Developers just can't stop re-releasing trilogies, double-packs and even entire retro libraries on the Switch lately. Just this week, a bunch of Final Fantasy games got release dates, Roll7 announced the two-in-one pack OlliOlli: Switch Stance and Nintendo's latest release New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe includes the original Wii U launch title and the Luigi expansion.

To end the week on a high note, Dragon's Lair Trilogy has now been spotted on the European Switch eShop. It's due out next week on 17th January and includes Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp and Space Ace - where you take control of Ace instead of Dirk. These games are basically cinematic-style quick time events with animation from Don Bluth. The first game was originally released in arcades in 1983, Space Ace came out in 1984 and Dragon's Lair II arrived in 1991. These classic games have since been re-released on modern hardware multiple times.

This isn't the first time the trilogy has appeared on a Nintendo platform, either. The game was also released on the Wii in 2010. In celebration of this latest announcement, the publisher Digital Leisure has released a new trailer and some information about the trilogy via its YouTube channel:

In Dragon's Lair, you play the heroic Dirk the Daring, a valiant knight on a quest to rescue the fair princess from the clutches of an evil dragon!

Space Ace will have you take control of Ace - Defender of justice, truth, and the planet Earth! Ace is being attacked by the evil Commander Borf. Struggle with Dexter to regain his manhood. Destroy the Infanto-Ray. Defeat the evil Borf! Be valiant space warrior, the fate of Earth is in your hands!

Dragon’s Lair II: Time Warp once again has you leading Dirk on a perilous quest! Spirited away to a wrinkle in time by the evil wizard Mordroc, Princess Daphne will be forced to marry the wicked Mordroc unless Dirk can save her. Once the casket of doom has opened, Mordroc will place the death ring upon Daphne’s finger in marriage, and she will be lost forever in the Time Warp.
