This was one of the first Gameboy games I ever owned. My mom got it for me on my 13th B-day along with my very first Gameboy. I'll never forget that summer. The game totally blew me away. Catchy music, Fun worlds and the first ever appearance of Wario. I still have that same cartridge today and I love it to death! Now it's coming to VC for all to enjoy!
This tune is just an example of how catchy the music can be. [youtube:EmD9WnLYR5I] Groovy eh?

Yeah, its a fun game. It got down-rated when it was new because of how easy it was. Back then if a game could be completed quickly and didn't have multiplayer, it was considered a bad game for being so easy.
I prefer games like Super Mario Land 2 where I can play them again and again without getting bored than a hard game that I give up in frustration after a short amount of time.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
I still have it! I found it on the bus one day, on my way home from school

Nope, sadly I never owned this game. But I do have 2 copies of Super Mario Land....does that count? D: I absolutely cannot wait for this and Metroid II to be released.

I must have finished this game a dozen times or more.
My strategy was to beat the hardest worlds first. At the time I considered the Halloween and Space worlds to be the hardest, but I'm not sure if that's really the case. Macro world was probably the easiest.
I had it along with around 20 other GB/C titles up until earlier this year. It's an all time favorite and when it came out in the day it blew me away not just in the size and quality, but the graphics. I was staring at 'Super' Mario and I was like no way, so I flipped on the SNES and I was right, they were using the '16bit' art body and animation which was so cool seeing how GB stuff looked up to that point. When it drops along with Gargoyle's Quest and Mega Man I'll get them, Metroid is a maybe though as I recall it driving me nuts more than being fun as it really did need a map due to how it was designed.

I remember having so much trouble with this game when I first played it when I was 9, and that was on Easy Mode. Wario just put me in tears (I did that as a kid, couldn't cuss at the game because I'd get in trouble).
Played it again a few years back for the first time in over a decade, finished normal mode without a single game over.
I can remember Metroid II. I think I beat it once, and that was because I had a Nintendo Power with maps of the first few areas of the game. It only helps to remember, while each region of the game is itself, the regions are a bit linear. So if you go back to the main area of the game (which as I remember, is the only one that plays the main theme music). And of course if you find the acid pits, you're going the wrong way.
Yep I still have the cartridge of Super Mario Land 2. I got it for a Christmas present one year and I still remember how excited I was when I pull that package out of my stocking and ripped it open to see the box art.
I tried to play that game the other day on my GBA SP but after 5 mins of playing it the GBA SP battery died and I cant find the dang charger.

I had it but I never finished it. I beat all the worlds but had trouble with the boss on the space world and so I put it down. Purely because I didn't want to have to go back and beat all the bosses again if I got a game over..... even though I had heaps of lives.
Checked it again recently (maybe two years ago) and the save file is gone, dead battery. I probably won't get it on the VC but only because I don't remember enjoying it THAT much...... or at least not as much as Mario Land 1, Donkey Kong Land, Tetris, Dr Mario, Pokemon or Mario & Yoshi.
I've got two carts kicking around so I'm not sure if I'll pick it up on VC but man was this an awesome game. The Halloween and Macro worlds were my favorite.
Sady I still have it..... I can't sell it at gamestop to buy a real game
