@Prosdy - somebody should make sure it goes into metacritic... might push it from 89 to 90 (also fix that link on the right). anyway, I haven't played this one, and I don't own any of these peripherals. I think it's a fun concept, but once I tried it, I have no interest in getting better in such a thing.. I think it's a real waste of time.

@Oregano - I think they decided to keep it Wii exclusive with a DS version. Good idea and makes sense. Can't wait for it.

I think Sony might just end up not releasing the Move. It just makes Sony look like a joke. They need to come up with something else. There will also not be any ports. There was some speculation about Dead Space Extraction but it's not going to happen. Developing on the PS3 costs too much to begin with, and nobody will do it. NMH so a Japanese only release outside the Wii and failed terribly. That's the way it is. There's no way games like MadWorld and The Conduit will ever be ported. Like The Conduit, MadWorld will eventually get a sequel on the Wii, only.

@Machu and @Cipher.. and the best thing on Gamerankings too is that 4 of the 5 best games ever are playable on the Wii: SMG2, Ocarina of Time, SMG and Metroid Prime. 4 of 5. Unbelievable.

The new Prince of Persia game also seems to be the better version than the PS3/360 versions according to most reviews. Ubisoft knows its stuff when it comes to Wii games.

it doesn't make much sense. It's as if they would release The Conduit 2 with no online support. I also preferred the Gladiator graphics.

awesome news. Can't wait for this.. I've been waiting for something like this for years.. a true gaming device with resolutions/capabilities you don't have on your cellphone. I'll be all over this. Having the 3D capability option doesn't detract one bit from its revolutionary appeal. Indeed it's the same with the Wii giving the developer/consumer an option to choose.

Capcom already nailed the Wii's online to work flawlessly with TvC and Monster Hunter Tri, so Wii's online capability is really top notch at the moment.

I can't believe it didn't sell more. It should be 150M.

it will be a great game. The first was also announced for the Wii.. so I don't know how/when they'll release both.

@WaveBoy... I guess SW Force Unleashed II will use WM+ although honestly the first one worked just as well without one.

Hopefully this will signal a shift for 3rd parties to realize that hardcore games sell just as well on the Wii, if not better, if they do it right.

amazing interview, you really listened to the requests by users! Nintendo Life is really the best reason to have a Wii. HVS are also amazingly responsive in emails (they actually implied to me that the conduit 2 is coming long before it was announced!), and they're probably the best 3rd party supporter for the wii in terms of enthusiasm - if this game really comes out in 2010 Q4 this is a triumph.

I agree that it doesn't look like THQ's heart is in the right place. I wish more companies would learn from Capcom (Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Monster Hunter Tri), Ubisoft (Red Steel 2, No More Heroes 2) or Xseed (Sky Crawlers, Fragile) how to make or publish awesome 3rd party Wii exclusives.

SMG was perhaps the best game ever created... it's much better than the scrolling platformers and I like them too. The one I played the most though was Super Mario Land on the Gameboy.

It's good that the Wii is getting the superior FPS version. FPS work best on the Wii.

I don't understand the Classic Controller question. Every game that support classic controller supports classic controller pro - it's the same thing.

definitely picking this up... great review. and the review brought the metacritic score back to "green"! yippe. amazon had it on $20 hopefully gamestop will too.. anyway, I've seen it already and it's amazing game only thing missing is online/local dogfights.

anyway, Red Steel 2 is a great game that will have nice sales (definitely over a mlilion).... it is surprising though that they didn't make an event in the Nintendo store about the game. Hopefully they will for Monster Hunter (pretty sure they will).

btw, I don't see why 34th is bad. It's like the 10th best selling Wii game there. What spot did Settlers 7 take? 360 games will sell more when they debut... they're stronger games for mass appeal with online support... but good Wii games will sell for years. 34 is pretty good. As long it continues to sell, this is very good. If it was on TV like Alien vs Predator always is... it would have sold even more.

it seems to be doing just fine in the U.S. In fact it's doing remarkbly well. Bestbuy had it sold out, and numerous Gamestops said that it's selling amazing. it's in amazon's top 40 wii games consistently. Great games consistently do sell great on the Wii... and this one will too.. Monster Hunter will be a huge hit as it already was in Japan. Just by looking at Amazon's top 100 wii games you can see great games. If they released the games that sell well on other platforms on the Wii they will sell great as well. Modern Warfare Reflex is a prime example. ((Note to self: If I ever make a game, I'll sell it on the Wii with its larger install base. And I'll make it mature and good, not kiddie.))

the camera sells for $800 i think... this means that there's no way the DS camera will be 3D and I can't see the whole thing costing less than $500 if you think about it.. they have to price it no higher than $300 to be successful..
and on the other hand " Quality of 3D effect on many resulting images is so-so or gimmicky" - another review.

interesting that this failed but led the way to so many things - 3D gaming for consoles and handhelds obviously, but the article mentions the controller and even dual d-pads..

amazing game for the Wii, because of the controls and the graphics too, and I can't believe they didn't use the same formula for more games for the Wii.. not even Capcom but someone else, it's so gold and they just missed out.

NSMBWii, Metroid Prime, SMG, RE4, and World of Goo. But this should get a 10 too if they didn't list any cons. Btw, this version is better than the PC version for the graphics alone it's worth it.

sony are being douchebags as usual. Expect PSP3D in two years.

1) I think it's clear by now that the Vitality Sensor will not look like the picture shown. It will be something completely different.

2) While the idea sounds nice, I doubt it will ever be implemented. My heartbeat doesn't go up in any videogame and it'll never work IMO (then again, maybe I'm wrong with that - it can go up with those cheap thrills where someone jumps on you). The device can still be pretty cool.
