I got my purple GC on release day along with Luigis Mansion and Pikmin. I remember being blown away by the graphical effects in Luigi's Mansion. The ghosts , lighting and the mirrors looked awesome (and still do IMO) ,Pikmin looked awesome too.The GC had a limited catalogue but there were some real AAA titles on there.Love the controller too!!
I got my first Gamecube games for my Wii. So I've gotten the vast majority in pawn shops.
First two were Metroid Prime and F Zero GX. Luckily a week later the pawn shop had two more great games in, Tales of Symphonia, and I forget, which one it was but ToS eclipses it well

Got the Gamecube on release day with Luigi's Mansion and Wave Race: Blue Storm. The next games I got were Pikmin, Super Smash Bros. Melee and NBA Courtside 2002. Then Eternal Darkness and Starfox Adventures, Mario Party 4 and Metroid Prime.
I never had a GameCube; when I got my Wii and the chance of play GC games on it , I have got The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Tales of Symphonia. Fire Emblem was VERY difficult to find!!!!

I got Super Smash Bros, Pikmin and Lord of the Rings 3 with my GCN for Christmas, and I bought Double Dash 3 days later.

Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race: Blue Storm and Rogue Leader were the games I grabbed on launch day. I think I went back for Super Monkey Ball the following day. Great days. <3
