Re: Ubisoft Bringing Ghost Recon: Future Soldier to Wii

mnementh

@KrazyKain - that's so true!!! Imagine for example how much that Batman Asylum game will sell on the wii. It's Batman. Animated. And with better controls. The Wii always has better controls - period. And they should have made these ports before the copycat motion controllers. At least companies like LucasArts still have brains. They'll never make a SW game not for the Wii.

Re: MotionPlus Nabs A New Exclusive: Zelda Wii

@50: firstly, nyko wand sux secondly, it's unfair to whoever already purchased wm+ (i have more than one) and finally, the wii motion plus works for nintendo because it adds further prestige to certain games - if it's just part of what the wiimote does anyway then it's not that interesting.

Re: Sonic Playable in Super Mario Galaxy 2?

I don't see the problem if it's a cameo... he can appear in one of the stages. but "It'll be interesting to see him riding Yoshi, at least; that's worth a shot I'd say!" --> i'll be REALLY offended if Yoshi allows Sonic to ride on him... ugh.. Yoshi doesn't let just anyone ride on him.

Re: MotionPlus Nabs A New Exclusive: Zelda Wii

nintendo should release all these titles this year... metroid, zelda, smg2, sin and punishment2, and also surprise with kirby, pikmin, maybe starfox, AND all the RPG's... the reason they're not doing that is sales. Sure they'e also perfecting the games but they're also trying to make enough gaps to make sure the games sell 5 million or even 10 million copies like NSMBWII. Now I can understand that. But Wii already has the sales. To shut up ps/360 fanboys, Nintendo needs to have more AAA, more 90(+) reviews on metacritic... more games in "green". Having 20 top notch games in 2010 is what the wii needs... iit started well with 3rd party games Tatsanuko and NMH2, and it should continue.

Re: Luigi's Mansion to Get Sequel?

I bought the original, used, to play on the wii, so Ill be annoyed if it's new play control. I guess it was a risk but it'll be annnoying. Hopefully it's a sequel.

Re: Wii Software Sales Outmuscle Xbox 360

I didn't spend a few extra bucks on wii play. It was EXACTLY the same price as a new remote on Amazon, and possibly still is. I haven't played the game but I've heard a couple of mini games there are quite nice.

#WolfRamHeart:

"It seems this game turned out to be a whole lot better than the one on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Retro gaming FTW!"

That's good to hear, but it still doesn't justify that they're not releasing a version for the Wii. I'm beginning to be really scared for the wii's future and I don't like it.

Re: Review: Dark Void Zero (DSiWare)

Personally I don't think Capcom deserves any downloads of this. They put this on the Dsi and the rest of the franchise on the 360 and PS3 and what about the Wii? Frak them!!!

Re: Max & the Magic Marker Coming to Europe January 22

if this works, it's an example why wii is a great and unique console. That's what I thought after playing Nyxquest, that it beats anything from any other console... but I hope that it works well with the remote and not that you'd wish you had a mouse instead.

Re: Review: Avatar: The Game (Wii)

mnementh

@ Blue Protoman - quite true, and funny, but Sci Fi (or anything else) is rarely original and it has to borrow a lot. Would it have been better if Avatar was simply based on a book like most sci fi films? At least it's a new script.

Differences:
Jake was crippled
The avatar itself
All the creatures
The emotional/physical connection to the universe and everything else
The helicopters
Whether the Navi win or lose?
The science
...

Some of these were covered in Fern Gully, Dances with Wolves, Dragons of Pern and so much... but the end result is satisfying.

Re: Review: Avatar: The Game (Wii)

I love the reviews of Nintendo Life. However, this review falls shorts a little. The game deserves more than 5. It's just my opinion but I really liked the game I think the major point is this:

"Despite these control criticisms, the gameplay still manages to be quite enjoyable. Leaping down on unsuspecting soldiers and pummelling them with the Remote is undeniably fun, as is flying through canyons, shooting down helicopters and taking in all the tried-and-tested action film elements"

For that reason the game deserves a high score, because it really is fun and exciting. You have to be a fan of the film though.

  • I hated the WASP motion plus control, but it IS accurate - you can fly with it and sting the enemies... it's just a stupid use of the motion plus but it does work, and I can see the appeal if I imagine the avatar using his hand too... but it is a fail.
  • The BALANCE BOARD works brilliantly! I only flew the dragon with this, not with the nuncuk, and loved it.
  • The sequences they tell you to do with the remote ARE accurate, and it's really so much fun to be in a swamp and kill them one by one unexpectedly. I liked the gate things too...
