North America Gets Pokémon Black and White 2 this Fall

Woo! I'm glad I held off on importing my Living Pokédex into my copy of White. It would be a pain in the butt to move it over again.

they couldnt just made a 3d version,how sad o well we will just wait for sometime in the fall for another ds and i though the ds generation was gone.

@Azikira Are you referring to this in particular? Because the game was announced late Saturday night and Nintendo of America confirmed it at 8am EST Monday morning?

This looks to be a promising game, makes it better since I was smart enough not to get the originals. Probably going to get the white version, just because Zekrom looks beast!

Some of you need to remember that Nintendo observes standard office hours whereas most websites — including ours — do not.

What will buy me, importable pokedex from My White version, or others if possible, and the inclusion of Hoenn, a man can dream right?

Yow, that was fast! Good thing, too. I've calmed down since hearing this was a DS game, but I'm still a little impatient to hear what makes this game worth any interest.

Didn't Nintendo say at one point that some DS games would have special features if played on a 3DS? I might just be confused, or remembering a rumor, but if such concepts do exist, these would be the games to use them.

I'm to the point now that I'm quite excited about it. I'm sure Game Freak is working on a few new twists to make it really fun and worthwhile to new players and those that completed Black/White. I dusted off my limited edition Pokémon White DSi last night and spent a good hour in Unova again, kind of looking forward to a new adventure in that region.

I figured Nintendo would want to support the 3DS with these as it would certainly drive the sales up.

Ppl please! They released it on DS because the first ones were released on DS. GAME FREAK isn't Sega. They wouldn't give you one and not the other. (Implying from Sonic 4 Episode 2's non-release on WiiWare)

^ They had a reason for that, but we've been through that already.

Alright maybe it will be out in time for my B-day (and the 5th anniversary since I got my first Pokemon game, which was Diamond).

Im just waiting for something good. Ive been with this since red/blue (green if your used to imports). I either want hoenn region access or (atleast) to be able to find out where N goes.

Doubt what you said is true. Gamefreak is always working on something even during a development of a game. They worked on Diamond and Pearl during FireRed and LeafGreen.

I'm not happy, the original black and white were disappointing.

I did not have a problem with the game being on DS, which makes sense as they will always aim for the biggest user base.

But still, it should have a lot of new stuff (as they are promising) for me to take the plunge. A couple of new Kyurems are not enough for me.

can't wait need to bug my parents to get me that for chirstmas XD

I'm less than 100 Pokemon away from completing the National Pokedex on my copy of White. Well, at least I now have a time target to hit.

These were highly anticipated? This announcement was the first I've ever heard of them. Everybody wanted "Grey", or 3DS games. I never heard anybody want or expect 2 new games based off of Black and White.

So it is confirmed that hybrid DS/3DS carts are possible? Why has nobody yet used this technology for new DS releases? The Game Boy Color had a huge catalog of games (black carts) which were backwards compatible with the Game Boy.

Dont care about pokemon anymore. after the gameboy games i dont find pokemon fun anymore

@Mryokokurama1 Its been what, 3-4 years since gameboy games have been invented. Try it out. I just got back into pokemon after quiting for a year. ALL the DS ones rock. Except mystery dungeons and, kind of Pokemon Rangers"
