Topic: Star Fox 64 3D

If there was a topic about this game, then I could not find it.

Anyway, what are everyone's opinions about this upcoming remake? Personally, I am just excited about this as OOT 3D. It may not have online multiplayer, but the game still looks incredible.

I think this is a game that really could have done with online multiplayer, sure local multiplayer is included and I like the fact it uses a photo of you as the pilot mug shot but im not sure I would know any or many people locally who would play it. I agree that it does look good.

yeah, i remember good aerial fight in starfox 64.... too bad we wont be able to do so on 3DS too.

but its yet...another remake. cmon nintendo. stop remaking your past, and make something new like you did with your console.
im still half-buy half-no-buy about this one...

More in a need of a remake than Ocarina.

The series slipped away. Remaking the 64 version hopefully brings it back on track.

Putting effort in developing a gyroscope mode over wi-fi multiplayer is pretty troublesome though. It makes me fear they're still not taking online multiplayer seriously.

I'm bummed there's no online multi (Don't know anyone who'll have it), but the modes on the original weren't super fantastic. A campaign co-op would have been awesome, but they would have had to put a lot of work into changeups
I mean, if someone else is using Slippy it'd be hard to get him into the "SAVE ME, FOX" moment that opened up the second path on Corneria

I don't care, it's still a day 1 purchase for me. I love Starfox 64 to no end
We need more games you can beat in one sitting but have so many storypaths you can have it be different every time for 100 plays

I'll definitely be picking this Re-Masterpiece up.
and yeah there is no online Multiplayer.... didn't stop it from being a masterpiece before

although I guess it would have been a nice feature. But hey, if this sells well (which it probably will) then maybe we could see a new Star fox like 64 but with Online support down the road.

SF64 was fun but the gameplay was pretty shallow, imho. Not sure if I'd drop 40 bucks on it.

I remember that game. Pretty awesome, I am looking forward to the 3D version. I mean flying in space in 3D... Just the sound of it sounds awesome.

nintendo's been pretty quiet about this one, i guess they're focusing on ocarina of time first. little comparison in case anyone hasn't seen it:

Reviving this thread to deliver some important news the release date in America has been moved to FRIDAY 9 2011. Smart move Nintendo.

It's only a few days earlier than originally planned. I think Nintendo America gave a lot of thought to not release their flight game on 9/11... ;/
