Re: Review: Gear.Club Unlimited 2 - Sluggish Controls Force This Real-World Racer Off The Track

Steering in this game is digital, even with the analogue stick. The longer you hold the left or right direction buttons or the analogue stick, the sharper you turn. The only thing the analogue stick seems to do is make the turning faster, but if you hold the analogue stick slightly in one direction, you will start steering sharper and sharper until you let go.

The only way to get proper steering is to enable motion and use the controller as a steering wheel. The game is so much better this way. It's just unfortunate that the game will not allow you to use a single joycon in a Mario Kart wheel and that is my biggest complaint with it.

Also, they are asking too much for the game.

@BulbasaurusRex the dirty tricks and injuries/death add to the strategy. People expecting Madden are going to take a while to warm up to it. For one, if you suspect the ref has been bribed by the other team (dirty trick) because it seems like you are being unnecessarily penalized, you need to decide if you want to call a play that kills the ref (dirty trick) to get rid of the potentially bribed ref and take a penalty for it.....If you are wrong, you've taken a needless penalty.

@rockodoodle true, though I have a hard time rating it as high as some major titles because the level of effort doesn't need to be nearly as high as a game like BOTW or Red Dead Redemption 2. Then again, I think many games are overrated compared to games like that and if just comparing it to other sports games, I'd be going much higher. I think I might like Mutant Football more than Mario Tennis.
