Probably not gonna be getting this but gosh do I love this box art~
something about a TON of characters in an artwork in many of different styles is just so cool. Big reason why I vastly prefer the japanese box art for lots of retro games, they usually nail that vibe.
Been getting super into Sonic these past weeks, so I'll be playing Sonic 1 on Genesis and Sonic Mania on Switch! Never found sonic to be fun in the past, but recently something just clicked and I absolutely love it now.
@PikminMarioKirby Yes!!! I completely forgot about that! I remember seeing that and thinking man that would make for a stellar 'mew under the truck'-style video game mystery if those were still around.
With how much Nintendo pushes Pikmin 4 in marketing, I think it’s inevitable that a switch 2 edition is on the way, either next spring or they announce it in a june direct and it comes out this fall.
I think Metroid Dread, Mario Wonder and Splatoon 3 are also really good candidates for a switch 2 edition, though that’s really just a guess.
I’ll be playing Star Wars Bounty Hunter via game trials! It’s a pretty fun game so far and… it’s… s soulslike??? kinda? not really but it has a dodge roll so kinda?
Probably gonna finish up Metroid Dread this weekend with some Balatro sprinkled in there,. I've finally playing Balatro and it has been so much fun, if I would have played it in 2024 it absolutely would have been my game of the year.
Other than that I might start a new game if I end up finishing Dread... not sure what though. Trying to bring down the number of games in the backlog in preparation for Switch 2.
I thought it was pretty great! Tomodachi Life and Rhythm Heaven are awesome suprises, Metroid Prime 4 trailer is pretty neat, I think those alone bump it up to like, at least a 7 right?
Patapon collection (and hot shots golf) is also really cool, super neat seeing Sony franchises on Nintendo Switch!
I think that there's no way this DOESN'T get a Switch 2 release. It's a great game to push mouse functionality with the new console (it being a first person shooter and all), plus the game could really show the graphical upgrade from Switch 1 to Switch 2.
While yes Metroid is not a big franchise, I have a feeling that Beyond will be Metroid's Pikmin 4, where Nintendo heavily promotes it with a lot of advertising, in order to really make Metroid a mainstay Nintendo IP. Then if it was at the beginning of a console launch then that almost guarantees that it will get a lot of attention.
With CoD coming to the switch 2 (maybe possibly definitely perhaps), I wonder if the whole reason this is here is cause of that. Outside of Splatoon, I can't really think of any first party Nintendo games that would benefit from this.
This is actually super cool! I’ve never read the manga before but I am interested in doing so. I do hope they make this available in the west as it seems like a neat little release : D

Re: The Best Nintendo Switch 2 Games
I’m very very happy to see silksong at number 1 here, but I haven’t played Bananza yet so, maybe that game is better.
Nah, there’s not way. Silksong is AMAZING. It will probably drop down some ranks eventually but happy to see it so high now.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Chibi-Robo!: Park Patrol
I'll pick japan's because I like the light and bubbly feel but both are really solid honestly!
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The Switch 2's Next Exclusive 'Drag x Drive'?
Nah. I got my fill with the demo. Im glad it’s relatively cheap though for the people who do want it!

And some Balatro of course.
Re: Nintendo Devs Reveal Some Big eShop Improvements On Switch 2
Yay! Some good news to bring the hype and excitement back after the $70/80 price announcements! This eShop looks wonderful, hope it works well.
Re: Video: Metroid Prime 4 Looks Great, But Here's Why The Latest Trailer Isn't Switch 2 Footage
It looks dang good for a Switch 1 game. Specifically that one shot with all the leaves blowing everywhere.
Re: Round Up: The First Impressions Of The Minecraft Movie Are In
Aw hell yeah I figured this movie would be bad but at the same time very fun, which is what i’m getting from these reviews.
I actually am kinda excited to see it.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct Predictions - What Do You Want To See?
Prime 2 and 3 remasters is basically all i’m hoping for outta this direct, this is a awesome surprise!!!
Re: Rumour: Latest Switch 2 Theory Suggests Release Date Might Be Right Around The Corner
I think May 22nd would work really well too, since memorial day weekend and 22nd, 2 2, Switch **2**!!
But early June is probably more likely, May does seem a bit soon after the direct in April...

Still really cool, glad to have it!
