One of the rather pleasing extras in the upcoming Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World is a wide range of short stop-motion films featuring the core characters. We've shared some over recent weeks, and they're undeniably charming.
Nintendo has shared a rather neat behind-the-scenes video showing the company behind the series, Dwarf, doing their work. As you can see, animation of this style is rather painstaking work.
There's also an official feature article outlining the process.
Based on those we've seen so far, we'd suggest that the effort has been worthwhile.

That's amazing!
And adorable!
I LOVE them..the videos are what forced me to double dip for the 3ds port.
It's an excellent game on WiiU though..so I'm happy to support Yoshi
Yoshi, so happy!!!
So, are Image and Form bringing out a 'Rusty' Amiibo???
..nice..and I thought dominos took patience..
@remag What does that have to do with Poochy?
Amuses me greatly.
I have always enjoyed stop-motion and claymation. I can't wait until Friday!
Sugoi da na !
@Mega_Yarn_Poochy The names Poochy and Rusty both end with the letter 'y'. Duh.
@BAN Poochy is miles better than Rusty.
@Mega_Yarn_Poochy Well I was making a joke, but yes, I agree.
Wow I thought at least parts of it had been made on computers, but damn Nintendo really put a lot into these little shorts. Might explain why they seem to have come out so adorable
I have to admit, those were lovely. Very cute!
