@PharoneTheGnome Agreed. In the 70s it was global COOLING. In the 80s, ozone layer. In the 90s, acid rain. In EACH decade of hysteria, we were fiven 15 years to live.... and guess what? People dont realize that socialists are a REAL threat to the free countries and economies of the world because they fill the public with scare tactics to make people feel like the government is their only way to force "change for good". Not saying that pollution and things like thay arent real. They are and addressing them make living on our planet more pleasent. But if these fear mongers pushing this narrative were REALLY interested in fixing man made carbon emissions that supposedly are going to kill us off in 15 years, their sights would be set squarely and exclusively on China and India. Not the United States who have THE cleanest air in the globe and actually lead all nations in air quality improvement as perpetuated by changes driven by the free market. But no, they are setting their sights on the richest country full of the most gullible citizens to vote them into power and fund their machinations. This should tell you something of their agenda for those who care to seek the truth.
@johnvboy You are exactly right. The models that the UN's IPCC are using predict that we should be experiencing an increase of 4 degrees F higher than what is reflected in reality. In fact, there are 32 models used across the globe and only ONE of them is predicting climate as it actually exists today. And that is the Russian model... that no one is paying any attention to.
The way the models are created is also void of credibility. They are heavily "normalized". Meaning, where there is a gap in crucial data... the analysts fill the gaps with data they anticipate is correct. NOT actual data. So herein lies the folly of the "models" that the MSM are using to push their agenda. These facts come from the leading climatologist (PHD) and director of the Kato institute and Chicago institute of Science. Anyone ia free to look these facts up.
@Galenmereth You made an excellent point. One I wanted to make as well but I think I was pushing my luck with the length of my rant . How do we know that this man made climate change idea is a hoax designed by the Left to gain public support to vote them into a globalist government? Because IF it were true that our emissions were destroying our environment at the level we are being "scared" onto thinking (see the absolute hysteria of Greta Thurnburg) the solution is a very, very simple, inexpensive and MOST green solution of them all.... PLANT MORE TREES! Trees are CO2 scrubbers!
Why is this proof that this narrative is a hoax? Because the solution requires absolutely no governmental oversight. It requires no governmental management at all. It requires no investment of billions (trillions) of dollars into "green" companies peddling their incredibly expensive and inefficient technologies (in terms of dollars and expense to the environment to produce them) who are in the back pocket of globalist. If this were a real issue, we would be talking about planting more trees, not relying on governments and their interests in solving the problem at the cost of billions of dollars and our own personal liberties.
And BTW, studies and experiments have shown and proven that an infusion of CO2 in marine animals habitats actually PROMOTES growth. For the same reasons why plants need it. GenZ needs to learn to follow the TRUE scientific method and question everything until no reasonable questions remain. That is the difference between science and propaganda.
@Galenmereth you are exactly right. Climate change is real. Just as global warming and cooling have been part of the Earth's history for eons and epocs. It is also a cycle that takes hundreds to tens of thousands of years to change. The question that is in debate is how much humans have on it. If one cares to actually research the science fact, actual studies and go back to grade school chemistry to learn, vs. Consume what MSM and globalist government want to force-feed us, you will discover that there is a lot of science that countermands the mainstream ideal that humans are affecting climate change.
Just a couple of tidbits of science fact for those who care to know. CO2 is a greenhouse gas being blamed for glomal warming. It makes up .04% of the Earth's atmosphere. Humans contribute .01% Of CO2... .01% of the atmosphere (400 parts per million) cannot control the thermostat of the entire globe while water vapor (another greenhouse gas) makes up 60% of the atmosphere.
The Earth's temperature has risen and fallen in general in 2 periods of recent history. 1920 to 1940 and 1990 to present. The change in temp has been .8 degrees F. 1920 rise could not have been attributed to man contributed CO2.
Geological core studies have shown that CO2 levels were previously in the THOUSANDS of parts per million when The Earth was lush, green and full of life. The net change in CO2 between 1950s and now has been 50... 350 to 400 ppm. If CO2 was the catalyst we are being told. The dinosaurs and flora would have lived in a fireball...
CO2... is plant food. It is needed by plants to make whay we need to breathe. We are literally villifying a gas that is essential to our survival. Make no mistake... Climate change is real. But humans have had very little impact on it. It has been happening for millions upon millions of years just fine without us. If we want to fight pollution (particulates, garbage, things that make life worse for us to live here) I'm on board. But pollution is NOT the same as CO2 causing global warming. Totally different concept, cause and effects. Let's not all readily co sume what those with political agendas want to feed us.
@NEStalgia
Totally! If the 80s was the "Me" decade, then this decade is closing out as the "ME! So F-U" decade. I have never seen such selfishness, entitlement, myopathy, lack of restraint or tolerance (mostly from those who supposedly preach tolerance) and general lack of gratitude in my life.
And just think... most of these people are close to, if not OF the age to vote for the leader of their country. A very sobering and scary thought.... but not at all surprising.
They've been threatening this for years. "Reviving" Monster Hunter and Resident Evil isnt exactly a resuscitation. They were never dead or "sunset" as they say in the biz. They are active IPs.
Capcom, stop teasing and put up or shut up. If you want to revive classics, start with Final Fight, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Aliens vs. Predator, Ghouls & Ghosts, Strider, Bionic Commando. Some of these have been recently revived, sure. But put your classic designers behind them. Do them justice (the remakes have been far from) and do them the right way.
I played this quite a bit on the PC back in the day. I really love this game now as much as back then. I don't know if you can really say that the AI "cheats". Considering the incredible number of turns that are played in the course of a session, having a few instances where it "seems" like the game magically got the gems it needs is likely more attributed to coincidence and mathematical probability than anything programmed. I'm sure the probabilities vary depending on the foe, to present more or less challenge, but purposely manufacturing of a draw to produce gems needed is unlikely.
The one thing I really don't like is that as you level up and grind, opponents that have been on the map (missions) at one level, raise their levels as you do - just because you have raised in level. This defeats the purpose of grinding and doing every side quest. People who like to grind do so to be a monster in boss battles and key encounters. This artificial leveling of foes completely defeats that purpose. I could be wrong, but I don't recall this in the original PC release.
But I still like it a bunch and have already sunk at least 30 hours into the game!
Their loss. If they choose to ignore the Switch footprint in the market, it's their money to lose. Personally, I buy all my games on the Switch if I have the choice. I'd buy the NHL series in a heartbeat. Same with Star Wars.
@Dirty0814 Agreed. Besides, by the time they launch, this will likely be over and we'll have a new trade deal.
The thing that really makes me upset is these manufacturers trying to generate sympathy among their (mostly) young, passionate and highly impressionable user base. These are luxury goods. They are not commodities. And they should be ashamed of themselves trying to motivate their user base to rebel and be vocal against the governments that are just trying to do the right thing and get China to play fair. They absolutely know that what the US is doing is really the right thing. But it's going to hit their pocket books. So they turn to their younger consumers to try and generate opposition to their government. It is the same tactic the Democrat party is using on the rest of America. Playing the moral high ground for causes that are purely self serving and NOT in the best interest of the people. We need more people like you to speak out and help educate people on truth vs. Half-truths and flat out lies.
@SNES64DD LOL! Maybe for their own goods. But that is only because China is a communist state and the Communist party owns the rights to everything made there.
However, when it comes to honoring International IP, they are the worst globally. You are aware that China is the world's leading manufacturer of conterfeit goods, right?
America isn't doing any bullying. The only thing we're doing is standing up to the bully and telling them, "If we are going to trade with each other, you import as much as you export. Same with us. But if you sell more than you buy from us, we will impose higher taxes on the things you sell us to make you play fair." It really is as simple as this. And, its simply fair trading.
I will say one thing... You do your Democrat party leadership proud. If I were you, I would learn a little more about international trade, economics and politics before nroadcasting opinions based on incorrect or wrong information - or worse, personal "feelings".
@Dirty0814 Exactly. It is a short term inconvenience and pain. But sticking to our guns forces the manufacturer to either look at other means to produce in countries who believe in fair trade or cut operating expenses to continue to be competitive or, most likely, both. Manufacturers will be forced to do this or China will be forced to relent and make trade fair. It is inevitable. Then things will normalize again. One thing that is not debatable, China needs foreign trade more than the United States needs them. Same with Mexico. For the first time in history, the US is totally independent on energy (thank you Trump) and our exports allow us to support counter tarrifs from China on things like soybeans so that we can compensate our farmers for losses in revenue. Long enough to hold us out til China caves.
This must be done. Not just for America but to also set the precedent for other nations to do the same for themselves. We all have to be calm and patient and be resolute. Even if our gaming dollar is temporarily hit. Best thing is to not buy luxury items when prices increase and force manufacturers to put pressure on China to relent by stopping, slowing or moving their production elsewhere. Getting mad at Trump is like the patient getting angry at the doctor for the pain they are experiencing instead of the drunk driver that put them in the hospital.
@Jokerwolf Your response doesn't really tell me that you do. It tells me that you are oversimplifying the issue and are looking at it emotionally vs. Rationally. It also tells me that you actually should be supporting Trump rather than bashing him.
If you don't like rich people getting rich off of slave labor than you shouldnt be supporting goods made in China and you shouldnt be supporting imbalanced trade with China because it just empowers companies like Apple, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo to continue offshoring manufacturing the stuff you consume to countries like China that utilize slave labor instead of keeping production domestically, creating jobs and increasing GDP.
And if you don't care at all and you're good with it, like your response suggests then your opinions on Trump really are inconsequential and void of merit. I just hope you learn more before you are old enough to vote.
@Jokerwolf Actually, in the end, it will HELP the consumer. It will also greatly help countries trading with China (the US in this case because Trump has the nads to stand up to China) to get more of their goods into China. Which means more GDP for those countries, more growth, more jobs, more wealth among the working class. And most importantly, more pride in saying, "Made in {place home country here}".
I don't know how old you are. There are young people who are targeted by Social Justice propaganda that are ripe for the feeding of half truths and ajendas that seem to "feel like the right thing". There are also older people who like to hold the moral high ground and don't care to learn all sides of an issue. They are right because it "feels right". And because the TV, news and Hollywood say I'm right. But the truth lies in understanding the details. Life is rarely black and white. So you have to dig and learn.
I would bet that you really don't know too much about trade and economics. Especially about the last 30 - 40 years of America's Presidents who parlayed to China in their manufacturing strength (born on the backs of slave labor and total lack of intellectual property law) because they were afraid of exactly this... how their uneducated, entitled constituents, would react when they couldn't get their new gadgets when they want it. Learn a bit more about this topic and you will find that Trump actually knows what he's doing and really is the first POTUS in at least 30 years to actually put his citizens first and actually cares about the economy. Don't hate. Educate.
That's nice that they are "banding together". Of course they are. They are businesses that need to make money and tarrifs are a hazard to them.
But some things are bigger than video games or hobbies. And I don't really appreciate large companies politicizing this issue to young and impressionable consumers of an entertainment media. This is one of the many, many things wrong with the world today.
As an American, I stand by my President for standing up to China and demanding fair and balanced trade practices. All nations should be doing the same thing. He is the only POTUS in decades that has the cajones to resist the backlash from the Left and do what is actually right for his country. A little bit of short term pain in higher prices for the things we want (and maybe even need) will result in much better prices and, most importantly, economies of trading partners in the future. Don't be fooled by the garbage the global media (and especially American) is serving. This is a good thing and needs to be done.
If I could get a refund for my $3, I would have. My biggest problems were having to buy a 64GB card just for this game. My son's witch didn't need one til now. And a cheap 32GB card, even totally empty wasn't big enough. Add to it a 3GB save file (more games from system memory had to be removed).... oh yeah... and you cant play it offline. I'll have to see if turning the ads off changes this last bit but I doubt it. This game is a hot mess. No wonder they had to shill it for $2.99. $2.99 I'd love to have back. I'd get more pleasure from a 44oz Coke and a pack of Ding Dongs at the corner 7-11
Maybe you guys will serve as the new (old) standard for twin stick shooters. I don't know when the trend started to require pointing with thumbstick and also and pressing a button to shoot but it is horrible. The ergonomics gods thank you for your logic!
Looks awesome! Please, please, please have an option where you can just point and shoot. No pointing and pressing a shoot button. One thumb stick to move and the other to point and shoot.
If this is truly inspired by Smash TV, for the love of Pete, just point to shoot
If ever there was a valid excuse for a game delay, this is one. Studios should not be shy about admitting that they have employees that they need to take care of. So long as it's not a continual excuse. Which would indicate general mismanagement of projects.
A lot of people don't realize that managing creative talent is a very tricky issue. Filling roles for artists (whether illustrators, designers, modelers, writers) is not like filling a role for a burger flipper, call center agent or accountant. The level of talent, and specific style of artists that match a studio's requirement are very, very difficult to find and place. So you cannot drive these people off by draconian management styles. They truly have to be treated with kid gloves. Every other studio knows of them and would love to hire them away. So they have to be treated specially so they don't leave. Doesn't sound fair to the guy in the mail room but it is what it is.
That's what happens when you work in a vacuum with a beloved IP and think you can do better than the original creative team. Letterman and team got it right by working closely with the creative team of the IP to portray a story that remains faithful to the spirit of the original property.
This re-design will MOST DEFINITELY result in much higher revenues for the studio - IF done right. Films like Wreck it Ralph were a smash success in part because of the faithful representation of not only his supporting characters and cameos but the amount of care they put into the faithful representation of the genre of that period of gaming as well. Because they needed to nail a feeling we all have invested on these properties and periods of time when we revisit them. NOT a fresh (different) take on them.
As it was, the Sonic film was DOA. The character design obviously caused a lot of backlash from fans, which would motivate movie goers / fans to just wait for home video, if at all. Which is a death knell for the entire project. Now, they may be able to recoup costs depending on the expense of the redesign. A $10m investment may result in a difference in $m by factors of 10 globally. IF done right. They should strive to get stamp of approval from Naka san and team on redesigns before going into production.
Movie makers dealing with gaming characters (or any property with a devoted following) need to realize that they are not creating something new. That's not what their charge is. They do not have a blank canvas. They are only extending the story of characters who have a devoted following that expect the characters to act and look a certain way. I worked at Sega back on 1991 and I remember the "Sonic Bible". It was a tome the thickness of a small phonebook. Contained within were the rules, conditions, art styles, poses, environments, etc. That needed to be followed when creating content involving Sonic. They should probably try to dig that book up of Sega cares about the integrity of this IP anymore. But you know... they might not!
I know I've been critical of the state of games being released in the last 10 - 15 years. Younger people are sick of hearing it for sure but Im going to say again... WHY are we accepting games that don't look as good as games released 30 years ago? I'm not talking about the excellent games put out by Way Forward that actually advanced the genre interms of graphics, presentation and mechamics. Or some of the games (Like Madelyn) that at LEAST bring the graphic fideltiy back to the same level... or dozens more like them.
But I'm talking about the other 80% of what is shoveled out. Why do we buy this? Why are we setting the bar this low against a standard that should have been shattered by now? We should be 30 years more innovative!
To me, the concept of this game can be compared to Capcom's Dungeons & Dragons series from the early 90s. But this... doesn't hold a candle. Not even a flickering trail of smoke.
I'm seriously starting to feel that this is a byproduct, a symptom or a sign of what is happening socially and politically throughout the globe today. A generation who has been handed everything they could possibly want in life and appreciate none of it. Where there is no feeling that we need to get better or DO better. Or at least maintain what was good and what was built by their predescessors. For some reason, this gen of developers THINK they can do better but totally stuff it up in the process. Again, I'm not talking about big dev houses that are actually moving the medium forward. Who know the benefit of quality driving profitability and growth for their shareholders and the health of the medium. Im talking the glut of these "Indies". I seriously feel like these devs are like a preschooler bringing their finger painting home, smiling ear to ear with pride. And we give them the participation prize by buying it and just feuling the behavior.
I know this is a very polarizing topic. Each side feels very strongly about their point of view. But I bring it up because I think there is a correlation with the state of video gaming. It's not a cause but a symptom of a problem we are facing in much more important areas of life. Just wondering what others feel.
I would whole-heartedly support content that is not crafted based on a free-to-play model. And I hope you're right. But those game engines are really delving into a area of expertise that is more akin to console and PC developers and platforms than a mobile provider. This would signify a considerable shift not only in terms of their business acumen but also the platform. Making something like this worthwhile would require a technological shift that would bring console and/or PC gaming to mobile. Thinking about it more though... it may not be too impossible. This may be Apple's answer to Google's new offering...
So, I was going make a snarky comparison to strippers wearing long-johns... but I'll withold that comment til we see what they have to offer.
Why on Earth would there be any need for a game subscription service on a mobile platform where 95% of all content is free shovel-ware based on a microtransaction business model?
Has anyone heard of MicroSD cards being wiped/unrecognised after this update? I just updated my Switch and immediately afterwards, my microSD card is no longer recognised. Anyone else?
@Heavyarms55 Agree to disagree. The opposite is actually true. I'd love to hear the facts on the dozens of examples you state as publicly, there have only been a handful. I and anyone else can site from public record dozens more where the opposite is true It is actually the exception where the police have been found at fault. All incidents are investigated by independent counsel (indpendent of the police union) so you cannot imply corrupt police departments. That is an easy false fact to throw out there. Those investigated that acted improperly have been prosecuted and jailed. I do agree with you that this is not the forum. But facts and statistics show that the opposite of what you are saying is actually true. It is advisable to get your facts from local and federal government judiciary and census reporting (which is all publicly available - at least those reports not blocked by our last administration who chose to hide inconvenient truths vs. Actually dealing with the situation head on with all parties). Not the leftist media.
@Heavyarms55 Yes, this is a happy ending indeed. And the reason for it is that both parties acted responsibly. Tragedy happens in these situations when police are forced to make split second decisions on the life and death of themselves and the civilians they are responsible for protecting when faced with people who act irrisponsibly, threateningly and criminally during the course of a call or arrest. Police are there to protect. And when they are threatened, that means innocents are threatened. I fully expect them to not be Mr. Nice guy to those who are not obeying the same commands I or any other law abiding citzen would in the same situation.
So the example here is a good one. No one gave the officers reason to escalate the situation. There was a mutual respect and a job well done on all sides.
@tourjeff For me, the best guide that was actually bundled with the game was the thick hint guide that was bundled with Phantasy Star II. It was actually shrik-wrapped to the back of the cartridge. At the time, I think that was the first time for a bundled hint guide. I marked that thing up so many times after countless playthroughs.
@Realy_Till I think we are definitely seeing a generational divide in gaming now where value is placed differently depending on the market segment. Some place value on quality, some on quantity bundled with price. Not being too general (there are plenty of exceptions I'm sure) but it seems to be generational. Could be that the generation that grew up in the 80s and 90s are used to seeing pretty much fixed pricing per game cartidge (every game on the shelf with very few exceptions were the same price per system). And also have already seen the level of quality in most of todays indie games before in previous generations of systems. And gamers born new millennial and later have grown up with the vast selection and pennies-on-the-dollar pricing of indie games.
Either way its really interesting to see that gaming is truly main stream. Back in the 80s and 90s, the market was made up of mostly one segment. Now its truly like music where many generations have their specific tastes in not only content but also delivery. Personally, I will always buy complete albums on CD (or even vinyl) and rip them to my devices where as the next gen are happy downloading single songs for .99!
@NEStalgia Seriously, It's a great little mini manual, full color. Reminds me of the ones that came with Gameboy Advance games back in the day. Ahhh... and that sweet huff of freshly opened full color manual literally hurled me back to 1995.
Yeah, I mentioned the "Indie" bit because there are some comments on this thread about the high cost for an Indie game. My thoughts are two-fold:
1. It all comes down to value. The production value here is head and shoulders above 95% of the indie offerings on the market today. The level of talent and care invested in the graphics, gameplay, cutscenes, level design, overall game structure, etc. is what I would expect from Sega or Nintendo 1st party and their best 3rd party efforts. The packaging is BETTER than 1st party efforts just by virtue of what it includes. All for $39.00 (I think i actually got $6 off as pre order). And its not even a "special edition" I dont believe. I would gladly pay $39 for one of these games than the $60 for the garbage pile of 5 to 10 indie games that I played once and will never touch again.
2. Those of us who see this value need to purchase this game to send a message to developers and publishers to show that the investment in highly talented graphic artists, sound engineers, level designers, game designers, product managers and commercialization experts (packaging, promotion, etc.) - as opposed to throw away, 8.5 bit one or two man projects - is wanted and desired.
My .02 on an incredibly beautiful, fully packed and well balanced product offering for $39. Kudos!
Got the physical game yesterday. The productuon value is easily on par with major 3rd and 1st party offerings. With the level of polish and care evident here, its hard to even view this as an indie game.
And... the physical edition (from Amazon pre-order at least) comes with a full color mini manual! Manual whiff lads... manual whiff!
@AloftStudio, The box art looks great. Just the art style and the concept would drive me to pick it up off the shelf as it depicts, to me, my favorite kind of genre and style. Great job! Game looks great too. I wish you much luck during development. I've backed way too many kickstarters and have been burned too many times or have waited too long past promised deliveries for almost all of my investments to bear fruit. So I'm happy to see this pop up on store shelves or eshop whenever it does and will def be a day 1 purchase. Good luck!
I absolutely love the Phantasy Star Series. To be clear, the proper PS series from 1 to 4. I have such fond memories of getting and playing each of them. This one I purchased from Toys R Us the day it came out. Up until then, I had never played a role playing game. The art on the back of the box looked so exciting! With a first person view of the dungeon, the flying Tie Fighter eyeball monster and cool anime characters. It looked action packed!! I was so excited! So imagine my surprise when I discovered that there was no action. No fast arcade gameplay... i mean.... how do you even PLAY this thing????
So I tried to take it back to Toys R Us. And as we know, they didnt take back opened video games. I was stuck with it. And then I'll never forget. I went to my older brother (5 years my senior) and whined to him about it. He was/is not a gamer. But he asked me, "Did you try it?" "Yes!" ..."Did you REALLY try it?" ..."No". "Then quit your whining and go play your game..." and I did just that. I figured out how it was supposed to work. Got into my head that this is a different kind of game than the rest. And from there, I fell in love with a whole new genre of games. To this day, I credit my brother for getting me into my favorite genre of gaming. No coincidence that he also introduced me to D&D as well! Good memories.
Thank you. Too bad I'll have to pass. HD is not kind to games designed for 1/4 the resolution and CRT displays Those are some great games though.
Makes me think that there will be a volume two in this series due to the absense of other titles that are arguably bigger than most in this collection: AVP, Dungeons and Dragons 1 & 2, Magic Sword, Cadillacs vs. Dinosaurs, etc.
The automap feature is what I was hoping for! Plus the graphical enhancement of the PS2 version. Doesnt look like we'll get the latter. But the automap was the biggest wish. I hope it makes it to the West but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I was about to buy this last night. So glad I waited. Sounds like a hot mess. How does a studio even let this out the door with these game-breaking bugs and balance issues? And it's a Switch game (portable) with a single player element that requires an internet connection? Instant pass -
even without all the baggage above.
Also getting real sick of rogue-likes. It's too bad... the art style, graphics and core mechanics would have made for a wonderful little hand-crafted action RPG if the devs poured more love and care into it vs. cashing in on a cheap and easy rogue-like w/ generated levels. My $$ stays in my pocket today.

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Pokédex Contains A Dire Warning About Climate Change
Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Pokédex Contains A Dire Warning About Climate Change

These facts come from the leading climatologist (PHD) and director of the Kato institute and Chicago institute of Science. Anyone ia free to look these facts up.
Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Pokédex Contains A Dire Warning About Climate Change
Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Pokédex Contains A Dire Warning About Climate Change

Exactly.... and this is why.
Re: Random: Now Pokémon Sword And Shield Haters Are Asking Trump To Halt Sales Of The Game
@NEStalgia
Totally! If the 80s was the "Me" decade, then this decade is closing out as the "ME! So F-U" decade. I have never seen such selfishness, entitlement, myopathy, lack of restraint or tolerance (mostly from those who supposedly preach tolerance) and general lack of gratitude in my life.

Re: Capcom Looking To "Awaken" Past Franchises After The "Indisputable Successes" Of Resident Evil And Monster Hunter
Re: Review: Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns - A Worthy Upgrade Of A Solid Match-Three RPG

Re: Nintendo, Sony And Microsoft Band Together To Fight Tariffs On Video Game Consoles
Re: Nintendo, Sony And Microsoft Band Together To Fight Tariffs On Video Game Consoles
Re: Nintendo, Sony And Microsoft Band Together To Fight Tariffs On Video Game Consoles
Re: Nintendo, Sony And Microsoft Band Together To Fight Tariffs On Video Game Consoles
Re: Nintendo, Sony And Microsoft Band Together To Fight Tariffs On Video Game Consoles
Don't hate. Educate.
Re: Nintendo, Sony And Microsoft Band Together To Fight Tariffs On Video Game Consoles
Re: NBA 2K19 Newcomers Outraged By In-Game Video Advertisments

Re: Nintendo Comments On Animal Crossing Delay, Says Employee Work-Life Balance Comes First
If ever there was a valid excuse for a game delay, this is one.
Re: Detective Pikachu Director Comments On Sonic's Movie Makeover
Re: Beat ‘Em Up Arcade Game Clan N Fights Its Way To Switch Later This Year
I know I've been critical of the state of games being released in the last 10 - 15 years.
Re: Talking Point: Could We See Mario Kart Tour At Apple's Event Today?
@antdickens and @chrisb,
I would whole-heartedly support content that is not crafted based on a free-to-play model.
Re: Talking Point: Could We See Mario Kart Tour At Apple's Event Today?
Why on Earth would there be any need for a game subscription service on a mobile platform where 95% of all content is free shovel-ware based on a microtransaction business model?

Re: Random: Police Respond To Noise Complaint And End Up Playing Smash Bros. Ultimate
@Heavyarms55
Agree to disagree. The opposite is actually true. I'd love to hear the facts on the dozens of examples you state as publicly, there have only been a handful. I and anyone else can site from public record dozens more where the opposite is true
It is actually the exception where the police have been found at fault.
Re: Random: Police Respond To Noise Complaint And End Up Playing Smash Bros. Ultimate
@Heavyarms55
Yes, this is a happy ending indeed.
Re: This Awesome Hand-Drawn Ninja Gaiden Guide Brings Back Lovely Pre-Internet Memories
@tourjeff
For me, the best guide that was actually bundled with the game was the thick hint guide that was bundled with Phantasy Star II. It was actually shrik-wrapped to the back of the cartridge. At the time, I think that was the first time for a bundled hint guide. I marked that thing up so many times after countless playthroughs.

Re: Review: Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom - The Best Wonder Boy Game Yet, Even If It Lacks The Name
Re: Review: Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom - The Best Wonder Boy Game Yet, Even If It Lacks The Name
@NEStalgia Right??!!
Re: Review: Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom - The Best Wonder Boy Game Yet, Even If It Lacks The Name
@NEStalgia
Seriously, It's a great little mini manual, full color.
Kudos!
Re: Review: Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom - The Best Wonder Boy Game Yet, Even If It Lacks The Name
Re: Zelda-Inspired Hazelnut Bastille Kickstarter Successful, Switch Version Confirmed
Good luck!
Re: After A Short Delay, Phantasy Star Joins Sega AGES Line At The End Of This Month

Re: Nintendo Download: 20th September (Europe)
Re: Nintendo Download: 20th September (Europe)
Does the Capcom Beat 'em Up Bundle have screen filter options?
Re: Phantasy Star Joins The Sega AGES Range In Japan Next Month, New Features Revealed
The automap feature is what I was hoping for! Plus the graphical enhancement of the PS2 version. Doesnt look like we'll get the latter. But the automap was the biggest wish. I hope it makes it to the West but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Re: Review: Next Up Hero (Switch eShop)
