I genuinely do not understand that hate for this game's "difficulty." They want you to play the game that they want to make. The game is NOT hard, the game FORCES the player to be PATIENT. It gives you tools to cheese fights if you want to (like the poison /drone combos). You don't have to be a masterclass gamer, just learn patience.
@Spider-Kev You just have to release the ones you don't want, I spent like 3 hours last night organizing box space for living dex, saving all the furfuro (spelling?) and each color of flabebe' and a box for alphas. But, yeah, you have to just suffer, sadly.
@iLikeUrAttitude No, THIS one has a lack of analog triggers :/ the original had it, which is what made Sunshine so pleasant and the skill ceiling for Melee so high.
@Anachronism I have 3 kids who all game. When the switch 2 lite comes out, it's nice to have physical games to trade around. I'll buy one copy of Mario Kart World, and 1 copy of Bananza and they can trade around
@Pak-Man Yeah, I have over $4k in Switch 1 physical games. It's the only thing I've ever really collected. I don't know how to feel about these either.
@Oracles_fanboi They are a corporation. They exist to make money, yeah we enjoy their games, but if you don't like it don't buy it. I won't be buying the bundle because I want my games physically. If the don't offer a version of a game that comes completely on the cartridge, I won't buy it.
Kirby Air Riders is the most exciting announcment that Nintendo has made, imo, in 20 years. I am going to buy that game. I don't care if that game alone was $500. It's worth it to me, because I want to have that experience with my children. If it isn't worth it to you, at $40, $60, $70, $80. Don't buy it. Nintendo won't bat an eye. But if enough people vote with their wallets. They may change it? But I doubt it.
@Coversnail by volume, maybe. By consequence to the party afflicted? Not by a long shot. Sega went out of the console wars because the dreamcast was a pirates dream machine. It was as easy as copy and burn (except for a few) and they literally made next to nothing in software.
Switch is doing very well regardless of any pirating involved. Not saying it's right or not, but I am saying that, they can let it go, this close to switch 2, and still have switch be the best selling console of all time.
@its_luke_c It's about being able to play the game in 30 years. I have every 1st party switch games, and I, my wife and 3 kids all have a switch (I have 2)
But, just like my NES that doesn't work but half the time now, these too will fail, when that happens, without emulation, we are at the whims of Nintendo to continue to provide a way for us to play the games. I don't condone piracy, but at the same time, development of these emulators needs to be done asap to ensure compatibility. Bug reports for a switch emulator (which is in high demand) can get worked through much faster while the system is still out vs 15 years down the road when we are looking at the switch 3, at that time it'd be a little harder to test things.
@Druidsbrook This. I really enjoyed TemTem and I think a lot of people would have but didn't give it a chance because it's a "Pokemon Clone." No! It's a game inspired by Pokemon. The Pokemon Company will not do the things that the consumers want so other developers are trying to fill those roles.
And this game looks like a lot of fun despite being a mismatch of many different genres.
@Vivianeat I don't know, this is more in line with 'Pokemon: The Power of Us' and I really liked that. The promo art is more like sun and moon, but I watched the first two episodes and it looks a lot better in motion.
@Hayter This is what I was thinking. I want just about everything they've put out but I have 3 kids and a full time job. It's all I can do to get through one game a month, and they are not the only developer I care about either :/
The marketing nightmare it would have taken to adjust material and scheduling was a calculated risk that they were willing to take. They knew that it was going to be the biggest ever just based on the Switch's install base. If/when people complained about the performance, they can put this patch on that they were likely working on before the launch of the game. Then it shows their "goodwill" and that they are "listening" I highly doubt that they started on this only after the game came out unless there was some kind of egregious oversight that somehow made it through QA

Re: Where To Pre-Order Kirby Air Riders For Nintendo Switch 2 + New amiibo
@HugoGED It's Sakurai's style. I prefer the original, but if this is what he wants, meh. let him have it.
