Your reading comprehension is rough. Early access means the game is not fully polished and ready for the average Joe. The developer is giving those who wish to early access by buying into it. Move on with your life there are plenty of free games available if you can't afford the apparently expensive $30 buy in

The game is complete, by calling it a beta you make it feel like you are paying for a fraction of an unfinished game. But you are not, you are paying for early access to a complete game that is still being polished

I'm playing it through Gamepass on my Laptop and I bought it on the Switch. The Switch version does struggle a bit but honestly not as bad as you'd think. I think when you are ready feel free to get it on the Switch and your cloud save will work on it.

Switch Only gamers are use to waiting. Most games that are cross platform the switch version comes out last.

You act like they are the first developer to have an early access version of their game up for sale. This is a common practice and again no one has a gun to your head telling you to drop $30+ on it. You can wait until 2023 and play for free. The World is much better when there are options for every type of gamer.

It means I am an impatient gamer who wanted immediate access to the f2p game they are still developing. It's not the first early access game I pay to play and it won't be the last. I am also apart of the official Discord channel for the game.

However if you have Xbox Game Pass, the game is included at no additional cost in there, has cloud backup and the backup does work on the Switch version when it becomes available for free.

I tried this game out for free in early access through Xbox game pass on my PC and enjoyed it so much I backed up my save to the cloud it provides and bought the $29.99 Switch edition and am still enjoying it

I've been gaming since 1986, and I actually tried the game out on Xbox Game Pass (it's included at no additional cost), and it's surprisingly fun. It does have a cloud save system, so I will buy into the early access on the Switch and simply bring my save over.

If they spent this much time and energy into make sure their games were buggy and awful maybe we could get a good Sonic game again

If you bothered to look at what you are paying for, it's early access to the game yes, but also exclusive cosmetics for the game. This is how they are monetizing this free to play game, is having fancier cosmetics for sale.

Sega is worth 3.6 billion so a few big budget bad decisions can cause them to either abandon properties or even worse

I don't care what journalists say about the game. I do care about the hundreds of dollars the Sonic Team has robbed me of by producing one broken turd after another. I look at their entire line of work and set my expectations as low as humanly possible.

If I'm wrong and the game isn't a broken under baked mess I'll be the first one to admit I'm wrong and purchase the Super Gold Digital Edition

I just played and beat Cult of the Lamb and had a great time. It was my 329th game on my Switch. So I do enjoy an assortment of games, but I also get annoyed watching a franchise I grew up with getting beat up

Again a demo in a small slice of the game heavily curated by Sonic Team and Sega. It's not the final product or full game. My faith in the project is that they will not be able to make a full game without it being bland, and full of game breaking bugs
