Re: Reggie Fils-Aime: Fanbase Demands Are 'Insatiable'

I think Nintendo is doing a good job. I mean, they are selling to multiple audiences. I know, to some people, it seems like Nintendo is "their" company, that whatever Nintendo sells is directed towards them. But that's not the case; there really isn't a need to feel threatened and misunderstood when Nintendo releases a new Wii Fit. They have other people to cater to.

Re: Wii U Power Lacks a 'Generational Leap'

crazyj2312

I don't think the Wii U will trail too far. I don't think there's going to be as huge a gap as the PS2 is to the PS3. I don't see how far the graphics can go from where the are now so I think the PS4 will be more of a PS3.5 and the Wii U would be like the PS3

Re: E3 2012: Nintendo's 3DS Software Showcase Live

crazyj2312

The reason I didn't like it was because everything they showed, we kind of already knew about. They made it seem like they were going to reveal some all important stuff, since the conference was stand alone. But all it was was a very tiny bit of info on things we've already seen and a reel of third party games that looked very unappealing (to me). Personally, I was hoping they would hint at something like an update or something but not even that.

Re: Iwata Defends Identical Digital and Retail Prices

crazyj2312

He just doesn't want people to feel ripped off when buying the product, providing the option but no exclusive benefits. Someone may have internet but no store nearby, or may have a store nearby and no internet. They'll both be be getting a fair deal, in the eyes of Iwata.

Re: Nintendo Still Envisions Selling Retail Games Digitally

crazyj2312

I'd like to buy a few games if they come at a cheaper price. Like if the retail was $40 and the download was $25-30 I'd be all for it. While I wouldn't be able to trade the games back in, I'd have the satisfaction that I can always redownload it should anything happen to the data.

Re: Talking Point: What New Super Mario Bros. 2 Means for 3DS and Nintendo

crazyj2312

I still think they're just giving 3DS owners more than one option when they want a Mario game. Several people were complaining about 3D Land's low difficulty (including myself; I was able to get all the star coins within two weeks lol) so maybe this will raise the level of challenge.

But if not, they're still giving a decent list to choose from: a side scrolling game, a 3D game, a kart game, a tennis game, an rpg and luigi's mansion. I don't think they expect people to buy every one, just the ones they find interesting. They aren't marketing to the same exact group of people every time they release a game.

Re: Nintendo Reveals New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS

crazyj2312

I can't wait. I like the idea of putting a lot of Mario on the system. I don't think they expect everyone to buy every single game; I think they just want people to buy the ones that interests them the most, offering a decent variety in many genres. Kart, Tennis, 3D platforming, 2D sidescrolling, RPG and Virtual Console are all options.

Re: Talking Point: Is Wii U's Power Really That Important?

crazyj2312

The Wii was ok, but nobody developed for it. I'm not saying good games didn't come out, just that Bioshock, Assasin's Creed, Batman Arkham Asylum/City and many other third party titles were on the other systems because the Wii couldn't handle them. I think graphics capability matters a bit.

Re: Feature: The Mistakes of the 3DS Launch

crazyj2312

@kyuubikid213 I guess a lot of people felt the drop was just too drastic and too soon. And not everyone feels that old games are worthwhile compensation. Playing old games is alright with me but in all honesty if they gave me 50 dollars worth of credit to buy games in the eShop, I would have been happier since I'd at least have some options.

Re: Nintendo Rejects The Binding of Isaac

crazyj2312

I guess Nintendo knows that games like this + American moms = controversy. It never occurs to most adults who find M rated games offensive that you can simply avoid these mature games, Though popular, they're never the only games to play. But some people fighting against it believe that if they just didn't exist, it would be better.

OPINION: I don't think The Binding of Issac would have been appealing to many who own the system anyway. It seems it'd be much easier to avoid controversy altogether rather than publish it, fight off the mass of crazy parents and only make a small amount of sales from those who really want it.

It doesn't make sense at first and seems like Nintendo isn't being wise, but I think they made the right call. The only reason there's no uproar now is because it's on Steam and most parents don't even know it exists. If it was on a Nintendo system, a well known platform, not only Nintendo but McMillen would be under fire.

Re: Review: 3DS Circle Pad Pro

crazyj2312

I want it, but I hate that it's only being sold at Gamestop. The last thing I want is to give them my business. Not everyone has problems with Gamestop, I know, but those of us who do are getting horrible service.

Re: Guide: Nintendo 3DS eShop Demos

crazyj2312

Glad I upped to an 8GB SD.

On a side note, I nearly crapped myself while playing the RE demo. (I'm not good at playing horror games.) The graphics really surprised me though. I saw the screenshots but actually playing the game blew me away.

Wish more games would take advantage of the 3DS like this.
