Re: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Are Out Today On Switch, Which Version Are You Getting?

@Gamer_Zeus Nothing about this is flowing over my head, because that's not how it works.
You are perfectly capable of buying these games whether they have an automatic Exp. Share or not. Obviously the Exp. Share isn't something you want in these games, so you choose to skip them. And that's fine. I'm not saying it's bad to skip these games. I understand that you're passing on them because of the Exp. Share, but it's not "forcing" you to skip them because of it. I really don't know what lead to this way of thinking.

You haven't been "forced" to do anything. You just choose not to buy these games because the automatic Exp. Share isn't something you like.

@Gamer_Zeus To be honest, I never saw a problem with Exp. Share in the first place. For me, it made things far less tedious.
And I wasn't talking about the Exp. Share being forced. I was talking about it being ridiculous that you're being forced not to buy these games. You're not. You either want these games or you don't.
But if you don't want to play these games, there's nothing wrong with that. And when I said that this whole thing depresses me, I was talking to Yosher, not you.

Oh, I'm not trying to argue anything. All I want is to let people know how I feel about this sort of thing. And the thing is I want to have a good time, but I also want people (not referring to you) to not berate fans for playing them. It's no fun being called a "sheep" or a "bootlicker" or an "apologist". I just want to play Pokemon. That's all. No agendas, no obligations, none of that.

@Yosher I never said money grew on trees. And it doesn't go like "oh, maybe I will like this game after all if I just give it a try even though it's a very small chance". It's a matter of going into something with an open mind and a positive attitude, provided you choose to spend money. No one is demanding you buy these games. That's entirely your choice, and I understand why you don't want to.
I'm sorry, this just really depresses me...
