You couldn't get much last year for one...I remember a lady coming into gamestop asking how much she'd get for trading in here Wii, and it was, like...$50 I think. Probably less. That's at Gamestop of course, but a quick check on eBay reveals...that that's not a whole lot higher than you'd get for a complete boxed console. I see them going for as low as $65.
yeah, transfering data would be huge, and i have a backlog of gamecube games too, so at least not right away.
Feel free to add me and contact me
Darn you Nintendo, my backlog is already out of control and you are just making it worse with these new game announcements!!!!
The main thing that will suck is losing save data for games that don't allow you to copy save data - pretty much anything with an online component. I definitely hope there will be a data transfer app a la DSi -> 3DS and it will be able to copy save data too. Otherwise I guess I'll just be playing a lot of Samurai Warriors 3 on my Wii-U after launch!
Nope because the Wii belongs to my dad. If anything, it goes right back to him Plus he no like a Wii U so if I buy it, it's completely for my use only :3

I usually stick to owning one console at a time, I've sold Wiis, PS3s and 360s this generation to finance the purchase of an alternative when I fancy it. I'll be keeping my Wii though, just to use as a Netflix device for the bedroom.
I'm probably going to sell mine, but I'm not sure who will want to pay £450 for my Wii.
I'll explain shall I? It has 56 downloaded games in total which goes to around £400+ along with a Classic Controller, Wii Wheel, White Wiimote (with jacket), White Nunchuk, Headbanger Headset, Wii Play and Skyward Sword. So you're looking at around £600+ in total for all of it. It's got a lot going for it, but will anyone buy it? Probably not...
I wouldn't mind a Wii U but this'll also help in paying for more 3DS games.
Even if I can transfer all my data and then play my GameCube games on my GameCube, I'm not giving up GameCube controller functionality for my Wii games.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Never. I will need to pull out Sonic Mega collection to do Debug mode sooner or later!
Not to mention doing a transfer on the save data to the wii U will be great! (It's possible if I copy the VC games on an SD card, transfer the license, and put same SD card in WII U)
