The Switch is just a Wiiu/2 you say?..... Did you not watch the Switch reveal months ago??? Nintendo made it very, very clear that the Switch has 'borrowed' from all its past consoles to create the Switch, so yeah, in ways it is a Wiiu/2........also a Wii/2, a N64/2, a GC/2 etc etc etc, so well done for noticing exactly what Nintendo had planned to create, congratulations for understanding what Nintendo said they have done.

Ive just been in Game and seen my preorder Switch and Zelda and accessories with my own eyes then had to come home without them till midnight

How long is the cable on the AC charger?
Seeing as its apparently a pain to have to unplug the AC adapter from the dock each time you want to charge the switch on the go, and that it needs to be a decent "right" charger to play n charge as it draws a lot of power to actually play and charge....... So cable length could be an issue? Any decent 3rd party charges available with sufficient power etc as £25-£28 a pop for the Nintendo AC charger is pricey......

On a side note, does anyone, or any mods no anything about the online phone app business yet please?.... I mean, ive got a windows phone, is the online phone app going to be one of these android/ios only nonsence apps?.... and if it is android/ios only, then do we need a certain version onwards of android/ios for the app to work on?..... Is this another hidden cost for some of us or not??? Cos new phones on top of a new console isn't cheap and its something we need to know etc etc................

– Aonuma “wanted players to choose their own path”, so no companion character in this game
– Stamina meter encompasses sprinting, paragliding, climbing
– Meter can be upgraded, but Nintendo won’t say how

I think gaming needs a mix tho, be boring otherwise. Theres certain genres of games I just wont go near, even tho they look and sound amazing, just because they are not my "thing", but I totally respect that other gamers love them, its all good

True, the stories are a personal thing, ive played good games from both sides with good stories but for me, a good Japanese story has the edge.
Really cant wait for the Breath of the Wild stories, the old and new intertwining, seeing Beedle again, using the slate for your dungeon map and binoculars etc, keeping horses in your stables, be strange seeing them get killed tho?......yellow hearts??? Think its going to be a visit to Game at midnight launch for me

Personally ive been playing Nintendo since 1984, never had the need to play any other consoles, until about a year ago, when I got a PS4, purely because I was sick of Nintendo constantly delaying Zelda. Anyway, what Ive found and seen is the controls and cameras etc in games like Zelda and Mario are second to none, the western developers cant seem to come close in my eyes in that sense, ive played loads of western games and they just don't come close to the silky smooth controls and cameras in Zelda etc, if anything, these western developers just seem to be obsessed with graphics and power, which is a huge shame really. Also the stories in the Japanese games are way superior too.........

Hey, are Nintendo releasing some new style E-shop top up cards for the Switch?

2 Switches preordered just to make sure I at least get 1 launch day. BOTW LE from Nintendo store uk so I get the T-shirt too, screen protector, messenger bag, joy con charger, extra plug charger, 2 of the wrist strap things for the joy cons, BOTW LE screen protector with BOTW joy con decals and Zelda thumb grips included, pro controller, BOTW ear plugs, most likely a couple of extra usb-c cables? Most likely stick some credit on the Eshop for some hopefully new VC goodness. Already have a few micro sd cards, maybe buy a larger capacity one later? Plus the day booked off work to sit in my new BOTW T-shirt and play BOTW on the new Switch....... simply cant wait........
February is the shortest month of the year but boy is it gonna feel like the longest.............................

Nintendo has assured fans that they will have 2 million consoles available worldwide during the first month.
The company didn’t specify how many of those will be available on March 3rd when the console launches.
But if Japan is any indication, the Switch is in high demand and you might have a hard time getting one on launch day if you haven’t pre-ordered it.

The Nintendo Switch is doing pretty well when it comes to pre-orders in Japan. According to Japanese publication Media Create, 80% of the initial shipment has been sold through pre-orders.
Which means that only 20% are left to those who haven’t pre-ordered and are hoping to buy one on launch date. Which pretty much guarantees shortages on launch day.

OMG................... By tech I mean everything inside it, it will have a pc board inside it with components on it, totally drawn up, made, produced from scratch, go make it yourself and produce it if you can do it better and cheaper.......................Christ, for this console its all new architecture everything.......... they didn't magic it all out of thin air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And if your concerns of tech are all based on the HD rumble then think again, its there for developers to use if they wish, nearly every game I play includes rumble in some way, including the PS4...............................

Fanboy? lmao I'm nearly 47, I wasn't into the Switch at first, totally going into it with my eyes wide open........ Its new tech with a lot of resources behind it hence the cost, its the first Nintendo console in absolutely yrs with no backwards compatibility, new engine, new controllers etc etc etc yet people are expecting miracles in price, get real, things cost money, Nintendo are a business, if you aint happy with the price, go buy something else, not rocket science is it!!!................

I cant defend their decision lol, why the hell would I want to?..... Ok then, put it another way, why are people paying for ps+ and lIve etc then? Seeing as you obviously have no clue what Nintendo are doing.......
