@TysonQ7 Wishful thinking on my part, I guess. I just feel that there's a lot of great people working on romhacks right now, and I think Nintendo could build a lot of support by giving that community a more legitimate way to do what they do.
@TheDreamingHawk
What if the only game of that particular dev I'm interested in wasn't released in my region? What if no game by that dev was released in my region?
Edit: Also, your point about self-made games brings up something I wanted to mention: Nintendo(and other devs) should be more open in embracing game modding and such.
@TheDreamingHawk Why would people not be against region lock? It prevents people from importing games from other regions, which means that if a game you wanted to play wasn't released in your region, too bad, so sad.
@Tyeforce Not really. Most of the VC games come in the same emulator, only being changed/updated if they need to emulate some piece of hardware that wasn't emulated properly in the original emulator.
If Nintendo was better about releasing games on the VC and didn't region lock their systems, there'd be less of an excuse for people to hack their systems.
The home console market will probably die at some point. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. That said, I don't think that we're quite there yet, so I think Nintendo is fine keeping their console business going for now.
I've known about this for a while. Best thing to do to clean the contacts would be to wipe them with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol(make sure it dries before you put the cart back in, though) or opening the cart and cleaning it with a soft white eraser.
If it's as light as the CC pro, then I won't mind. "Squishy buttons" makes me wonder if the buttons on the controller are supposed to be pressure sensetive.
If they had included some of the old spin-offs (like Pinball Land, Block Ball, Avalanche, Tilt 'n Tumble, etc.), then I would definitely buy this art some point. I already own most of the games on this collection, and I never cared much about art books or soundtrack CDs, so there's not much here for me.
Sony, the thing is, you need to buy two ridiculously expensive electronic things for the PS3/Vita thing to work, while with the Wii U you only need the one.
This worries me. Nintendo needs to have good online to be successful with the hardcore gaming crowd. I didn't personally used to care about online, but then I started playing SSB on Kaillera, so I'm hoping the next SSB has good online.
I really enjoy this game. It's not my favourite in the series, but it's a solid action platformer/RPG hybrid. Just because it's different doesn't mean it's bad.
I love some of the iOS haters in these comments. Because there's one or two bad/copycat games, it must mean that all games made for iOS/Android are crappy ripoffs, right?
I rather liked the events. I thought they showed off a lot of the features, and the games they showed covered most of their bases.
The only thing that would have been better was some Smash 4 footage or talk, but I understand that it's still fairly early in development and they want to avoid what happened with Brawl, where the game was delayed so much, so I wasn't really expecting anything significant from that.
@Jukilum True, but personally I like loading it via Riivolution channel better, since I can launch it right from the system menu and loading via SmashStack means losing the ability to use the Stage Builder.
I'm hoping, but not expecting, that we get some solid SSB4 details so Sakurai can put to rest all these crap rumours that have been spreading around the Internet.
@Luigifan141 Hopefully they can distinguish between pirated content and legit content. I have a softmodded Wii, but I only use it for homebrew applications, like file patchers and DVD players. If Nintendo decides to not let me transfer all f my legitimatley purchased games, I'm going to be very angry.
Of course, hackers will probably be able to find a workaround, like they always do. And pirates will keep on pirating, no matter what Nintendo does.
Y'know, a dungeon as big as Hyrule field in OoT isn't really that impressive because Hyrule Field isn't actually that big, it just feels big because of how empty it is. Now, if we were talking TP Hyrule Field size, that would be something.
@triforcepower73It wouldn't have been only $20 more - it likely would have been at least $50* added on to the price tag, possibly more. The reason Nintendo waited to release the Motion Plus technology was that they were waiting for the price of manufacturing to go down so they could release it at a lower cost.
*Edit: For the record, I honestly don't know how much extra money it would have cost to inlcude motion plus in the Wiimotes at launch. I'm just throwing out a number, and it could have been higher or lower.

Re: Game Boy Advance Games Pop Up On Nintendo Europe Press Site
If this is true, it might give me a reason to buy a 3DS. The only con is that I wouldn't be able to play my existing GBA games on my 3DS.
Re: More 3DS Download Titles Coming To Japan's eShop
Hopefully, they'll put DS games up for download as well. Edit: If this does happen, hopefully there will be a way to back up my existing DS games.

Re: North America, Here Are Your 23 Wii U Launch Titles
Pretty good. Upset about no Pikmin 3 at launch, though.
Wait a second, I though Rayman was supposed to be a launch game? WTF?
Re: Reggie Fils-Aime: "The Nintendo Power Brand is Very Strong"
There are a few E-magazines out there(like SJ Alpha), I think NP could possibly survive as one of those.

Fingers crossed....

Re: Platinum: Without Nintendo, There Would Be No Bayonetta 2
So they confirmed what everyone with half a brain cell already knew/suspected. Cool.
Re: Review: Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition (Wii)
@PixelatedPixie Metroid honestly doesn't have very many older games. If they had released a collection, it probably just would have been 4 or 5 games.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime Would Love to See GameCube Games on Wii U Virtual Console
Wario World
Resident Evil 4
Baten Kaitos & BK Origins
Metroid Prime 1&2
Chibi-Robo
MGS: Twin Snakes
Killer 7
Rogue Squadron 2
I'd also sort of like to see:
Smash Bros. Melee
Kirby Air Ride
But I'd rather we god them as HD upgrades with online play.

Re: You Can Dress Up As Zelda and Fox McCloud In Tekken Tag 2 Wii U Edition
Hopefully there are more costumes. There better be a Captain Falcon costume.
Re: Nintendo: Wii U Basic Bundle Designed To Attract Core Gamers
Yes, it's designed to attract core gamers, which is why it has less internal storage and only comes in white.
Wait....
Re: Egads, The Castlevania Movie Adaptation Is Actually Happening, Again
W.S. Anderson? Noooooooooooo! And he's adapting a game I actually care about this time!
Moviebob said it best:
"Die Hard with Dracula."
You don't need to do any more than that.

Um, yes actually. Yes there is. Just because we're not at that point yet doesn't mean it's impossible for us to get there.
Re: Sorry, But GBA Games Aren't Coming To The 3DS Virtual Console After All
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Re: Round Up: Wii U Launch Window Games
Has NL posted that new TTT2 video showing of the new Wii U modes and costumes? If not, they totally should.
Re: Project P-100 Gets a New Name: The Wonderful 101
Waaaaaaaaaaaaant.
Re: Round Up: Wii U Launch Window Games
Pretty good launch lineup IMO. Rayman Legends FTW.

@Jukilum True, but personally I like loading it via Riivolution channel better, since I can launch it right from the system menu and loading via SmashStack means losing the ability to use the Stage Builder.
Re: Wii U Price And Release Dates Confirmed
I'll wait for a price drop. I kinda want to get the NL bundle, but since I have to be cheap now I'll probably end up going for the regular bundle.
Does the Wii U support external hard drives?
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Appears At NYC Wii U Event
Oh boy I can't wait. sigh
At least this might bring some hardcores to the Wii U.

I'm hoping, but not expecting, that we get some solid SSB4 details so Sakurai can put to rest all these crap rumours that have been spreading around the Internet.

Neither, since I don't have the budget for either right now.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELIp1G4mZPE
Seriously, though, I hope it is bundled. Nobody is going to buy it if it isn't.
Edit: I personally might still buy it, but I'm on the fence. Hopefully this isn't true, or it's only true in certain regions.
Re: Metroid Blast Joins Nintendo Land Roster
Is this using Other M gameplay? Good to see they're giving the mechanics another chance, regardless of the quality of the game's story.
Re: Tekken Producer: Working With Nintendo Offers Unique Possibilities
You should be ashamed of those puns.
Mushroom for fun features...terrible.
Re: Feature: The Murky World of Anonymous Sources
@Xilef You either remember Hyrule Feild being bigger than it was or you remember most dungeons being smaller than they were.
Plus, it's very vague as to exactly what "bigger" means.

Re: More Tantalising Wii U Pricing Rumours Emerge Online

Re: Rumour: Sega Is Working On Skies of Arcadia Remake
Eh. I played the original on the Dreamcast, but i never really could get into it. Still, this is kinda cool for people who did like the original.
