Re: Anniversary: Nintendo Switch Launched Two Years Ago Today

leo13

I woke my 5 & 7 year old kids up at 11:20pm so that they could go to the midnight launch with me. We had a blast. I took the next day off work and we played Zelda, Bomberman & Snipper Clips!
Turns out the real value for me has been taking it on work trips and playing on the plane & in the hotel

Re: New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe Japanese Sales Prove Plumber Port Profitability

@KingdomHeartsFan @Sandro89 @Mogster
I know I'm late to the party, but I'd like to chime in.
I bought a Wii U on launch day and I bought almost EVERY SINGLE AAA game on that system. They are AWESOME games, and I dumped a lot of time and money into it.
That being said, I'm one of the people begging Nintendo to port more Wii U games. I sold my Wii U to help finance my Switch addiction and I want to play more Xenoblade X & Wonderful 101 and I'd be more than happy to pay $60 each.
Yes they're selling a 5 year old game for $60, but that price is a discount compared to what I paid. I bought NSMBU for $60 and NSLU for $20 (I paid $80) I very much enjoyed the game and I am not up for paying $60 again, but if it ever makes Nintendo Selects I'd love to buy it for$20.
I loved DKC:TF on Wii U, but I'm hoping to buy it in the $30 price range on Switch so I didn't pull that trigger.
MK8 I bought in both systems and it was cheaper on Switch because it came up the DLC AND a legit multiplayer and you can now hold 2 items. (I bought 2 copies on Switch so that my wife and I and 2 of our kids can all 4 play online together) and I don't regret it.
If you're mad about the ports be mad at someone like me because I'm buying some of them and I'm begging for even more.
Don't be mad at Nintendo, believe it or not they're actually pumping out new games faster this gen then they ever did in Wii U.

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 Confirmed For Switch, Launches This June

@rockodoodle I went the opposite direction. We wanted multiple Switches to play Splatoon & Mario Kart online together as a family so I sold my Wii U (which I loved) and we own 3 switches. We played both games online together quite a bit 3 player Splatoon & 6 player Mario Kart. I don't quite regret it as we have had a ton of fun... But I assumed the only game I would really lose was Nintendo Land, but I'm no longer feeling as sure about that. At least we'll have Mario Maker again soon

Re: PlatinumGames Still Wants To Get The Wonderful 101 On Switch

This is my second most wanted Wii U port (Xenoblade X being #1) I sold my Wii U, but I would gladly buy the Switch version of this game to be able play it again. The demo for this game almost convinced me not to buy it... It was an awful demo. Fortunately I decided to go for the gamble and I LOVED IT

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 9th)

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (I just made it to the final boss so I'm hoping to conquer it today).
NBA Playgrounds 2 (my wife & I are loving the free new content they released this week)
Splatoon 2(going to play Splatfest with my wife & kids... Might as well take advantage of owning 3 Switches)
Ys VIII (gotta have an action JRPG going so if I finish Xenoblade I'll start Ys VIII)

Re: Japanese Analyst Sets Record Straight About The Sales Performance Of Switch

@thesilverbrick you assume that if they had set the goal at 15 million they would have still achieved the same 17 million where I assume they would have sold LESS because they would have had a lower goal and they wouldn't have work as hard to try and eek out everything they could in an attempt to hit that 20. If they set a goal of 15 million and sell 15.5 million THAT'S WORSE than setting a goal of 20 million and selling 17 million regardless of what idiot investors think

@MisterKorman @marandahir @boxyguy @1UP_MARIO @Lizuka @The_Legged_One @Orin41 @Orin41 @Aozz101x @Muddy_4_Ever one of you guys that are saying that this is perfect for mobile will have to help me understand how the controls will work because to me it sounds awful! I can see tap the screen to rotate and swipe down to drop but trying to quickly align it perfectly by swiping sounds hard
