Topic: Digital pets vs. Real pets

What do you think is better? Real pets or Digital pets? Me myself think digital pets are better. Minus being able to protect you in real life, Digital pets are very loving and can always be with you. Plus you don't have to clean up its poop and urine.

I had a nintendodog as a kid and though it was cool.

It wasn't until maybe two years ago (my 11th grade year) that we got a dog. Nothing in the world like a Companion that leazy when your lazy and crazy excited when you are. Going to sleep and he/she jumps into your bed and curls around you. Begging for food. The hardest thing I've had to do was give me up my dog a month ago.

Real pets. I've never forgotten their existence, which is a huge point in their favor, unlike a few digital pets.

My parents won't let me have a pet and I'm allergic to most cats and dogs so please don't hate on digital pets. Not every one gets the pet experience.

meh, stuff like Nintendogs gets boring after a while, in 3D or not. Nothing beats a real live pet :3
though i guess there's no need to vacuum up Nintendog fur, lol...

@TBD: Yeah...I had the DS game, enjoyed it for a while, but it got boring after that...decided to skip out on the 3DS one. xD
(besides, I have Sims 3 Pets anyway. )

I have a cat... a real furry living cat that meows, purrs, sleeps, poops, pees, all that fun stuff. Real pets you can actually play with and pet. They can either be loyal or independent, and they always want to be loved.

Digital pets are just... there. No emotion, no sense of companionship.

a) They're programmed to look like they love you, but in reality they're just a bunch of 1's and 0's
2) They leave you the moment your battery dies, or if your console turns off, breaks, etc.
