After its initial reveal back in April, Kirby Air Riders raced to its worldwide release on 20th November 2025.
The Masahiro Sakurai-developed sequel is absolutely bonkers, earning an 8/10 in our review, where we called it "a cracking sequel" with "depth for those who wish to learn and plenty of competition to be had".

Buy Kirby Air Riders
Here is a range of outlets offering Kirby Air Riders on Switch 2 in the US and UK. My Nintendo Store UK has several bundles available with Kirby plushies, and every pre-order comes with a "Reusable Cup".
Buy Kirby Air Riders with eShop Credit
If you're going digital, then good news, because you can grab yourself some eShop credit right here for Kirby Air Riders. In the UK, the digital version costs £58.99 - that's £8 cheaper than the physical copy.
Obviously, make sure you apply the credit to the account you're using to purchase the game, but otherwise, you're good to go!
Buy Kirby & Warp Star and Bandana Waddle Dee & Winged Star amiibo
Finally, the game launched alongside a new line of Kirby amiibo. These feature two elements, the rider and their vehicle, which can be mixed and matched with others in the line for in-game effects.
Those two parts bump the price up considerably, too — each Kirby Air Riders amiibo set will retail for $49.99 / £33.99. Kirby and Waddle Dee arrived alongside the game on 20th November, with more coming down the line.

Costco will likely have this at a good discount. I'll just wait and see.
That logo... so uninspired, specially compared to the original Kirby Air Ride.
Hoping theres a good pre order bonus for one of these. Otherwise im going to wait untill I can get it at a discount.
I dunno how to hotlink images, but it sure does look https://wikirby.com/wiki/Bonkers .
Removed - unconstructive
@HugoGED the “art” in box art has been dead for a while. It’s sad.
That price is insane.
Can’t wait to get this GOTY!

Just remove the quotation marks inside the brackets, I added them because otherwise the site would think I'm actually trying to add an image. Here's how it would look without the brackets:

I hope Costco offers a discount like with DK. I won't spend $70 on a game
Got my preorder in at Best Buy. I have so many reward points from my initial Switch 2 purchase plus picking up my best friend’s Switch 2 when it was restocked when DK Bananza released that I got Bananza and Air Riders for virtually nothing, plus I still have enough points left for two more games, one being Metroid Prime 4, undecided if I want to pick up Pokemon Z-A at launch or wait and get Hyrule Warriors as my other almost free game
@HammerGalladeBro Thank you so much!
its 80€ here in Germany, I'm not paying that for any game but especially not for a game that looks to be this shallow. Like it looks fun but more like 40€ fun
I get they want to make it clear that it's for Switch 2, but aren't these boxes ugly? The Wii U boxes look like art pieces in comparison.
@HugoGED
The entire cover, as well as the logo, looks generic and uninspired. But I guess modern Nintendo really hates colours, that's why they only sell black or white Pro Controllers.
@kioskwitch from Nintendo directly (and physical) yes, but Mediamarkt has it for 69,99 (at least here in Austria). Is/was the same with DK Bananza.
I already preordered the game the other day at Best Buy along with the Tales of Xillia remaster.
This should've been a 20$ Mario Kart DLC
They should have let me design the game art and also the game should be $20 and where’s the waiter my coffee is too hot 🙄
@ear_wig I want to speak to your manager. Do you know who I am? I will destroy you in my review. Refund me or I C&D.
@ear_wig @Wewewi You both really don't understand the true potential of Kirby Air Riders. This is going to be a full experience and is well worth the price, especially with Sakurai behind the helm. But hey, if you don't wanna buy it, you don't have to you can just vote with your wallets.
Games are just gonna be $70 for the Switch 2 console generation. That's just how it is as it's the modern standard for gaming prices. Considering the $60 price was set back around 2007 and the rising cost of game development, $70 is not too inflated of a price to pay for a AAA experience. Not all $70 games are deserving of their price tag though and there are cheaper games that definitely should be worth more (like Hollow Knight at $15).
Probably will preorder at best buy. I never played the original. Ive honestly never played a Kirby game before. My wife pre-ordered forgotten lands for me so that will be first kirby game I play next next week
@Finalzero it’s the Disney-fication of a games company. It’s sad to watch. They seem like a different company than they were 10 years ago.
Is the physical a game-key release?
@Axecon Boy howdy you really missed my sarcasm there… yikes… I have the game preordered lol
Let me know when its $29.99
@HugoGED So many companies seem to want to push a mundane and boring minimalism in their art which is just sad. They must be afraid of overstimulating all us adults.
@Axecon Regardless of quality or content quantity; I just think people have no stomach for another full price mascot racer on Switch 2 atm. Should've been pushed to 2026 at the very least.
@rexbinary I think that Nintendo doesn't use key cards for their own games.
@tho_mi yeah I was checking german Amazon, MediaMarkt doesnt have it yet here at least. Im going to try to buy physical editions when I can but 80 is just too much imo
Sounds awesome! I'm extremely excited for this game!
@HugoGED It's Sakurai's style. I prefer the original, but if this is what he wants, meh. let him have it.
@Lone_Beagle Costco has it up for preorder now for $64.99 (US) shipped. Hopefully it'll be in the warehouses on release day too.
