@-wc- Silly argument. Chessmaster for the NES had a rewind function.

The idea that you don't have the discipline to not use a rewind function is an indication of a lack of self control in you, not an issue with the game.

@Captain-N @Captain-N my apologies I’m in my mid 40s and sometimes forget things. I do remember getting Mario 64 when it came out, but upon looking it up it was August of 2000.

I really don't understand all the hemming and hawing about this. Games have been sold at $60 for almost thirty years now - I remember picking up Mario Tennis for the 64 at that price point back in the '90s. $70 today is still cheaper, when factoring in inflation, are still cheaper than what they were sold for in the '80s and '90s.

Honestly sounds like entitlement from a lot of you.

@Axecon new Fast and Furious movie coming out. Last couple movies made over a billion.

@Vil @Simon97 Blu Ray discs are more expensive and for me, I can't tell a difference in the picture, so why would I bother spending an extra $5 to $10? Must be enough people like me still as DVD only or DVD/Blu Ray combos are readily available.

Also - if you don't won an Xbox or PS system, you don't have that blu ray built in to anything.

@Tasuki The movie landscape is far different than it was 30 years ago. PCS almost always set up the movie for a sequel. That wasn't the case during the original Mario Bros. movie. Further, this movie mad $500 million in 10 days. Of course there's going to be a sequel.

The release date for the movie is April 5, 2023. That's tomorrow, not today.

There is nothing on this list that is day 1 buy worthy for me. Nintendo's release schedule has left a lot to be desired lately.

@JGruns Walmart and Target in the States do the same thing - ask if you want to buy protection for video games. It's something that's automatically flagged in their system.

@Heavyarms55 sounds more like an issue with your cousin and her mother saying no than an actual Fortnight issue.

You can progress in Fortnight without spending money fairly easily. It’s not an excuse anymore than any rationale for any question of why is. I don’t spend money on Fortnight and don’t allow my kids to, and they do just fine.

@soapmonkey - I got to say, your apology was a nice surprise. I come into any conversation about Fortnight on a defensive footing just because of how much my kids love the game. I can't stand it personally, but they love it.

Honestly, I don't know why so many people have such a hard time with reading comprehension. Amazon didn't say they were "preventing" anything. Even in your article you quote them as saying they are prioritizing essential items.

@NSega64 you're not the only one. In my opinion, it's the best console Nintendo ever made. We have three of them.

@Nintyfan It certainly is a port. Just because it was released simultaneously doesn't mean it wasn't planned for and designed for the Wii U first and then ported to the Switch. I can't post links here, but just do a cursory search and you'll that's the case.

I don't care if it was the best selling game of all time. It's tedious and the fighting mechanics in the game are terrible. I'm glad you like it. I'm glad you use popularity as a measure of quality (even though you went out of your way to say you don't), but that's not what moves me. And quite honestly, BOTW feels more like the game you derided, GTA, than a real Zelda game.

Finally, the point was never discussed. Why do some people feel the need to rub something they have in others faces? That was the whole point of the op that I referred to.

@Lordplops why would you do that when Breath of the Wild, which was released for the Wii U (then ported to the Switch) wasn't a very good game?

@Incoherent1 Pikmin 3 certainly is GamePad only. That's pretty much the only way I play it.

@DavidMac technically you can play Pikmin 1 and 2 on your Wii U as they both had Wii releases.

@Donutman our Wii U is also an entertainment hub. In the back of my mind though, I worry a little bit about when Netflix or YouTube decide to turn off their apps on the device, like they did with the Wii. I'll enjoy it until it goes off the air though.

No Pikmin 4 means 2020 will be a bad year, no matter the game released.
