry and what certain decisions need to be made; which is why I think gamers should start considering more about the business point of view
I hope this is successful because I would love to see a new competitor in the console market. But at the same time, I'm also skeptical. A lot of people don't know how difficult it is to create a dedicated video game console from scratch, not only does it take years but it also takes millions of dollars into R&D, marketing, developing games, and making deals with 3rd parties. So whatever Atari is doing I hope they get everything planned correctly
I really dislike how people are judging a game that so far, we haven't seen ANY actual gameplay footage yet. I get with Colour Splash why people were so concerned but with this, people are going way too overboard in my opinion. At least wait until E3 to see the actual gameplay.
I think people are taking these investor meetings way too seriously and with high expectations. While I'm definitely looking forward at what they're going to talk about, I think people need to understand that these meetings are made specifically for business people and not for gamers; which is why I'm keeping my expectations low
Oh boy, here comes a big messy argumentative debate in the comments about whether or not power is important. Seriously though, let's just wait and see until the Switch presentation to see what the system is capable of
I was debating on whether I should get a New 3DS to play Pokémon or buy the Switch to get Zelda but after this news, I'm definitely leaning towards buying a Switch
I think October 21 makes sense to me. Not only it's the 5th anniversary of the Nintendo direct but with the investors meeting coming up, Nintendo needs to give them some good news
@pennylessz the point I'm trying to make is that while you can criticize the game/concept from what you've seen or heard from gameplay footage or from those who have played the game, if you don't have any personal experience of playing the entire game completely, then you can't really criticize the entire game since you don't know if you actually might like the game or at least a part that you enjoy
I just want to say that if you don't like how the game is going to be more like Sticker Star in terms of gameplay, story, etc then that's fine since it's your opinion. But if you're not going to buy the game, then technically, you don't have the ''right'' to criticize the game. Since there's always a possibility that you may come back to it and realize that the game is better than what you think it is. Sure, you can criticize from what you've seen from the footage of the game and compare it to the first 2 games; but if you don't have any personal gameplay experience, then you can't really criticize it yet. So don't criticize the gameplay, story, or dialogue if you haven't played the game yet.
I literally geeked out when I saw Mario and Pac Man live on TV. It was one of the best things that happened in this Olympics. I am now hyped for Tokyo 2020
No offense but if you actually look at Nvidia's investors briefing, the CEO clearly said that the future of tegra will be primarily focused on cars and AI and have no plans for gaming

Not sure if this would help but here's an explanation about fan games coming from an actual game developer. http://askagamedev.tumblr.com/post/155487254913/why-do-companies-like-nintendo-or-square-enix

Re: Nintendo Infographic Outlines Switch and 3DS Games for 2017
Pretty strong and solid first year lineup for the Switch. 1 major gamer per month is something that I think Nintendo should keep doing
