@Racthet916 - No, because he specifically says that it would only work with a streaming service. He's talking about storage, which is also the only way this makes sense. It's 170GB on the PC and 104GB on PS4, so that's not going to fit on a cart, and it's going to also fill up most user's SD cards. Graphically it is no more demanding than Skyrim, so his meaning is clear, he just got mixed up and said "power" at the end when he meant something else.
They just released a mid-generation refresh, something that's never been done before, and there's still no pressing technological advancement making the current gen consoles look obsolete. At this point it will just be a raw horsepower increase, and that will net no real benefit in the games. Maybe ray-tracing will be key for the next gen, but we're a year or two off from that being really utilized right now. Also, Sony is dominating this gen and is in no hurry to take another gamble and risk losing the next gen to Xbox, as they did with the previous generation.
@Marios-love-child - If that's the limit of your vision. I don't trade in games, ever: I buy it to keep. I still have SNES and TG16 cartridges and am glad I do. While I'd much rather have physical for everything, the convenience of digital cannot be denied, especially for something like the Switch. I'd rather have all the games available on the system and not have to worry about cartridges. The only downside for me is that I don't get a physical copy to keep.
@liveswired - "It's kind of sad we will never get to see just what the Wii U is capable off - none of the technically talented developers worked on the console." - Oh but you can: Breath of the Wild is what the Wii U hardware is capable of. I'd say it's pretty substantial. The only problem with the Wii U hardware, aside from being PowerPC and thus a completely different architecture than everything else, was the small amount of memory they gave it. That they were going to give the Switch the same amount was frankly quite shocking.
@LegendOfPokemon - Plenty of power in the Wii U. It's just a different architecture that is hard to port to, these days. Code isn't optimized for PowerPC. Period.
@6ch6ris6 - As someone who's been in PC gaming for 30 years now, I can tell you it's really not. As long as it's consistently around 30fps, you're good. It's nice to have higher framerates, sure. But it's not game breaking at all to have drops here and there.
@Joenen - They didn't go to a new Hyrule, they found a new land because Hyrule was completely flooded. Nothing that happened in that line would conflict with this being in that same line, including the art style. It's not a child Link but the style is closer to the WW style, just a little more "grown up" looking. Whether the technology in this game is more advanced than trains remains to be seen.
Theory 1, but you've placed it in the wrong place on the timeline. It would go after Phantom Hourglass and would be in Hyrule which is no longer flooded. It took a long time for this to happen, and all the while we had the events of Phantom Hourglass and the inbetween leading to Spirit Tracks taking place in the new land that isn't Hyrule.
@Donutman - Mine started doing this and it turned out the air vents were clogged with dust. Been a lot better since cleaning those, not one freeze. YMMV, for what it's worth, but this game does tax the CPU and will run it little hotter than most games.
@Peach64 - Who's going to report sales number of Wii U vs. Vita? Nobody is interested in that and it's not something that often comes up. It's not even a question that Vita has sold much, much less. It's frankly astonishing to see someone try to argue otherwise, not just because it's absurd to claim Vita has outsold anything besides Virtual Boy, but because: who really cares?

Incredible to see so many claiming that PS5 is coming next year, when we've known for months that it's not coming until 2021:

Yes, upon initial release. The Wii U version is now just as updated as the others, one of which was to increase the world size.
Re: Minecraft: Wii U Edition Update Adds Achievements, Wii Classic Controller Support and More
@Peace-Boy - The world size is the same. It was initially smaller because it was an update behind.
