Re: Two More NES Games Join The Nintendo Switch Online Service In August

@nocdaes I actually don't think he does speak for the "core Nintendo fan," whatever that means. People like you or me posting on sites like this are so insulated from what the casual Nintendo fan likes and enjoys. I'm guessing the vast majority of people are okay with the $20 price tag for Nintendo online. And that's who Nintendo is trying to please. You guys threatening to not renew over really petty things are a drop in the bucket for Nintendo.

Re: Jumanji: The Video Game Comes To Nintendo Switch This November

@Greenmanalishi Robin Williams' character had one film. The four characters in this movie / video game have two films, if you count the one set to release this year. Just because Williams' film is older doesn't make it better. And for what it's worth, Welcome to the Jungle is objectively better than the original Jumanji.

Re: Review: Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn - A Timeless Classic That Feels Right At Home On 3DS

@Charlie_Girl with that being said anything that even one person used as a portable device could be deemed portable. For instance, if you have an electric source, you could bring a small tv with you and plug in a console. Or a toaster could be deemed as portable. So it doesn't really matter to me what thousands of people do. The Switch is great, another iteration for Nintendo. But for me, because the portability is simply not there for reasons I brought up earlier, it's not a portable device.

Re: Japanese Poll Discovers That Vast Majority Of Viewers Were Pleased With The Nintendo Direct

@andrew124 Yes, I can complain, anytime I want. It doesn't make me a "hater" (which again, considering you use the word to define someone who doesn't like something you like, indicates that you have no clue what it means).

And quite honestly, you don't really know what you're talking about. I didn't expect Nintendo to drop Pikmin 4; I was simply hopeful. Because my hopes were dashed, the direct didn't produce for me. Literally every single person in the entire world could be thrilled for Mario Maker 2 and it wouldn't make a difference to how the direct fared for me. That's something that you don't seem to understand - people like different things. And couple that with the fact that Nintendo hinted a completed Pikmin 4 nearly three years ago, yes, this direct was a disappointment for me. Not to mention the fact that I don't care for rpgs and anime based games, there wasn't much there for me. Doesn't make me a hater, and certainly doesn't validate your desire to have me not comment when my opinion differs from you.

At the end of the day, I guess all I can say is grow up.

Re: Guide: What's New In Super Mario Maker 2 For Nintendo Switch?

teamdave2002

@Denoloco Plenty of people need traditional 2d Mario games made by the masters. Too many people are not creative. Couple that with the fact that laying one off levels that don't theme with each other is very different than playing through a 2d Mario with levels within worlds that mesh together. Very different styles of game.

Re: Japanese Poll Discovers That Vast Majority Of Viewers Were Pleased With The Nintendo Direct

teamdave2002

@BulkSlash either. If you the one game you've been wanting still hasn't even been confirmed to be in the pipeline, it's pretty easy to call this direct a failure. For me, that game is Pikmin 4. I never cared much for Zelda games, FF, or rpgs in general. The only decent game announced was Mario Maker 2, and even that game alone doesn't "win" a direct. Big fail for me.

Re: New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe Launch Sales Were Actually 56% Higher Than On Wii U, Not 24.8%

teamdave2002

@Carnictis It's not an awesome reply. Quite honestly, it's petulant and childish to insult others who are feeling slighted by Nintendo. Wii U owners supported Nintendo through a real down period in it's history, and Nintendo basically spits in their face about it. Although from a business point of view it makes sense, for those who feel slighted or salty about it, it makes sense. Then you have guys come out and complain about that?

Re: Video: Super Mario Party's Online Mode Is A Real Party Pooper

teamdave2002

@nhSnork That is an awesome comment. I used to play both sides in Axis and Allies, imagining it more as an unfolding of events than as a game between two separate players. My parents loved that I could entertain myself when no one else was around. My wife just looks at me with a touch of concern...
