I also have to say the n64 launch lineup wasnt great, neither the ps3 lineup. This launch lineup being posted by blockbuster if it was a100% real it would be fine given a mario title thrown in there. An i will go on the record to say the 3ds launch lineup was good variety..
From the start "wii" as a name sucked but ninty said they was trying to go some place different with that name choice. Wii u is a crappy name also and i hope it changes at e3. But i am sure people knows the wii was made by nintendo. But sometimes when you have a name that appeals to millions why let it go thats all i was saying. Thats why sequels are made to get every buck from a name people know well. But back on topic, the game list is okay and speculative and i am sure they will be big surprises right before and at e3..
@billy.. how has apple stolen the wii market. wii gimmick?.... idk how u figured apple has stolen anything. ninty might have taken a look at apples business model and use it to their advantage by the way they implemented the wii into the console race many yrs ago. and the wii could have been greater if devs didn't bring out crap games to get a buck and didn't place wii in the kids category. but i do hope that ninty gives up the wii name and go with another name. but the wii name still holds familiarity with people and that helps them in the long run..

im not that much interested in digital downloads of full games. i like to borrow games from other people to test out and play and i don't know if it can be done when u can only have a digital dowload on one system. well we shall see how it goes in the upcoming months..

ive always loved pes for the wii. pes is a more technical football game than fifa on the wii. when fifa first came to the wii it was a good game but then it went the way of arcade base and fell off which was a shame. but im glad to hear that pes 2013 is coming out for the wii again and i'm sure that pes will hit wii u sooner rather than later since pes came to the 3ds early in its life cycle

no they are not. let me rethink my answer. they do pump out a lot of mario titles but most of them are high quality. im not really talking about the sports games, but mario galaxy and mario for the ds and mario kart. even mario strikers was a good game for the game cube i think it first came out for. but ninty has metroid, now kid icarus is back. but mario games sells like hotcakes, so why wouldn't ninty keep up this cash cow. more power to them. i haven't played mario galaxy titles as yet but soon enough i will. i say keep pumping out mario titles until they don't sell good anymore.
if the price is right around 300 thats cool. but i hope it wont cost more than 400. ninty gotta make a profit somehow i guess. day after day new lil tidbits keep on coming out about the wii u. hmm 2 more months until we see whats really in this box and all the things it can do. price tag around 300 is cool for me, cause in reality people drop 250 on a new smart phone every year or so, and we all know a phone never lasts 5 to 8 years.. i know people will start bitching from start about the price no matter what it is, but come on people what do u expect if you want ninty to compete
yes i am concerned about power for the wii u. devs want to work with a machine that they can have the power right there for them. devs want more and more power at their disposal. they complained how the wii was underpowered when they could just be creating some great games with good visuals for the wii. so i hope ninty gave the devs enough power to work with so they can stop their belly aching. but the ds didnt have amazing power but some devs actually created some great games for it. in the end devs need to be creative and not put out some gimmicky crap that no one will be fooled from..
its a shame that these games took so long to come out on the wii. we could have used some high profile rpg's when the system was in its 2nd or 3rd year. that would have definitely combat all the crappy shovelware that was being pushed on the system in those years. i hope the wii u will learn from this and bring out some excellent rpg's in its 1st years..

its all about marketing, advertising. you have to get your products out there to reach the public somehow. nintendo has that brand that is widely known. third parties need to spend some money on advertising their games either in print magazines, online or on tv, and also nintendo need to help them as well either by making demos available for people to try out the game. and also the consumer need to also support the third parties. meaning if you buy a third party game and its excellent, then recommend it to other people, word of mouth also drives sales. so both the third parties and ninty need to do a better job marketing their games. trust me im in marketing and spending dollars in that department will make a big difference in game sales..
wii u is sounding better and better each day. nintendo holds their cards tight and don't show their hand until they are good and ready. i can't wait to get my hands on the wii u later this year
i loved the nascar games back on the gamecube . i think it was nascar thunder, or i may be wrong by which system it was out for but that was a great game. developers need to make a great sim base nascar game and maybe throw in some street level mini games. placing nascar on this crappy title is not good for nascar. hopefully we get a great nascar game next go around..

i agree with u shingi the 3ds has some good games out and the launch wasn't spectacular but good nonetheless considering the amount of games its lauch with. I also agree with the article about nintendo changing to fight off the competition. nintendo is putting a lot of money into the 3ds and developers are taking notice. heck the ds had some great games on it, im still catching up on all the great rpg's that came out on the ds. the wii is slowly dying and not many good games will surface for it now but it had a great run, such as the first madden that came out on the wii was great. And im sure that ninty been spending all that surplus money into developing the wii u. so i have faith in ninty.
i don't understand why everyone gets down on the 3ds for. it didn't have a spectacular launch but it did have a decent lineup of games and the back catalog is extensive. doesn't anyone remember when the ps3 first launch with some crappy games and the ds also took some time to gain some steam. but i feel that since the wii u is a year away that nintendo will be fine. just look at the content that is coming out for the 3ds now. so with strong support the wii u should be fine
well if the wii u is coming out next fall then im sure madden and fifa will be ready to roll on it. and with any console i can only hope that the lineup keeps getting better year after year. so lets hope no shovelware, but maybe im being too optimistic
some games are easier to play with the wii motion controls. i remember the 1st time i played madden on the wii, i was blown away by how easy the in game controls were. and some games don't need motion, thats why when i see people flailing their hands like crazy, im like all u have to do is a lil flick and u get a response. but some developers go crazy implementing motion controls when they have a choice of 3 control schemes with the wii. and ubisoft didn't do motion controls much justice in their games either so they should take a look at themselves 1st.
stock holders are just idiots that dont know much. ninty make ur own path, cause you know sony and microsoft will follow. keep pumping out them great games and learn from your mistakes. 3ds to me is coming along just fine. people should give it time to build up momentum like the original ds did.

the more the merrier i always say. we always need more choices, not everyone likes the same thing so variety is good to have on a console. not everyone thinks sf series is the best fighter of all time, but enjoy watever you like. im glad to see developers are finally embracing ninty consoles again
so it sold over 4 million units in 4 months, that sounds very impressive to me. but i guess we are just number crunchers just like the corporate folks. lets enjoy some of the hardware and some of the games thats out there already and lets not forget the back catalog of games. well a price drop has me sold on the system already. i guess it can get better on the online front, cause everything else on the 3ds seems good to me..
don't do it ninty, stick to what you do best. gaming on smart phones isn't all its cracked up to be. okay the visuals are okay but the controls sucks. i played ncaa football on the ipad and the controls wasn't good, visuals were decent, but nothing spectacular. too much smart phones out there on the market. but if someone was smart they would develop a better battery that last longer for these devices
i don't understand why everyone is complaining about lack of games, cause the 3ds has a decent lineup of games, plus you have the back catalog of the ds games. how long has the 3ds been out for, i feel that we get too spoileed sometimes. for god sakes the n64 dropped with only 2 games. plus you have to factor in the price of the 3ds at launch and the dsi still has life in it. people are still picking up the ps2. so to me the games aren't the reason here, i know that they aren't a lot of triple A titles for the 3ds but nonetheless it has games for everyone right now. plus really how many games can you really play at once.
ive been looking forward on playing a new f1 game on the wii since the 1st one came out and im sure this new one will be great. i also like the dirt series. all we need now is screenshots and video of games running on wii u hardware..

nintendo just prints money. well congrats to ninty. keep up the good work. just got a 3ds for the misse and super mario looks incredible. im about to just take it from her and keep it for myself. but i have a dsi and still have some good games on there to play till i get a 3ds myself..

it should have been called revolution. that name revolution would have put more fear into sony and microsoft hearts. but the wii for me was a great system, i enjoyed playing some great games on here and i still have more great games left to be played. ive always told my friends that the money ninty makes from the wii that their next system will be great. i still say that its easier to play sports games and shooting games with the wii remote and nunchuck. and im sad for all thoes newbies who broked thier tvs playing like crazy animals with the remote.. lol..

i agree with u shingi the 3ds has some good games out and the launch wasn't spectacular but good nonetheless considering the amount of games its lauch with. I also agree with the article about nintendo changing to fight off the competition. nintendo is putting a lot of money into the 3ds and developers are taking notice. heck the ds had some great games on it, im still catching up on all the great rpg's that came out on the ds. the wii is slowly dying and not many good games will surface for it now but it had a great run, such as the first madden that came out on the wii was great. And im sure that ninty been spending all that surplus money into developing the wii u. so i have faith in ninty.

i don't understand why everyone gets down on the 3ds for. it didn't have a spectacular launch but it did have a decent lineup of games and the back catalog is extensive. doesn't anyone remember when the ps3 first launch with some crappy games and the ds also took some time to gain some steam. but i feel that since the wii u is a year away that nintendo will be fine. just look at the content that is coming out for the 3ds now. so with strong support the wii u should be fine

some games are easier to play with the wii motion controls. i remember the 1st time i played madden on the wii, i was blown away by how easy the in game controls were. and some games don't need motion, thats why when i see people flailing their hands like crazy, im like all u have to do is a lil flick and u get a response. but some developers go crazy implementing motion controls when they have a choice of 3 control schemes with the wii. and ubisoft didn't do motion controls much justice in their games either so they should take a look at themselves 1st.

Nintendo just prints money. but lets see if this keeps up for the long run, but i have a feeling it will with strong titles coming out in the near future. Imma pick me up a 3ds soon, too many strong titles out there to resist any longer. I hope now people will stop their conplaining about nothing good to play on the system.

the more the merrier i always say. we always need more choices, not everyone likes the same thing so variety is good to have on a console. not everyone thinks sf series is the best fighter of all time, but enjoy watever you like. im glad to see developers are finally embracing ninty consoles again

so it sold over 4 million units in 4 months, that sounds very impressive to me. but i guess we are just number crunchers just like the corporate folks. lets enjoy some of the hardware and some of the games thats out there already and lets not forget the back catalog of games. well a price drop has me sold on the system already. i guess it can get better on the online front, cause everything else on the 3ds seems good to me..

don't do it ninty, stick to what you do best. gaming on smart phones isn't all its cracked up to be. okay the visuals are okay but the controls sucks. i played ncaa football on the ipad and the controls wasn't good, visuals were decent, but nothing spectacular. too much smart phones out there on the market. but if someone was smart they would develop a better battery that last longer for these devices

i don't understand why everyone is complaining about lack of games, cause the 3ds has a decent lineup of games, plus you have the back catalog of the ds games. how long has the 3ds been out for, i feel that we get too spoileed sometimes. for god sakes the n64 dropped with only 2 games. plus you have to factor in the price of the 3ds at launch and the dsi still has life in it. people are still picking up the ps2. so to me the games aren't the reason here, i know that they aren't a lot of triple A titles for the 3ds but nonetheless it has games for everyone right now. plus really how many games can you really play at once.

the wii is a top selling console no one can deny it that. well hopefully these amazing sales can translate over to the wii u, damn wish it had a better name. well we will see the 3ds pick up even more steam later this year. and next year the wii u will be crazy. so much for the demise of nintendo..
