Personally for me, the peak of it all was when I got Super Smash Bros. Brawl back in 2010, because that game alone made me become a full blown Nintendo fanboy. And my interest and involvement in the Nintendo stream has continued growing ever since.

As the year slowly starts heading towards the holidays, many of us are already looking forward to the Wii's successor, the Wii U. Looking back, what are some of your found memories you have had with your Wii?

Biggest Smash Bros. and Pikmin fan on NL!

Pikmin fact of the week: The Pearly Clamclamps in Pikmin 1 can still attack and eat Pikmin even after being defeated. They are the only creatures in the game able to do so.

pretty much brawl and twilight princess,I loved the ssb series and it got so much better and for twilight princess I only saw gameplay of it on game cube but when I got it for wii the whole world was mirrored and you have navi(or some random fairy)as a pointer.

The day when most people get active is the day zombies roam...but there should be a thousand ways to kill them to make life more easy, but if you become one...expect a serious case of the munchies.

That time I burnt it was nice. We all gathered around and sang to Lord Tretton. Good times.

Wii Sports with my family was my all time greatest moment in my entire gaming life. Also, No More Heroes, Wii Sports/Fit/Music, and the Trauma Center games are worthy mentions. Also, the first time I played Sonic 3 on Wii was amazing (as a Sega turncoat...been a Sega fan since the 90s and did NOT expect this to ever happen).

My friend who worked at the mall had insider trading information, so I remember standing in line at GameStop like 4 days before Christmas and buying one (because he knew when the truck was coming). I remember buying a ton of Virtual Console games and being so happy to play these old games again as an adult. I remember the joy of playing Mario Galaxy for the first time. I also remember so much happiness at playing DKCR, NSMBW, Metroid: Other M (haters be damned! It was essentially a new 2D Metroid game!) and even Animal Crossing: City Folk for the first time. The Wii was a fun system for old people like me. :p

Here's my top 5 memories of the short time I've spent with the Wii console. I hadn't purchased a Wii console until sometime in the Winter of 2010.

1) Virtual Console
2) The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
3) Xenoblade Chronicles
4) Super Mario Galaxy
5) Fishing Resort (The best fishing videogame currently available on any platform)

I'm still planning to purchase a copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Wario Land: Shake It!.

I highly recommend SMG2, but most of all, Wario Land.

2. Super Mario Galaxy. That game was magic, made me feel like I did when I was a kid playing Mario 64
3. Playing Zelda: Twilight Princess for the first time. It lived up to the MASSIVE hype for the first 48 hours =P

Definitely Brawl memories, some of those are priceless. Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, so that's pretty nice too. I also loved playing through Twilight Princess. Muramasa: The Demon Blade captivated me as well, which was something I did not expect.
