Re: Nintendo's Upcoming Switch Online NES Titles Include Donkey Kong Jr., VS. Excitebike And Clu Clu Land

@AugustusOxy this is what I always think of when I read complaints about this service. Why would anyone beg to be able to purchase these games a la carte when it’s TWENTY DOLLARS A YEAR to play as much as you want?!?!?

Especially since,as you mentioned, you’re really paying to be able to play Splatoon online, and again,it’s a tiny fraction of what you’d pay on either of the other two platforms

@OorWullie genius. This is how I feel at 39 years old. I have the Atari Classics collection on my PS4 hard drive,as well as Dig Dug,etc. I have the NES and SNES classics, may buy the Genesis one,and a plug n play Pac-Man (for the joystick).

Anything else I can play on Switch online,or DL on the PS store. In the future, most stuff I want will probably be on whatever the new thing is. I DL a lot of today’s games, because quite frankly I won’t care much about Overwatch in 10 years. Heck, after I beat Mario Odyssey I hardly touched it again.

@Yosher lol “puts you out of the real world too much” sounds like something a soccer mom would say about video games after Oprah said they were bad.

Also you’re going to be so immersed and Gesturing so wildly playing cardboard elephant that you’re going to break stuff? Come on,dude, how old are you?

@SwitchForce Why are people on this site so hung up on the “physical vs download” thing? I go to a bunch of different sites and no one else cares that 20 dollar shovel ware comes on download instead of cartridge these days.
I understand buying physical on the “real” games for storage reasons and trade in value, but how many games on this list would that be applicable to?

@dougphisig are you having a lot of fun playing Smash online? I am!

It’s TWENTY DOLLARS for a YEAR. I don’t understand why people don’t see the value. If you can afford a switch and games you can afford 20 bucks. If you and a friend went to McDonald’s you’d spend 20 bucks. It’s not a large amount of money.
