Re: "Don't Let Nintendo Ruin The Entire Industry" - Is $80 For Mario Kart World A Bridge Too Far?

I'm not over the moon about the $80 price tag, so if I can't get the bundle I'll hold off until a black friday sale or something (my backlog is certainly big enough.) After the direct hype cooled I needed to remember that I could always...just not buy something if I don't like the price.

Also, to the big N's credit they made it very clear if you already own BOTW and TOTK that you won't have to pay twice? It's not a remaster, or it's not comparable to a "Last of Us" situation at all I don't think.

I'll be critical of Nintendo as I think they deserve some critique, but if people scoop up a $100 GTA6 and it sells like crazy, the state of gaming can't really be Nintendo's fault, at least not alone.

I think a new 3D Mario gets me to buy the console rather than buying upon release, so that's top of the list for me. I can wait a little bit longer on a new Smash, a Zelda remake would be great. Oracle of seasons/ages seems like a layup along with the obvious WW/TP. I'm really hoping for a Baldur's Gate and Elden Ring port, so we'll see, fingers crossed!

Re: Your 'Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2024' Stats Are Available Now

My brain just goes crazy for this type of stuff.

I was at 33 games for 327 hours.

1. Breath of the Wild - 33 hours (I know I'm late but I just adore this game.)
2. Star Wars KOTOR - 32 hours (Childhood nostalgia, a nice port, and had to 100% with a min/max run)
3. Mario Kart 8 - 27 hours (fairly self-explanatory and my mother LOVES MK8)

Tried to play games roughly equally rather than going deep on a game or two. We'll see if I do that again this coming year!
