@PinderSchloss as a fellow Nintendo AND Sony lover for life I think the 2010’s and WiiU era really put people into a bad place. Needing to “win” may just be a signifier the thing they love will stick around.
@clianvXAi how did you feel about 1? I could see the blending of them being not being satisfactory if you wanted more of 2. I’m a 1 super fan and can see what you mean
@Anti-Matter if anything the foundation is the gameplay is rock solid IMO. The gameplay you’ll probably see from reviews and first impressions is early stuff which can look a bit dull, but the middle/later the complexity and difficulty ramp up in brilliant ways. It’s stellar.
I am so stoked to grab this. Me and the lady played through Battle for Bikini Bottom this past year and felt like kids again with our gamecube memories. Glad it scored well!
@bozz I’m with you. I consider myself a somewhat hardcore fan and am absolutely struggling with this one. I’m also an eternal optimist loving new Pokémon releases and all things Nintendo so I’m really torn here.
@Wilforce LoL (in 2015 when I started) was unbelievably restricting in what you could do. Obviously champs, even summoner spells like smite ffs. This isn’t really that bad. Warrants a complain, but fine
@Anti-Matter the problem at higher levels is Pokémon specialize in very certain areas. The KO time is very quick and before you have time to set up or even have a chance to heal (which isn’t super how Pokémon works anyhow it’s self healing or item healing) your fast offensive Pokémon can typically KO most things under the sun or get KO’ed themselves if they have a bad type matchup. Also reviving isn’t an option broadly.
Also, triple battles are/were a thing. People in a vacuum will say they liked and want them back, but like other gimmicks most people either care about 4v4 double battles (which offers much more creative freedom) or 6v6 singles.
@UltimateOtaku91 I’m with you in the difficulty. I’m completing every quest and hero mission as I go and not using the banked XP at all as a result. Some of the boss battles can still be tough though which is nice regardless
