I highly doubt this is real. People on Reddit do this kind of thing to farm karma all the time. My suggestion to you is, disregard anything you see or read on Reddit.
No matter what happens at the presentation, one thing that is guaranteed is there will be a metric crap-ton of bitching and complaining from the most whiny, spoiled, entitled, unappreciative, and impossible-to-please fanbase in all of the known world.
Now I'm convinced that the Harvest Moon hatefest is not at all justified and stems mainly from some weird sense of brand/developer loyalty. This looks fine... not spectacular, but not terrible. In fact, it looks every bit as good or better than whatever Marvelous has being doing with the so-called "real Harvest Moon" series lately. Stop irrationally bashing the game at least until you've actually played it.
This entire thing has turned out to be bogus. Time to print a retraction article. There is no "save wiping bug" and there never was. All of you internet journos really jumped the gun (as usual).
It's pretty obvious by now that this "Save Bug" is either a straight-up HOAX, or the Redditor that started this entire s***storm screwed up his save file by hacking or other dubious means, and wanted to blame GF for the his stupidity. Keep in mind that, to date, there is NOT ONE SINGLE VIDEO OR SCREENSHOT DOCUMENTING A SUPPOSED CORRUPTED/DELETED SAVE FILE other than the one video sent to Austin John Plays from the OP himself, which itself is very odd because you'll notice in the video that he gets the unrecognized save message before it even reaches the title screen. This same behavior can be recreated if you are using a poorly hacked game card. The "Corrupted save data detected" IS NOT THE SAME ERROR as the "Save data in the Nintendo Switch couldn't be recognized" which is the error the OP was seeing. The former can happen for a number of reasons (including but not limited to inferior quality or failing SD cards), and is not unique to Pokemon S/V. I'd be willing to bet that a vast majority of the people reporting the save bug were receiving the "corrupted data error," which is far more common, than the "save data couldn't be recognized" error. Face it: The Reddit guy that started all of this foolishness was hacking his game and paid the ultimate price for being a cheating loser. Case closed.
Let's not forget, back when Sword/Shield were first released, there were reports all over the internet about a bug causing the games to brick Switch consoles. Reddit threads were created on the topic, Tweets were tweeted, YT videos were created. Turned out to be crappy quality SD cards causing the issue, and had nothing to do with the games themselves. If you go back and look, there's even an old Nintendo Life article about it. Subtitle of that article: THE DRAMA NEVER STOPS.
@Jeronan We have approximately 12 unverified and vague reports, all from Redditors, about this supposed "bug." All are lacking in details beyond "Yeah dude the same thing happened to me" and I have a feeling about half of the people reporting the bug are using modded consoles with boxes full of hacked Pokemon. The OP (the dude that started the whole s***storm) has made about a hundred Reddit posts about it. He literally monitors the thread 24/7 and reports to every single post within minutes. He even created an entirely new Twitter profile to address the story. None of this seems suspect to you?
@Chocobo_Shepherd Best post in the thread. The number of people losing saves is statistically insignificant. Yes, it sucks when it's YOU, but let's not lose perspective. Also, GO still sucks and everyone should avoid it.
@solarwolf07 I will never understand that game, or its popularity. It's enormously shallow and boring. There's no real strategy involved, no random battles, and raids/gym battles come down to simply swiping your screen as fast as you can. No EV/IV training, no breeding (unless you count finding a random egg), no fun testing out new and unusual builds for your Pokemon. I hate the "Go-style" catching mechanic that has unfortunately bled into console games. I hate the fact that they FORCE you to connect to Go in order to complete certain objectives or catch certain Pokemon in the console games. They took everything fun about Pokemon and condensed it into a crappy mobile cash grab for normies to play while standing at the bus stop or in line at Kroger. I hate it hate it HATE IT!
Yet another reason to avoid Pokemon GO entirely. What a trash game. I wish it would GO away already. It has done enough damage to the franchise as it is.
Still pissed at US Customs for confiscating my Pokemon ramen noodle bowls I ordered from Japan a couple years ago. Apparently it contained some sort of meat-based product in the flavoring powder that was illegal to important. They straight up take your ***** and destroy it, and to add insult to injury, they write you a little letter scolding you for it and letting you know that they could prosecute you if they wanted to. I hate them.
$75 for the standard edition is absurd. SqEnix can get the f outta here with that. And before anyone says that's a "good deal" for all 6 games, the price they are asking on Steam for these 30 year old games is insulting as well. They should be $5 tops.
@FroZtedFlakerZz Users who link their Nintendo Network ID wallet (used with Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems) with their Nintendo Account wallet (used with the Nintendo Switch family of systems) can use the shared balance to purchase content on any of these systems until March 27, 2023. After that, the balance can only be used to purchase content for the Nintendo Switch family of systems.
@Mattock1987 The concept was entirely different. The graphics were similar but not so similar that I would call it a "blatant rip-off." I would never have confused this Zoo-themed game for Stardew Valley. Yes, IMO the creator of SV was being a jerk and should have been flattered instead of pitching a childish fit.
I was interested until I read it was a co-op thing. No thank you. I only play single-player JRPGs. I know it says you can play it "alone" but these types of games that are geared for co-op play always end up being tedious to play in solo mode.
Oh, so we're not allowed to criticize stuff anymore because we might hurt the creator's precious feelings? Give me a break! I was one of those that immediately disliked the art style and I stand by my initial impression. Weird, angular, overly-stylized, soulless and just plain UGLY — looks like some Cartoon Network garbage. Maybe the game will be good, but it won't be because of the beautiful art style.

Re: Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack Switch Western Release Cancelled
Glad I bought the JP import from VGP. All games have English language options. I suggest buying a copy from them.

No support for Limited Run. I really hate this trash company and wish someone else would do these physical release. Oh well, digital it is.

@Chocobo_Shepherd I can't help but think that there is a tad bit of "piling on" going on here also. No one hates Pokemon more than Pokemon fans.

@Jeronan The fact still stands, no one would be losing their save if they hadn't connected to GO for the stupid Vivillon gimmick . F*** go.
