Mario Kart 8 visually looks far more stunning than that PS4 Knack Sh**.
What happened to the 'gameplay>graphics' mumbo jumbo?
Realistic cartoon graphics obv.

You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
For most Next-Gen means better graphics and higher specs. That's all. The games will all look and play the same for the most part. This is why I like Nintendo, they take a different road more predicated on fun and accessibility.

How much fun have you had with that tablet
Not sure if this is supposed to be read literally "Fun? Really? How much fun have you had with that tablet?"
or rhetorically "yeah! exactly! How much fun have you had with that tablet?"

Wii U is "next gen", as in the current gen that has already started. "Next gen" doesn't always mean better, though. Just look at SNES and N64: the SNES was a far better console than the N64. Not in pure processing power, but in things like controller design, game library and focus of games.

SNES and N64 are fairly poor examples to use in this argument. For their time they were both a huge leap in power over the competitors from the previous generation. The SNES added visuals not at all possible on the Master System or NES and the N64 added 3D graphics in a quality that the Mega Drive (Genesis) and SNES couldn't possibly do. Ontop of that it could be argued fairly reasonably that the N64 was in some ways a more capable machine than the Playstation and the same could have also been said of the SNES over the Mega Drive. In comparison the Wii U is neither a significant competitor in terms of visuals for the PS4 and XBone nor is it a console that's significantly more powerful than the 360 or PS3.
I do agree that the Wii U is a "next-gen" console, as valueless as the term is, I just think that's a pretty poor example.
