When I got the GameCube, it came with Sunshine. After being disappointed with that, I got Thousand Year Door for something more traditional. I was very impressed.

First ever Gamecube game for me was Sunshine. Although i wasn't disappointed with the game i knew it wasn't the greatest Mario game ever. I then got Super Smash Bros Melee and lets just say that game stayed in my Wii for a good month and a half.
Eternal Darkness maybe? There were also some 2-pack games from Zellers on clearance sale when I started buying, so it might have been Viewtiful Joe and Killer 7, or Pikmin 2 and Donkey Konga 2.
Out of all those games, the only one that disappointed me was Viewtiful Joe. Very well made, but not my type of game.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Preordered WW to get the OoT/MQ disc as soon as I found out my bro was selling the N64 for a Gamecube. Really regret not saving up for the GCN and keeping the N64, though I guess that would be just one more system we'd have to fight over to decide who gets when I leave.
Before I moved to Texas in late Summer of '02, I visited my American relatives. I decided to buy a GameCube, and Super Smash Bros. Melee, seeing as I very much enjoyed the original Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64. The game is still great.
