Did anyone notice that fourth character running around at about 23 seconds? There are a lot of comments here, so maybe someone has already pointed that out..

Will Iwata have facetime on the west coast? I'm under the impression that he won't? I like hearing from him. I also like it when he does this:

@RetroRider I wouldn't mind a demo of some of those games that are nearing completion... you know, downloadable right after the announcement and what not. I know Nintendo isn't too big on demos, though. BUT a 1 level mario kart demo would actually be pretty smart.

I think, given the dismal January reports and Iwata's new strategies, we could use a good surprise or two...

This is great... makes me wish we had the next season of Attack on Titan AND the next installment of SSB. Someone somewhere should start throwing a lot of money at this guy.

My one question, and maybe this hasn't been made clear yet - but will it be gamepad only play? I would love to have the top screen play on my TV while having the gamepad work as the touch screen.

I like the gamepad... but more importantly, from a marketing analyst standpoint, the gamepad makes the wii u more accessible to my kids. Even if it's just my 3 year old turning on the Wii U (and the TV) from the gamepad, going to netflix, and then touching an image of a character he likes, there's some real market value in targeting my demographic.

Wait... will this be announced directry to us?

You know what? This was a good video - I think it did a great job showing the otherside of all the negative hype generated towards the Wii U last year, showing some actually really great titles.

X is my number 1, though. Hopefully that comes out this year...

Was pretty bummed that they didn't have multiplayer virus buster.. that's pretty much the reason we bought it.. but. it's still fun.

There are tell tale signs that this is a very early build. Think back to the Link Between Worlds reveal, and even the Skyword Sword reveal - they at the very least had a working title graphic and some other concept art to show, but here they really don't seem to have much more than the game engine and some early areas made, outside of a new link model.

All that's to say... definitely worth getting excited over and keeping an eye out for. Let's use some sobriety, amigos.

@Dreamcaster-X I agree! It looked like they had a TON of content done, and that was almost a year ago. Even if it wasn't a release date, though.. I'd be happy to at least get a new trailer, maybe some story details.

I always wonder why they don't ever showcase the 3DSXL in these kinds of promo photos or offscreen footage... I know there's definitely a matter of preference factoring into it, but I honestly don't think I would've bought a 3DS had the XL not come out.

And @Blue_Yoshi let's see some sonic and knuckles action. I agree.

This has always seemed like a return to what made the Final Fantasy series great, almost a return to the original formula just under a different franchise. I think that's sort of a great way to keep the spirit of a genre going for a company, but I would love to see final fantasy return to this sort of strategy and exploration oriented game, rather than what it's become. I mean... this LOOKS like Final Fantasy to me. If I was transported into the future from the mid 90's I would think that this was the future of the franchise.

Side note... I'd love to see the FFIV sequel released on the 3DS instead of just on the iOS exclusively.

My 3 year old watches this on Netflix. I watched it on TV when I was his age.

This is actually a really fun game. Great way to get my kids into Zelda... most 3 year olds can swing the wii remote at bokobins.

I was wondering why there hasn't been a lot of Reggie news, lately.... apparently he's been readying his body for this big adventure.

While they seem to have most of the world built out... and maybe this is just wishful thinking (aka the awakening of the 5 year old in me, dialoging with the 26 year old that I am today), wouldn't it be pretty mind blowing if they included a link to the past in 3D? As a second quest of sorts? I mean, they're getting back to their roots, here... the second quest added a ton of replay value to the original NES release.

Welp... my just-turned-three-year-old can swing a Wii remote around and help his mom and dad defeat bokobins and moblins in Nintendo Land... and that's exactly why we opted for a Wii U. I'm looking forward to picking this up and going through it with him. I decided that OOT wasn't a great game for him to watch (yet) after venturing into future Hyrule, especially now that we're on the cusp of the shadow temple... which is still freaky, even after all these years. He's seen me play Wind Waker on the Gamecube but that was some time ago.

Anyways. Good stuff. I'm always surprised at how many people get offended on these gamer forums, btw. Someone's offended by that kid's heart warming journal entry? Strange. You're weird, internet.

Not gonna lie... was looking forward to co-op with my wife. Any game that I trick my wife into playing would get at least a 9 in my book.

This seems more 16bit than 8... but it's pretty neat.

I didn't even know anyone on wii u played multiplayer... I still haven't, till this day, been able to join a game or find a game... I wonder if that's an issue on my end?
