Re: Talking Point: The Wii U Virtual Console Has Started, But Not With a Bang

Their release schedule is pathetic. They should be bombarding us with titles when the system is going through such a drought. The 3ds took two years to just have 30 or so Game Boy games and far less GBC games. The support is really disheartening.

And who wants to bet those GBA ambassador games are the one's going up on the Wii U?

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Helping Developers to Convert Smartphone Games to Wii U

This is widely being reported as a "desperate move" by Nintendo to help their "flagging system. While, I don't think Nintendo is in complete panic mode, I'm fine with this choice. It may lead to more gamepad only games that were shown at e3 and then never spoken of again. However, I hope they still scrutinize games whit quality control because there is a lot of crap on phones.

Re: Talking Point: The Importance of the Virtual Console

I'd hardly say the 3ds VC made significant strides. Hopefully, the release on Wii U will be faster but I think they may be slow to get people to buy games you don't really care about.
@WaveBoy....uh, there is no lag because of the gamepad or hd and the controls are now fully customizable.
However, I dont understand why the emulation has to be so exact that when multiple enemies appear on screen in kirby it slows down like I'm actually on a nes.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Revised Approach to E3

I think Nintendo held back a bit last year because of the 3DS.. They revealed a lot of games for the 3DS too early. We saw tons of footage of Kid Icarus far before we got to play it. Showing things incrementally seems better. Then again, fans won't be pleased without reveals at E3.

Re: Nintendo Says The Play Limit On Demos Is Set By The Publishers

tsm7

I think it just has a psychological effect. No, I'm not going to play the demo more than 30 times. However, to suggest that I'm not going to buy a game I'm interested in because I can play the same 3 levels repeatedly is ridiculous. Being unnecessarily restricted makes one indignant. ---You can play 'M' rated games all you want and download them directly to your system...but only 4 hours a day.

Re: GoldenEye 007 Developer Closes Its Doors

Part of what made the original Goldeneye fun is that you could be shot two dozen times grab some body armor and still win. Sometimes the good part of video games is that they don't have to be realistic.
