I was just at EB here in Canada, and they were told that no more NES mini past the end of February, and that mini SNES was expected by years end. Not sure how true this is, but at this point I gotta go retron or raspberry pi - I really want a mini!

@Yasume I'd like to say you are trolling, but you are pretty much dead on. With the exception of Zelda, all switch games seem grossly overpriced to me. There is no excuse to not pack in 1-2 switch as a digital coupon, none at all. At $20 I would buy Bomberman instantly. At $60 Canadian dollars? No way, I would rather track down a vintage SNES with multi tap and Super Bomberman. Unless if something amazing happens in terms of backwards compatibility and VC, I may cancel my pre order.

Ive never really sat down and given any sonic game a proper chance. I have both Wii U and 3DS - what do you guys recommend as a starting point?

This is why I only buy digital games now. You cant expect someone to support optical forever. I know one thing: my 3DS and Wii U won't be going anywhere

If they do an Alpha Flight pack then I am in.

Despite having a Wii since launch, my kids came around the same time and so I feel like I missed a lot of good games for it. I hate trying to track stuff down, so releases like this are great. While I did get this one on disc, I will likely get rid of it in favor of a digital release. Here's hoping to releases like Paper Mario and Skyward Sword.

@CB85 @chardir - I think we are getting a lot more than just a rewards program - I feel that with the NX we are (finally) going to get cross buy, and have our eshop purchases tied to IDs rather than hardware.

I was really hoping for Hyrule Warriors to go on sale. Looks like my wallet is safe.

My $300 dollar tv that I bought during a late night milk run to Wal Mart does better on the Wii U VC than what these images show.

I love how games look on it. Yes this mod makes sense for those with a huge library, but I get my $5 each and everytime I buy an NES game on the eShop.

Ok I dont even know how many rimes I have already bought this game (PS3, Gamecube, Wii) Really wish we would get the HD version though, but I might buy it one more time.

@Ayronom yes I know it was designed that way originally, but I dont see why it doesnt have enough CPU power to do both

This is now officially into cruel and unusual punishment territory. I want this game now.

I think this is an interesting concept but not so much for piracy; my understanding is that Amiibos only have enough memory to store the data for 1 game. I have no idea what happens if I wipe the data from a SSB Amiibo to use in Mario Party (does my system save it?). This looks like a cool way to save multiple Amiibo profiles - but this could have been solved at the source with more memory. Sounds silly in an age of cheap ram/storage, but remember that in 2007 Nintendo gave us a Wii remote with only 4K (yes, K!) of RAM.

I am considering getting this game, but really wanted 2-4 player local co-op. Was this added in 2.0, or is there any chance of it coming?

Awesome news, and I know that it is unrelated, but I hope that once we get the New 3DS we get crossbuy with the Wii U - particularly with the VC

Really disappointed that Super Metroid wasn't a part of this. Somehow, I have managed to play every Metroid game except Super Metroid. I think I will just have to stop being cheap and pay the $8 for it

I will definitely be getting this, but I really hope we can get other Mega Man games like 8 and Mega Man Soccer

I know this is a bit late ... but I really hope we get this on the Wii U VC soon. I can't believe that Nintendo hasn't made a significant effort to have parity between Wii and the Wii U Virtual console service.

Even if we don't get Neo Geo and the other cool stuff, there is no excuse not to get NE, SNES, N64, etc.

I have a little girl who loves all the stuff that her dad does, but doesn't have enough options for girl stuff - girl transformers, superheroes, etc and loves Princess Peach, so this is great for me.

To everyone complaining about the price - I agree you can get most of the experience for $5 or less on mobile, but let's say you want to buy super powers, you can pay $30 just for unlimited power use - I am sure there are other micro transactions. I imagine that at $30, this is already built into the price. Not saying its a great price, but not a terrible one either if this is the case. Although, it would have been a lot nicer to have it on Wii U and being able to hold the gamepad like a book.

@memoryman3 - well that is why I would not have full games on smartphones - I really think Nintendo benefits from controlling their hardware the same way Apple does, and I like having buttons and Dpads and stuff

I think that this guy is onto something - I just don't agree with his example. Imagine that there was an app, related to Mario - either a minigame, or some kind of trivia thing or whatever, that if you played, would unlock something in a retail 3DS/Wii U game (this transaction could be free). It really helps Nintendo to capture the attention of the market that is looking for Nintendo (or knockoffs, of which there are many) on their smart devices. But the ey is to link it back to a console.
